Pathetic by Wealdstone.
Hopefully the National League come down on them like a ton of bricks.
Embarrassing for the Wealdstone fans.1 user thanked author for this post.
RIP.

To be fair to Amorin, at least he’s got enough class to actually turn up in person at Blundell Park. Unlike Ferguson when they played us.

Why would he ?
I guarantee if you were the manager awaywego you would be 10 times more “prickly” than AB and wouldn’t care less what anyone said.Lest we forget, the 2023 fans forum was fantasy island.
A new training ground site identified, academy remaining in place for 23/24, land acquired on Glebe Road, new stadium, £2 million set aside, blah blah blah. This 2025 forum was a refreshing change.

If anyone who couldn’t or didn’t go wants to make their own mind up on player performances or the pitch, the entire match is on Sunderland’s YouTube with picture quality DAZn can only dream of.
Was at the game and even though it wasn’t pretty, that was a great result. Two fantastic goals from us!
Got to say though that Campbell is an absolute liability. Flapped at everything that went near him in the air and should not have let that ball bounce on his 6 yard line for their goal. Decent enough save at the end but nothing that no other goalkeeper should be letting past them.
For their goal though…there is absolutely no way that the ball crossed the line, will be interesting to see a replay!
P.s. what a find Ewing may turn out to be, our best player by a mile.
The kid is on his league debut against a tough side, away from home and his team has won and the only goal conceded you say didn’t even cross the line !
And you’re still having a dig at him, he’s our keeper.
Well done to AB, Campbell and the rest.12 users thanked author for this post.
Playoffs.
Thanks for explaining that for all of us simpletons.

Could just buy our own shares ?
This first 10 game’s acceptability is meaningless, it’s just a build up to criticism if they haven’t got X points.
I’m pretty sure we’ve been relegation zone after 10 games and then gone on to get promoted.
Equally we’ve been top and then fallen away.
I’m not as concerned with the goal keeper as BLT who will take mid table, yet I actually think we will be around the playoffs at the end of the season.
Tamworth away is horrible opener though, they could probably finish third in a champions league group just getting 0-0s.Having received the email from the trust it makes for an interesting question.
Please reply to this email by August 4thwhether or not you would support “OB1” with a simple YES or NO.
My answer isn’t so simple – Yes, I would have, but now they’ve rejected the initial offer, probably No I don’t.
From what we’ve seen I don’t think this board of directors wants much involvement with The Iron Trust and would rather keep them at arms length.

Anyway, Chadwick looks a good signing.
Up The Iron !Fitz – Most clean sheets in the lowest league, it’s great but I guarantee if Campbell keeps as many clean sheets but drops 6 clangers it’s the clangers we’ll hear about on here and the clean sheets will be “it’s a team effort “. People are panicking way too early.
If Campbell can’t hack it he will be replaced, whether that’s before or during the season he won’t get any mercy in football- he knows that, Butler knows that, Muzzy knows it, the board knows, I don’t know why we can’t support him fully to try and make it.

It’s the easiest thing in the world now to say get an experienced keeper. If he isn’t good enough you can say “I told you so” and if he is good enough you can say “Butler was lucky, he turned out ok”.
I’m not going to write him off based on trophy matches and friendlies, has he ever played behind the same defence in any game for us ? It’s all makeshift and trialists every time.
Give the lad a chance and some support.1 user thanked author for this post.
Ah, I didn’t realise that. Not surprised judging from his performances last season.
Maybe Butler could convince The Posh to step him up one league at a time. What about trying to get Oliver Rose back on loan from Peterborough ?
….and, Jean Belehouan .
Pleased to hear this, and definitely the right thing to do, particularly considering how it happened and the mitigating factors.
A few months back on here, someone shot me down in flames when I suggested it’d be good if the Club did the right thing by Barrows, bearing in mind that, essentially, the state of the pitch caused the injury.
I was also criticised on here for suggesting an opinion that the pitch was a major factor in Barrow’s injury.
The very least the club can do is support him in the way they are.June 2, 2025 at 9:52 am in reply to: Liz Truss joins thug who battered OAP to launch whiskey at Glanford Park #305320Anybody in charge, in their right mind, who heard Zanetti’s slurred garbage on the tannoy at half time in the Chester league game would have binned him on the spot (literally the centre spot). They didn’t and here we are.
Might not have been as simple as that given how far down the line of planning they were (contracts, promotion, agreements etc)
I get that but, after all the pre match stuff from the club telling fans not to do anything that might cause trouble, they invite someone to have the microphone who promptly starts chanting “F off Chester” after his initial incoherent nonsense fizzled out. Did they need to see any more ? I didn’t.

My guesses from the list are : Ross Barrows, Alfie Beestin, Michael Kelly, Joe Starbuck and Andrew Boyce will stay.
Michael Clunan, I think will stay – he gave up part time to join us and at his age I think he’s doing it more for his football career than money and I think he’ll want to play in the NL.
Ross Fitzsimons, seem to be enough rumours that he will be going elsewhere.
Maxim Kouogun, I’m not sure, it wouldn’t surprise me if he got a better offer elsewhere.
Callum Roberts, and Danny Whitehall – I don’t think we’ll be matching Hilton’s fantasy contract levels with them. I really hope they stay but my guess is they will go.
Unbelievable Jeff, unless you’re a Darlington fan in which case it is totally expected.
I loved the “Roberts again….” chant when he got the morons back over the wall near the end.
There’s going to be some players that, however much they’d like to stay, could very well be offered better terms elsewhere – I’m thinking Whitehall and Roberts.
As professional footballers, their heads or their agents heads will ultimately rule over their hearts.Well done Andy, mission accomplished. Thank F**k.
According to their website, Chester have been allocated 1500 tickets and are also doing a ST holders first for a couple of days.
Post mortem on ABs management and the team already done on other threads unfortunately.
Good luck to Andy and the team, hope everyone has an enjoyable day. Up The Iron

Not a bad effort Dave, completely omitted the club being evicted from Glanford Park and then squatting there. He managed to make defrauding a council of £68k sound like a parking ticket. It’s ok though he didn’t walk into a bank with a sawn off shotgun or do anything to kids.
Players never missed a payment apart from the final month, better not mention Taft then, and even that final month is ok because he told Michelle about it, but no mention of the £70+k raised by fans to help pay it after he pulled the plug.
The 1899 money is just £72k that came and went as part of the £1 million he apparently lost overall, cry me a river.2 users thanked author for this post.
I believe he was last seen wandering around Strasbourg shouting “Liam, Liam where are you ?”
