“lining up internationally-renowned artists alongside homegrown talent, attracting investment, creating new jobs and generating a buzz around the town” – Kenny Baldrick Roberts.

    internationally renowned artists – who?

    attracting investment – where, what?

creating new jobs – doing what?

generating a buzz – as demonstrated by Zanetti.

A ‘statement’ just to let us know he was in the office today. Reactionary!

Beck – I ain’t counting that ‘game’ the other night.
He’s scored one goal since he arrived here.
Don’t delude yourselves with the ‘game’ the other night.
    I pray he’s a non starter tomorrow.

No. Keep him if we don’t go up.
    Give the lad a chance.
He’ll have a full seasons experience to draw upon next season.
If we aren’t promoted next season – then it could be a different outcome for him.

Pretty sure he said on yesterday’s Humberside interview he has had a setback and won’t be in the squad.

Carlton or Beck to start then.

Rose out for another 2 weeks or so. Another start for Kelly at right back I’m guessing.

FFS, he’s not coming back at all is he?!

?Looking like they may have flogged him (provisionally) on the Q.T.?
?With a clause by the buying club excluding him from the remaining games?

Butler said he was 50/50 for Chester, but I’m starting to think it’s all just Propaganda.

One is a share buying plan the other a plan to plug the £65k a month loss.

SUFC for & owned by the fans (ultimate aim)

    Who owns other clubs?

    UNITY
    Strength in numbers.

If the fans own the club, the fans control the club and its destiny.

The Trust should have a single goal – to purchase as many shares as possible.

Subscriptions would be the major method to raise funds.

Fundraising projects / schemes / events would add to this.

A lifetime membership for £10 will not ensure that SUFC is here for the entirety of your life.

The only people who care about SUFC are the fans.

The fans need to own the club.

£100 life membership / signing up fee.

    Subscriptions – monthly DD
    Bronze member = £10 a month
    Silver member = £20 a month
    Gold member = £40 a month
    Platinum member = £100 a month
Rhodium member = subscriber sets their level, starting at £200 a month to whatever they decide upon.

The benifits are the same at whatever level you chose to subscribe at.

The benefit is – that there will be a SUFC in 10 years, 20 years, 50 years, 100 years time!

IRON LEGION – FOR WE ARE MANY!

Pair the Iron Legion idea (trust share purchasing) with this:

    Is the following too simple?
    £65k / 4 = £16.25k a week.

5000 Iron Trust Guardians or Scunthorpe Utd Guardians
    £16.25k / 5000 = £3.25 a week subscription.

Add an extra 25p to the weekly subscription and it generates an additional £65k a year.

That £65k could be used to employ 2 Guardians on the board.
One could be a full time Iron Trust administrator at the ground dealing with all subscriptions & queries.
The other could perhaps do the social media side of the operation and free young James up… or even do some scouting. We’ve loads of people connected to the club with an ‘A’ licence who could do it.
Pay them both £30k, a desk / office at GP and each a Guardians place on the board.
The spare £5k would be for teas/coffees & biccies.

£14 a month subscription ensures you continue to have a club to watch each week.

    Executive Patrons
We may be struggling to find the multi millionaires who could solve our problems.
However, there are still plenty of very rich people out there.

Could we find 50 Executive Patrons who wouldn’t miss or balk at donating £1k a month?
Instal a new Executive Patrons seating area and put them a ‘package’ together.
Some may even just be happy to donate and have their names up in lights, social media, around the stadium, program etc.

    That’d be another £50k a month.

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I’ll have no problem either cos they won’t get a penny from me.

Ever thought of just purchasing more of the club lottery tickets £10 monthly and save the club all the hassle and the cost of setting up another scheme.
There’s really no need for something else.

Some people do a couple of bags of weed a day = £40 (I believe)

    Some people do 8 pints a day = £40

Having either habit would cost you £1,200 a month.

A silver subscription to The Trust at a mere £20 is excellent value IMHumbleO.

I’d sign up at silver. I wouldn’t miss that.

Way off the mark Renes suggestion is virtually a carbon copy of Chester and Darlo’s membership scheme

Is it, I haven’t looked at them

but there they own the whole club one member one vote.

Phoenix club, different starting point to us. But the ultimate goal would be to own the whole club

Just read Renes post again he’s on about monthly ffs.

