I heard Michelle’s interview pre match and sounds like she’s sticking by Butler. I hope it works it. Turns out Butler was on any type of written contract when he joined us, it was purely a verbal contract.

It’s the written contract he was offered 7 games later which is going to cost us “The club”.

What makes it all the more comical is the fact that if Michelle had held off a little longer to see the downturn in for it would have took one word and he would have been out the door and wouldn’t have cost us a penny.

I know Michelle has done wonders at this club and I’ll forever be thankful, but the way this club is run at times, it’s like a circus.

Kinda with Fansy on this one and just hope he turns it around as he learns his trade and promotion is back on the cards after the next 10 games.

If Butler keeps with this formation and lasts another 10 games I’ll be more than a little surprised. In regards to the new managers not rating the previous managers players I agree with, but we have a high enough standard of player here for a half decent manager to get more out of.

Most managers would dream of having whitehall/beck up front with roberts and carlton out wide. Brogan in CM in a quality player, as is beestin. There is enough here to satisfy a new manager.

Appears the players have lost faith in Butlers formation and have subsequently lost faith in Butler because it’s him that causing them to struggle so much.

I could very well be wrong, but that what it looks like to me.

Could be down to the fact Dean and Butler are both as clueless as each other ?. Dean is doing poorly at this new club…surprise, surprise. I will however state we have players obviously ahead of him and the reason we’re struggling is not because we aren’t playing him.

The blame is purely laid at Butler’s door.

If he wants to get the best out of Beck then play him up top with Whitehall when fit and a couple of wingers

Going by what Butler said pre and post match, it will be Whitehall and Beck up front in the same formation. If Butler was going to change it and go with Roberts and Carlton out wide, he would have done it Yesterday.

Yesterday was the perfect time to try something new, but seems he has no intention of changing it up. Only way he’ll change it up is if pressure is put on him to change formation from higher up, but apart from that scenario coming about, I can’t see him deviating from this formation.

Accusing other posters of taking drugs for posting their opinions, should this be allowed?

Is this any different than claiming a poster is blind drunk after a stupid response ?

Stop being soft, it was clearly a joke.

I don’t really blame Law as such, he should have been put up for transfer/released last season due to his injury record. Evans isn’t right for this level. Denton I like, but he isn’t a wing back.

“It’s about using him “beck” in the right way, doesn’t mean we’re going to go long”

The ball spent nearly whole of the 2nd half hoofed up to beck which worked, strange thing was there were no runners to pick up the balls he constantly won.

Does that mean we should have gone short today and not long, or was the plan to go long, but the players just forgot to run forward and collect the balls beck won ?

    I’m genuinely confused.

I doubt it, Leamington I think are undefeated at home and couple that with some players look like they’re not playing for Butler, I can’t see us winning that. A draw at best.

He needs a midfielder needs a formation change

We all know what he needs, but he seemingly doesn’t want change nor thinks he needs it. As said before, he’ll field this formation until he’s fired.

Evans has been fairly poor up to now and has been at fault numerous times. Not worth the sizeable wage he’ll be on.

We need an experienced manager with no club ties who knows who and what it takes it get out of the division. Wilcox can stay where he is, but I’d take Trinity’s striker.

I’ve said numerous times that Butler is worse than Dean was. I never rated Dean, but he was still a better manager than Butler. Butler’s absolutely clueless. I’d put him on par with Knill.

Best way of describing Butler is that he’s the Tomi Ameobi of football managers.

This more than just today’s defeat iron-awe, Butler is well and truly out of his depth. A large part of it is this formation and he won’t stop fielding it until he’s fired. Butler could have another 2 wingers walk through the door and he’d still do exactly the same and it’s this blind stubbornness which is costing us.

Be interesting to see where and how carlton fits in now Beck is here. Butler will more than likely go with Whitehall and beck up top so only place he can play is the no 10 role occupied by Roberts and there’s no chance he’ll be going anywhere, and neither should he.

Butler from his interview the other day is keeping with this formation.

Always happens at this club. For seasons upon seasons we’ve favoured other players above our own, same with Pugh, Wootton e.t.c. Rowley will be the next one to go.

