Well, there goes my hope for a normal day.
The police are the public, the public are the police. I understand the need and difficulties for firearms officers. However, I don’t have much sympathy for them if they are found guilty of wrongdoing. I do not want reductions in stringency and complacency to kick in. The situation in the USA has been bad for decades, I am proud of how we don’t have a policing culture like that. Let’s keep it that way.
Also, with everything going on with The Met I do not think it’s wise to strain community relations further.

One positive thing I will say about yesterday’s development is that so many came out in support of the banned fans that it shows hope for unity. Fans who dislike Bru putting that aside to call it out. One fan, who had been recently abusing Hilton critics, calling them scum and all sorts apologised to those he abused more than once.

I believe the comment containing anything regarding his daughter (I believe it was copied and pasted from elsewhere) was deleted quickly. I saw the thread in which it was contained and it disappeared by the next time I looked at the site (no more than an hour). Hilton’s claim that the site tolerated that message is nonsense.

The football club gets dragged lower and loweras time passeswhy have the last two owners tried so hard to make sure that there is no possible way that it can survive???.
The town and supporters and other members of North Lincolnshire should have run these two evil people out of the area, sadly this could be seen coming for the past six months, how does one guy run up debts of £12 million and award the clubs assetys to his company and get awway with it????????
Secondly how the hell does a guy purchase the club for £3 million pounds, and also supposedly have bought two large plotd of land for a supposedly new stadium, and do this when he doesn’t have the money to do so.I really feel sorry for the past and present fans of SUFC and I appreciate that it would be difficult, but wish that the NLCC could do somethig to save our club.
There is no needto issue me with a ban, because while they are conected to our club, I have banned myself.
Hilton hasn’t spent £3 million in buying the club. The real sum is a lot lower than that. We’re talking Cadbury’s crunchie prices.
Group’s been paused for new comments. I wonder how Dave will do his statements now.

The Lower League Look claiming they have proof. It will be interesting to see what they have.
I don’t think it’s fair to include JustIron with those two. He was always respectful towards critics of Hilton, unlike the other two.

What a joke of an excuse.

Some on The Fishy were supposing that Swann brought him in to ruin the club to make it easier to sell of Glanford Park. However, I think the vitriol and court case is too much for it to be true, since I can’t see them wasting money like that for a sham.
He makes a disgusting comment towards fans, using a horrid slur aimed at intelligence. Yet he doesn’t know the difference between there and they’re. Ironic. Also, assuming it is him, it’s rather stupid to send this out to a fan knowing people can screenshot for posterity.
For what it’s worth, I got told that Hilton had said this to someone a week ago

Nail on the head, CT.
Many on Bru have assumed that DH is playing games over the purchase of GP but seemingly, fewer believe that it could actually be PS.
Good to see so much trust in our former owner.
Well, it seems clear cut. One party must surely be a lot worse than the other – equal blame seems most improbable.Perhaps that speaks volumes about the trustworthiness of Dave.
The man is a disgrace. This is the final straw for me. No return from this, Hilton. You’ve turned us into an embarrassment.
I am pleased many have backed those banned, including those who were more pro-Hilton. Shame on those who have said otherwise, especially Herbert the rat. I don’t think data breaching is respected by the law, and if the law get involved I have no sympathy.
We have Matt Blanchard, Ellis, Dave Green and one other fan (who hasn’t gone public, wants it private, but has told me elsewhere) banned for airing an opinion. Truly pathetic.

Your owner has said “the club can die for all I care”
FYI #Iron.
He’s going to kill your club through choice. The fans who questioned him aren’t club killers, he is.

From Hilton’s phone, allegedly, during a text to a fan. Number corroborated to be Hilton from several people.
He is just had his phone thrown away by the village idiot. He is going to be rather wound up. Still, at least they’re getting the division in the fanbase that they evidently crave.
What we need now is a reply now from Swann regarding these latest posts from Hilton. I definitely don’t trust Hilton whatsoever. Surely Swann won’t want to be known as the past Chairman who destroyed SUFC and broke the hearts of our very loyal supporters.
I can’t see many people trusting Swann’s response, and I think the ship has sailed in Swann escaping blame in our plight. The question is how much will blame will Hilton take too?

I used my ticket to get into the ground.
I can’t feel too sorry for Hilton and the ‘horrendous abuse’ he has to deal with (much of which is strongly worded criticism), while he continues to demonstrate he doesn’t give a damn about others, as evident by his attacks against those who dare to criticise him or ask for the money that they are owed.
Bored of the emotional manipulation now. Everything he says is about how hard done by he is, while trying to explain away concerning aspects. It’s all designed to make people feel bad for him and feel bad that people dare to hold him to account. From day one he has not been professional, and after much gaslighting nonsense he is reaping the division that was inevitable. I have not seen him ever take responsibility or make an apology for anything without finger wagging at others.
DeereyMe is right in that getting so irritated by this is futile. All I can do is just feel sorrow that him, and the previous idiot have ruined what was a good club.

If none of what Herbert is saying is true, then he’s doing far more damage to Hilton than any critics. He is claiming to be best buds, having 1 hour chats with Hilton regularly and making it sound like the information he is telling comes from the top.
I think Daz has the nail hit on the head regarding it being Hilton admitting defeat on the legal battle if this comes to pass.
Zakarin has been commenting on the Iron since the troubles under Swann. He is That Crazy New Yorker on here.

I get that the cultural landscape is towards a more liberal slant, which is what people complaining about a liberal elite are getting at. However, it’s too overarching, dismissive of anyone with more liberal views, who clearly aren’t an elite and gives people who are clearly part of a more privileged background an opportunity to chance themselves as some salt of the Earth common man. Which is just silly.
The funniest thing I am seeing from some is that he rattled the ‘elite’, as if Murdoch (of all people) isn’t the elite.
I think that’s a fair assessment, Apollo. If this had happened at the start, I’d say there may be disappointment, but more understanding from more people. As it was we heard all these grand plans of a new stadium, how he had the money to buy Glanford Park and has funded what must be a well paid squad for this level. People raising eyebrows were dismissed as anti-Hilton when raising these points and told to shut up or that they wanted the club dead. Now it feels like a huge let down and loss of trust, given the previous claims and attacks on anyone suspicious, to be told it needs to be cut back severely. I know he said that before, but it was during actions which belied that (assembling a costly squad, promising a new stadium and training ground).
These cut backs may be necessary, and the start of this does start from Swann, but the way Hilton has managed our expectations and off-field matters has been incredibly poor.

Hopefully, as this picks up steam it gets more coverage. Ukraine became big news, but before the invasion it wasn’t being covered by the press, despite experts saying a huge invasion force was massing for many weeks and months.
Rohingya in Myanmar too.
I agree. Solidarity to Armenians.

Apollo seems a lot more eloquent than IE and more prone to actual discussion. I doubt it’s IE’s new account
