Was right on October 5th. And even more sure I’m right now. BUTLER OUT.
Football match wise that was a new low Rylands were so poor in the 1st half, worked the ball into our area twice then on the third time from a free kick I may had we let them score with obviously with their first chance, one 6 footer in a team of dwarfs (goalie included) and we let him have a free run into the box ffs, from a team with a defensive set up bloody disgusting. Second half another chance another goal then like at Southport you knew that was that.
Not so much can we afford to sack him more a case of can we afford not to.
Very small crowd they didn’t even announce it.
And people said Dean was out his depth today it made Dean look like Guardiola.
Butler just go just bloody go your destroying the club.1 user thanked author for this post.

November 16, 2024 at 6:59 pm #294001Seen a stat that we haven’t won on Saturday since August? Played 14 won 3? That is a damning stat in what is a pub league.

November 16, 2024 at 7:19 pm #294005Today’s defeat cost Michelle a minimum of £4000 in prize money, let alone the good will that is dwindling fast and goes without saying crowds as well.
November 16, 2024 at 7:59 pm #294018A very disappointing result today but it wasn’t Butler who missed all those chances or was on the field defending those 2 Rylands headed goals. The players have to take the blame today.
November 16, 2024 at 8:55 pm #294027If Butler goes I guess the managers of Curzon, Chester and Hereford will also go for losing to lower league opposition in a piss pot cup competition. Tough gig this football managers lark.
November 16, 2024 at 9:02 pm #294028This more than just today’s defeat iron-awe, Butler is well and truly out of his depth. A large part of it is this formation and he won’t stop fielding it until he’s fired. Butler could have another 2 wingers walk through the door and he’d still do exactly the same and it’s this blind stubbornness which is costing us.

If Butler was playing 5 today i don’t think he would have been as Static as Evans for that second goal. But we are lucky to have such quality signings, apparently.
November 16, 2024 at 10:06 pm #294044Evans has been fairly poor up to now and has been at fault numerous times. Not worth the sizeable wage he’ll be on.
November 17, 2024 at 12:37 am #294051Feels like we have the same conversation every year going back to Robins, every time we regress further.
Honestly don’t know where we go, the team/management are devoid of confidence and we are in free fall.
I do agree with the general consensus the formation is no longer working, however our problems are probably deeper than simply going 4 at the back.
Next 2 games being away could be a blessing for him
November 17, 2024 at 1:30 am #294052I doubt it, Leamington I think are undefeated at home and couple that with some players look like they’re not playing for Butler, I can’t see us winning that. A draw at best.

November 17, 2024 at 7:02 am #294053Where’s Cassandra when you need her?
November 17, 2024 at 9:22 am #294073When the EFL Transfer window opens, hopefully some of those on L2 wages might interest a desperate club. Mainly Evans, Law and Fitzsimmons. i’d let Whitehall go, even if it upsets his biggest fan on here.
November 17, 2024 at 9:34 am #294076Is Beck in place already in preparation for that CMC ? As for Evans, just go somewhere else please.
I was at the Warrington Ryland’s match yesterday and as supportive as I am towards Andy Butler, that second half was absolutely dross, unfortunately hitting the woodwork and skimming balls past the post are misses and don’t count for anything. Yet again we gave them both goals on a plate, Denton and Evans are an absolute liability.
The form table doesn’t lie and in my opinion AB is skating on extremely thin ice.
Leamington unbeaten at home so if we were in reasonably decent form then getting a draw there would be OK but it is now a must win game as is Darlington
With Fitzsimons, Boycey, Beestin and Whitehall back in the starting 11 plus Beck (who couldn’t really be faulted yesterday and will be a threat at this level) then we should win that game, if not we all know how this story ends.1 user thanked author for this post.
November 17, 2024 at 9:44 am #294078I don’t really blame Law as such, he should have been put up for transfer/released last season due to his injury record. Evans isn’t right for this level. Denton I like, but he isn’t a wing back.
November 17, 2024 at 9:58 am #294081Denton’s injury was a long time ago now.
Another victim of our ‘system?’November 17, 2024 at 3:10 pm #294156I think victims of our system is about right.
The players do need to take their portion of the blame but if they are being asked to play in a system that they’re not familiar / comfortable with then they will struggle.
I thought Evans was one of our better players last season, the only difference between then and now is that he’s playing in a three.
What compounds the problem is it’s not just one player that’s being asked to adjust to a new system / position with the help of those around them, numerous players are being asked to do so all at once without anyone with experience to look to for support.1 user thanked author for this post.
November 17, 2024 at 3:34 pm #294163Appears the players have lost faith in Butlers formation and have subsequently lost faith in Butler because it’s him that causing them to struggle so much.
I could very well be wrong, but that what it looks like to me.

