Almost everyone on here was of the same opinion when Hill was appointed.

That he was the best available manager at the time (let’s leave Adkins out of it!).

The stats since he took over says it all. The malaise at Scunthorpe United runs far, far deeper than the head coach and his team.

I have a plan to build an extension at the back of the house, but I’m not going to get it done by salvaging breeze-blocks from a builder’s skip!

Given what we’ve endured over the past four years we should be the strongest supporters in the land!

Will they have to bring along their own shirt and sew a badge on. Or are we getting a set made up?

If so, will they arrive before the new signings, or after?

If 18 is the minimum then we need at least three multitaskers in the old “utility player” role.

Such players tend not to be teenagers!

Just because you’re only allowed 12 in a match day lineup doesn’t mean you only have a small squad. It’s not necessarily the same 12 week in, week out.

Anyway we can straight away knock Hallam off the list, then as the other injuries pile up we’ll be taking out a loan or two.

22 – two players for each position is a bare minimum.

And let’s not forget, in those good old days you had a thriving reserves league to keep them match fit.

    Done!

Should be interesting, particularly having to predict the likes of Dorking Wanderers v Wealdstone!

Iron nil every week should get us a few points though.

“This announcement is aimed to reduce speculation and provide long term certainty which will help John Sheridan continue to build a competitive squad”.

    All of which we’re lacking!

Perhaps Keith’s plan has not been granted planning permission by the powers that be?

Wouldn’t that have a certain irony!

If we were to get a 20 goals a season man (highly unlikely) he’d probably be played DMF.

I recall our last such player was used as a wide man!

Maidstone and Bromley both have 3G artificial pitches. So we’ll have to train on astroturf at some point.

Funnily enough Harrogate and Sutton both got promoted after playing on 3G. Bromley didn’t do too bad last season either.

Maybe not but a 41% win ratio at Rochdale and 50% win ratio at Tranmere lean towards him having some idea.

But he’s not at Rochdale or Tranmere he’s at Peter Swann’s Scunthorpe United!

    There’s a huge difference.

Just a cut and paste bpg. Others can do the analysis. Man being formed from dust???

But with so much murder and mutilation in its pages don’t you think it may have been written my mortal men with a desire to control women?

Thought this was a retrospective post about Chris going to Gillingham!

How we could do with a figure like him in these dark days.

Anyway back on topic I stumbled across this on that, there t’internet: –

Life begins at birth, with the first breath (Gen 2:7). Foetuses are not persons (Ex 21:22-25). Foetuses should aborted as proof of adultery (Numbers 5:11-31). Life is not sacred (Deuteronomy 28:18-24). God will rip open the pregnant mothers to be (Kings 8:12). Israelite King Menahem ripped open pregnant women (2 Kings 15:16). God will kill unborn foetuses in utero (Hosea 9:10-16). God will dash infants in pieces and rip open pregnant women (Hosea 13:16).

    Weird geezer, that God bloke.

We certainly had a few potential signings bale-out!

The thing about the players UTI99 lists is that they were physically strong at 19/20.

Apart from Gallimore some our teenagers look like they’re in need of feeding up.

The season will be a tough old slog. No place for lightweights.

I’m guessing here of course. But I assume that the discussion group on this thread is made up of middle aged (or older) men. Put your hand up if you’re not in that demographic.

All the women I know in my own family and circle of friends are of the same opinion. How dare a man pass judgment on a woman’s body? They agree fully with the “my body, my choice” mantra.

Siderite is correct, it’s a throwback to a patriarchal society where men feel the need to control women.

Unsurprising then that most religious groups are against it.

The point NI makes about Pro life groups not caring about ongoing welfare is simply wrong.

I was talking about the US. Their attitude on health care, social security, gun laws and the treatment of prisoners would suggest otherwise.
