Maybe to do with one of the company Directors having a Richmond address on Companies House. Maybe threw in his local club and it’s maybe one of those other clubs ‘in discussion with’?

Bloke’s deluded. ‘Sleeping giant’ my backside. Clearly no idea.

Which ‘founders’ did he dig up to have a chat with?

    Good evening Dragons
We’re looking for 40,000 gullible subscribers to enroll for the miserly sum of just £5 a month.
We don’t own a club, we don’t have any shares in a club, we don’t even understand the operational complexities of the running of a football club and it’s coexistence in the local community.
Our plan is unique and the very fact that we aren’t connected to any club will allow us to move swiftly and acquire the 50% +1 shareholding once we’ve milked sufficient funds from the marks.
How much capital will we require, which club will it be, when will the accusation take place… all in good time Dragons; all in good time.
Liquidity, fluidity & dynamicity are the key ingredients to our scheme – not nuts & bolts, bricks & mortar.
We’re looking for 2 Dragons to come in as Super Subscribers – we’re looking for a million pound per Dragon for 10% (each) of our ‘business’.
I’ll remind you Dragons, that there are eight billion punters on planet earth – shoot for the stars, buckle up and prepare for the flight of your life!

    Ts & Cs apply.
Rodney has these available for anyone who may be interested in the (lack of) detail.
    Become a TIT, subscribe today!

“I think that went cushty Rodney, eh?”

    “Yeah Del, cushty; triffic!”

One of the problems is that there is very little football knowledge / experience in fortress Glanford these days.
There’s a lad who lives local who’s been around, played for and managed a few big clubs. Maybe a seat on the board for him?

Board could select a weaker unbalanced team for the manager to play. They could also select a less favourable formation.

Do you seriously think the Board have that sort of input? Do you seriously think someone with Butler’s integrity would suffer this, mortgage to pay or no mortgage to pay?

Wasn’t Swann a great ‘influencer’ of his managers during his tenure?

Thats a proper scam .. 49 quid to be entitled to buy a share of a club ..not actually getting anything

Access to the App for their £49.

You can actually purchase a share (1:2000 ish) in a racehorse for that.
You don’t ‘own’ the horse or have any input in to it… but it’s a bit of interest and something to follow.
You also get a divvy of any winnings.
Broodmares – you get a return on any of the bloodline. A better ‘return’ than horses that are actually racing.
It’s more small time sponsorship with a bit of a return… hopefully.

Have the club formally announced its for sale?
If the present incumbents can’t sustain the life support machine for much longer then would it be better to formally announce that it is for sale?
Apologies for any oversight if they have done this already.

Remember the 82 WC – the result benefited both teams.

The game was ‘played’ at walking pace after the Germans scored.
From the 1986 WC, the final round of games in each group kicked off on the same day and at the same time.

Board could select a weaker unbalanced team for the manager to play. They could also select a less favourable formation.
The physio could be pressured in to declaring a key player unfit / injured… someone like Whitehall.
If you’ve got a mortgage and need the income from your job – do you resign and walk away or continue to pick up the money?
What if the Board informed the players that the club could possibly go bust if it’s promoted due to the increased financial costs and that they’d be ok at the level it’s currently at.
There’s also the make life difficult approach – we’ve all worked for people like that.
Not saying it will happen but we’d probably never know. Just like we don’t know half of the stuff that goes on in the Palace of Westminster.

Will ‘we’ (the club) throw promotion. This league is cheaper to operate in than the one above?
    Gates wouldn’t be much higher.
Manager would want more & better players.
    Players would want more money.
    Cheaper to throw it!

He may well be justified in feeling snubbed / professionally overlooked, but he’s not doing himself too many PR favours with profane outbursts directly at Director Sharp and CEO Roberts on X (Twitter) – in my opinion.

Regardless, it leaves the Club in a panic situation for this coming Saturday’s catering points. Maybe the vans and stalls again?