November 18, 2024 at 10:45 am #294236There are one or two posters on X who are tediously relentless with the ‘Butler Out’ mantra. Almost like they have a vendetta. Particularly when they go out of their way to text in BBC Humberside post match and repeat the same mantra. At what point do these actions stray from mere opinion in to obsessive demands, putting unnecessary pressure on a Board that has just signed two new additions to help change on pitch performances? Unity? What feckin unity?
November 18, 2024 at 12:01 pm #2942452 new additions 6 weeks to late, Whether that’s Butler’s fault or the board’s who knows, but Butler is the manager so fans will target him.
To me and what I’ve seen and heard he’s toast the feeling and resentment is built in now and the only way to shut it down is to go on a winning run till xmas just to start with, but even then don’t think Garth did that blog straight after the game and everyone bar one said out, his match blog the final few seconds some unknown walks past and shouted his opinion wanting him out that night.
I wouldn’t call it excessive demands Michelle hired him on the cheap, but like the saying goes pay peanuts you’ll only get monkeys, footballs all about pressure if it’s on the board now so be it, Butler’s not handling his pressure well he went straight down the tunnel for the second week running.
Unity there’s no unity and there never will be.2 users thanked author for this post.
November 18, 2024 at 1:13 pm #294246Only things I’ll counter that with is people are more extreme in the heat of the moment straight after a game, and you can pay more than peanuts and still not get ‘the man’, as our managerial history since Swann took over reflects

November 18, 2024 at 1:56 pm #294251Talking of interviews Deerey Sherbert put Michelle’s interview up from Saturday on tuther side ,paid a fee for Beck, told Butler to carry on the way he sees best, but then with an add on well at least for a couple of weeks, now that’s a positive, didn’t know you had to sign someone by 12 o’clock on a friday to be able to play on a Saturday. I’ll let that one go sure you’ll know why bless em.
Couldn’t say anything different than Turnbulls contract was terminated, being polite for being sacked.
Sure someone can put the interview on here but not me I’m afraid.November 18, 2024 at 2:14 pm #294254Here you go AWAYZ sorry long link pulled it off X
November 18, 2024 at 2:32 pm #294256Last 2 or 3 mins of the interview ESPECIALLY very interesting listening.

November 21, 2024 at 9:06 pm #294382To me and what I’ve seen and heard he’s toast the feeling and resentment is built in now.
Unity there’s no unity and there never will be.The board certainly haven’t helped the feeling of resentment with the contract extension** which I said at the time had fanned the flames, but was quickly shot down by our super-mod as ‘total exaggeration’. Alas it’s now a constant talking point and causing questions to be asked of the board and their decision making. The timing, on the back of some disappointing league results and an FA cup knockout from Guiseley, was questionable and as I said previously had a ‘stuff the fans’ feel so clearly hasn’t helped the ‘UNITY’.
**the extension that according to Michelle’s most recent interview wasn’t an extension it was just a contract as he didn’t have one in the first place. Find this a little staggering that as a professional outfit we have a manager and an assistant manager signing players and steering the ship without having actually put pen to paper. Even the Dog and Duck would have some paperwork in place? Nevertheless even if there wasn’t, it still doesn’t explain the need to give him a 2 season deal instead of to the end of this season.

November 21, 2024 at 11:30 pm #294384Blip – morphed in to a blob.
Is the blip sustainable.
Sounds as if Turnbullgate is purely a cost cutting exercise.
Inexperienced staff, inexperienced manager, inexperienced directors… it doesn’t bode well. -
