Some spoke as if it didn’t matter and it was a foregone conclusion from before game one. Of course it’s only been a recent revival of form, and Butler needs to continue the improvement, but it never was beyond repair.

All of it could have been avoided if Stuart just let it go after Matt Ellis’s tweet was deleted and he got a private apology. Now it’s dragged on, making him look bad and caused other issues to come to the forefront as people got fed up about his self-righteousness and grandstanding after he has previous for insulting others.
I see he has taken his video calling others parasites down, but it’s a bit cowardly now. If I was Stuart I would say that he said some silly and insulting things previously, which he is sorry for, and accepts that Matt Ellis made a mistake and that he shouldn’t do it again. Less of this “me, me, me” attitude where he seems to act as if he is the centre of it all.

Players in the right positions at this level makes all the difference. Hopefully it continues and Butler has learned. That’s all I want. No point hounding, insulting him and giving up hope when him succeeding is in our best interests.

I understand the club wanting to thank Maw for his efforts because Maw has fundraised and I am sure he means well. However, I am not keen on him getting involved with the club with this attitude.
Matt’s tweet was wrong, but it was deleted after a day and the only person talking about that now is Stuart himself. No real damage was done, since no-one had their opinions swayed by Matt, and no-one else cares now. He should draw a line in the sand and get over it. Focus on what matters, not his personal gripes.
If he is to be involved with a supporter’s group, the club need to lay down some ground rules for him to stop trouble being caused. His attitude towards the Trust is divisive and creates an image where he sees himself as the representative of all fans and is thin skinned to any criticism, which is not a good trait for someone leading a group. That’s how it can lead to people not speaking out to wrong decisions. Frankly, I don’t see why his efforts couldn’t have been done in coordination with the Trust, which is more transparent and democratic in my opinion. Though, that wouldn’t mean Maw having his name in lights.

I have said before that concerns over costs of living, immigration and worries over feeling safe in cities due to crime are reasons why people voted Trump. For Dems, this would have to be addressed, but it doesn’t mean I think their decision is correct. That is what I mean by misguided. I don’t think it’s patronising to think that a decision others made is wrong, but it may be if you start casting judgement on their character without evidence. Saying a decision is misguided doesn’t do that. I don’t know how this could be articulated any other way really, since any connotation that you disagree with others offends some.
I will also add that some people might think that those who voted Labour in the summer were misguided; that is their opinion. As is mine that voting Trump was. It’s nothing malicious, it’s trying to be charitable because, in life, people will disagree with you and think your choices are poor. I am saying that I disagree but think that some may have made a poor judgement without saying it’s because of laziness or stupidity, necessasarily. Though, some people may be, but it’s not for me to judge without evidence and nor is laziness or stupidity constrained to just one party.