    Sorry… ah, on X

Does Goat really have the capacity and experience to cope, and adequately service that number?

He himself has admitted in a thread on Facebook that the ground doesn’t have the catering point facilities to cope with that number of supporters.

Yes but he could have put his vans there

    Of course, yes.

But would he have stumped up the additional catering pitch rental revenue that yesterday generated? Also, was yesterday’s circus part of the Zanetti deal and therefore down to him?

Whichever way, lack of professional courtesy shown to the Goat. However, rumours have long circulated about his own lack of professional conduct – though they refer to things during the Hilton era, when anything was on the table. Or chopped out in lines on the table.

    Lines of dominoes or coke?

Richard Kane was invited Saturday as guest of the board, could have been him?
Seen it on his personal Facebook page, ex trinity chairman knows naff all about football and left them in a bad state while portraying himself as some saviour to gullible fans.
Has recently come into a lot of money after selling his business however

Resigned 1st Nov 2022 from Stallard Kane

A slimmer version of Swann? Another who wanted to be a player?

    IMG-7899

Will he treat himself to an early 58th birthday (April) present?

The Ardonagh Group purchased SK in Nov 2022.

The Ardonagh Group was valued at $14bn in Dec 2024. Pity it’s not they who are a knocking.

I haven’t found how much the acquisition cost.

So Bradford attracted 4.3% of their cities population whilst 2nd in League 2.

Scunthorpe attracted 10.2% of their towns population. Even the Iron average attendance not counting yesterday beats the Bradford attendance as a percentage of population (4.7%).

Some big gates in L1 & L2 last Saturday.
Perhaps PL games should all take place on Sundays and a game at 7:30pm Friday, Saturday & Monday evening.
It might help out the attendances at L1&2 on an ongoing basis then.

    Squad/staff/office/cost cutting.
Do you really need analysts, S&C coach, more than one physio (medical) at this level.
Do we really need an over paid CEO? Pre Swann, the lad Beeby did the job on a normalised salary.
Close the restaurant if it’s making a loss. On match days order in a couple of platters of sarnies from Greggs for the opposition directors to munch on.
Feeding the players breakfast & lunch would obviously go too… as we’d have no restaurant and no staff. They are big lads and can feed themselves.
What does the weekly wastage amount to?
What is the cost of a seat upgrade on match days – hopefully it covers the paid for bar, stated to be open throughout the match day. Drink & be merry!
A skeleton playing staff. In the 60s & 70s, first division teams had very small first team squads.
Players wages & contracts need reviewing. Insane to be paying the bozo Banjo £1500 plus bonuses a week! I’m sure there are others on similar over inflated wages too.
Has anyone ever looked at outsourcing the washing of match day kit. That’ll save a wage and overtime.
Players will have more than one training kit – make them responsible for washing/cleaning their own kit.
Do all office staff need to be full time; are they all really needed four days & a match day?
Do we really need as many stewards?
Remember the days when stewards were volunteers, happy to just be involved and to watch the game for free.
Free seats & cheap seats – research has proven that it has to have value to be desired / wanted / valued. In charged v free studies, gates have being higher at venues with true pricing.
Staff IT equipment, do staff need the latest all singing all dancing computers? MacRodwell had an iMac as big as his desk… was that necessary at a lower league club. All image and no substance.
Equipment audit – if it’s not used or over duplicated and not on a lease then sell it.
Company cars & fuel cards – both being abused since the invention of… private use & mileage. Get the bus, cycle, motorbike, train, tram or own vehicle.
Something that we probably can’t currently afford but would work out cheaper in the long term is a ‘plastic pitch’. We’d need fewer groundsmen so saving money.
Social Media overkill – is it necessary at our level. Paying someone a good wage to tweet (how do they refer to posting on X now?), text, FB, Instagram, TikTok etc.
Post news, info, match previews & reviews on the OWS. Just because it’s there, doesn’t mean we have to.
I’m sure there are other savings to be made and can be made if we put some thought in to it.