Chesters £2 a month and you become an owner.
How many members / subscribers / owners do they have?

But with Renes suggestion the owners can walk away at any time.
Honestly do you really want to give the owners money after what they were intending doing. Or letting them buy another Banjo Beck lol.

The subscriptions are used to purchase shares

    Implosion ahead?
These monthly shortfalls of £65k… are they being plugged by donations from the directors or are they loans?
    Sponsors withdrawing.
    Goat gone.
    What next?

    Well, we’ve had FC1000000gate.
What next – Easter bunnies on Jeremy Kyle taking a polygraph, as Hunny Bunny claims that Scunny Bunny isn’t the biological father of her latest batch?

So, are they donations or loans?
I guess no one except those in the know; know?

What has Mr Roberts brought to the table since his arrival then?

    – Stadium weekender/Tom Zanetti
    – FC100000
    – Bad vibes (allegedly)

    Anything else?

We can add two motorbike nights to the list, as a second one has just been announced.

A motorbike night. Hows that work then? People turn up, polish their bikes and ride around the car park?
Is that one of Kenny Baldrick’s ideas?

Let’s say for sake or argument he is paid 50k, as a rule of thumb he should be bringing in 3x salary into the club so would hope to see 150k of extra revenue to the club.

Agreed… 3 times salary is a standard minimum bench mark.

iMacRodwell was on £5k a week.

Kenny Roberts won’t be getting out of bed for £18.64 per hour [based on a 40hr week] / £38,771 per annum after deductions.

Mechanics are working on £60 an hour, plumbers £80 an hour – before deductions.

I’d guess that Kenny ‘Baldrick’ Roberts is going to be on no less than £2k per week or £104,000 pa.

Even then, he’d make more money fixing cars.

There was an ‘ITK’ account on Twitter the other week claiming it’s £50k, part time and hybrid

A part-time, pop in pop out CEO on £50k a year.
    How accommodating of us!
How part time is he? Number of contracted hours?

Get Beeby or Gricey back in… they are both Scunny daft and would do it full time onsite for that sort of salary, probably.

Johnson’s government kept the place open while in administration for a year.
Now it’s time for this government to standup and keep the blast furnaces open so we can keep the last virgin steel maker operational. or go green and let the Chinese and Indians pollute the f out of everything.
I know which stance our government will take! “bye bye blast furnaces”

Wonder what little lord fauntleroy (Dakin) will have to say not much I guess. Just the normal platitudes.
More of a reason for the club to stop trying to squeeze everything they can from their fan base.

Day by day, our country slips further into the abyss!
I read an article early this morning on the plight of the Scunny works.

Electric arc furnace steelmaking – that’ll see the majority of the work force laid off.

    They say it’s losing £700k a day. £5M a week. That’s a lot of money.

When it goes, we’ll have lost our fishing, mining, steel and mill industries – we ain’t got much left of farming either.

    Country is on its arse.

Plenty of hand car washes, Turkish barbers and fast food joints.

    Their record v Iron (@Scunny)

    League:
    P16 W3 D5 L8 Gf11 Ga19 Gd-8

    Cup:
    P1 W0 D0 L1 Gf0 Ga2 Gd-2

The most frequently occurring scores are:
    Iron 1-0… 5 times
    Iron 2-0… 3 times
    1-1… 3 times

Pressures on. A scrappy 1-0 win thanks to that man… CR10

Could be that he has played his last game for us and expectations are being carefully managed.

Maybe a deal done (in principle) already and the ‘new’ club wanting their investment protected?

I can’t see Butler or anyone else at the Club sanctioning this.

Just speculation / hypothesising / guessing.

Maybe they aren’t as bad as their league position would suggest?

    Southport 3-2 Scunny

Marcus Carver joined (Weds 19th March) Northern Premier League – Premier Division side Ashton United on loan until the end of the season.

Danny Lloyd is having a good season for them with a 1:3 goal ratio.

It could be a lot harder game than the bookies are suggesting.

While it’s possible the CEO has made contributions behind the scenes, from what I can observe, there isn’t much in the way of clear evidence to demonstrate substantial value added to the club. If he has had a significant impact, it would be good to see concrete examples of his achievements that justify the role and salary.

Is he still ‘working’ from home some of the time?
What days is he in at GP?