Law could do with being shed too. One is he’s never fit and two, we’ve got Kelly and Denton fit. Pointless waste of a wage. According to Butler we are to sign beck before the game on Sat, so Beestin will definitely drop back to CM which will push Rowley firmly into the background.

    Rowley was an odd signing.

According to SST we’re waiting on international clearance to come through on Luke Williams and Mark Beck “An old throwback Steve Torpey Type Battering Ram” is proving to be a tad difficult to get over the line as he’s currently out on loan from his parent club.

We’ll have to not only convince him to drop down a level, but we’ll have to either take his current loan deal over or get him and his parent club to cancel said loan deal and then take him on a perm contract till end of the season.

Beck’s contract runs out end of this season. If this is to come off, it’s going to be prove difficult to get over the line. We could do with somebody like Beck and a midfield destroyer.

Swann’s mouthpiece then , rather than Hilton’s henchman, either way he came across as an absolute arse hole and his record of finding players for the last however many seasons has been incredibly poor = The termination of his contract.

    I can’t say I’m surprised.

Unless his game has changed significantly since he was here before he plays either where Roberts or Beestin play. Not as good as the first and not as reliable or hard working as the second.

Certainly not the silver bullet for the 5-3-2 system.

Hope he’s not a replacement for a departing Roberts in January.

My guess is that he’s arriving to free up Beestin to play up front.

    Turnbull was in football matters

Yes, going out and supposedly identifying players which have proved to not be very good. I like Turnbull, but he’s been living off his past exploits for far too long now.

Acting as Hilton’s henchman wasn’t great either, but he was always here when we needed him so hope he’s ok when it comes to finding further employment. I’m sure another team will employ him in one position or another.

Ste on twitter has suggested Mark Beck Ex Darlington… that would be a good signing

A huge big and nasty who’s played against us before. Doesn’t fit Mick’s description. Could the player Mick saw have been Barrows in a wig ?. On a more serious note we need players of that ilk and could do with a midfield destroyer to go with him.

I was only saying the other day I did see the point in us keeping him around. Turnbull has always been there in the background, but he was living off his past exploits at finding Keogh, sharp, hooper e.t.c years before.

Then as stated above you had Turnbull threatening fans and turning on them over Hilton which didn’t go down too well. New C.E.O will do whatever he was doing behind the scenes.

Butler was asked about signing young loan players too add to us and his response to idea came across to me as if he wasn’t interested in going down that route.

Signing a Luke Williams with a shocking injury record who previously plied his trade at a 2rd division Icelandic club seems more appealing to him. Talented, but he’s another who’s lightweight.

Where’s our even more needed, dominant CM player?

Pretty sure were to sign Luke Williams who’s been training with us for the last 6 weeks. Butler is still signing players to play in his beloved 3/5/2 formation.

Telling you now, I can’t see this ending well.

Speaking with a chorley fan account on twitter who replied to a post about Carlton and he’s just confirmed what we all suspected. Carlton played as winger during his time for both Farsley and the Chorley. Left hand side of a front 3 at both clubs according to the Chorley account.

What made Butler sign him as an out and out striker ?. No wonder he’s struggling when you combine that with his over eagerness to impress and still finding match fitness.

Butler at the minute has the players to play a 4/3/3 formation, all he has to do is move the players around, but clearly won’t do it. Butler still thinks his formation is the one we need.

Read twitter posts and listen to people on a match day and we all say exactly the same thing about the formation not working. Butler after yet another defeat and a terrible performance is still claiming the formation is fine.

Up to press this season we’ve had two complete performances and one of those was against a shocking Farsley side. I honestly don’t know what he’s watching.

I’m puzzled as to why fans are thinking more players are going to turn this around with Butler in charge. The man is in complete and utter denial.

Regarding new additions not making a difference – we shall see.

In this system, No. To play this system effectively we’ll need two natural wing backs, two new CB’s and another striker. These players we have at the minute are not suited to the formation Butler wants them to play in.

We all can see it, only person who can’t is Butler.
