Is squeezing the last penny out of people the most important thing now?
I found an interesting series of videos on YouTube, about a full restoration of a Ford RS 200.
It soon became noticeable that as I watched more videos, (8 by then), the number of advert breaks rose from two in the first couple, to four then six then eight.
Finally, it became impossible to find the next video after video 10, (there are over forty), and on asking for a list, YouTube presented me with an offer: pay us £12.99 a month, and we’ll let you see it. 😡
And recently, my G-Mail account is threatening suspension of all services, access to all photos etc, unless I pay them £1.69 a month.
Aren’t they rich enough? 😡😡
What do all you Marxists on here make of this greed?April 28, 2026 at 10:13 am #319946You could so easily just be talking about Sufc and their greed.

April 29, 2026 at 5:12 pm #320054You would think in this modern world our shite of a club would have had the Rochdale tickets on sale by now.
They’re f ing useless when it comes to looking after fans interests.April 29, 2026 at 5:52 pm #320057Tickets on sale about 20 hours after we knew they were needed, within 1 working day. They’re not bloody magicians you know. Pleased you were never my boss.

April 29, 2026 at 6:26 pm #320059Now on sale to season ticket holders until midday tomorrow. Six tickets per season ticket holder (if registered on Fanbase). I don’t expect many (if any) to be left for general sale tomorrow afternoon.
April 29, 2026 at 6:30 pm #320061Every other club can manage it quicker, they were told last night what allocation were being given, 9am get em on sale not hard in this modern world. Don’t forget the fiasco last year where they were going on general sale at a certain time but ended up not sticking to their announcement and ended up selling the rest to any one who’d emailed the club. If you remember I offered to get tickets for bruers but they said it was ok they could get them only to be shafted by the club.
Get em now if you want one over half the allocation as gone already, they are allowing you to buy *6*on one season ticket hence why I’ve got mine. One home game all season (last night) and here’s me sorted .
Your bloody right they’re not magicians incompetent maybe more like I’m sure you’ll agree.April 29, 2026 at 6:34 pm #320063Wasn’t it Dale who decided on up to 6 tickets max?
April 29, 2026 at 6:51 pm #320069Yes it was Deerey, and where were our staff asking them to only allow one per season ticket holders,
Ya know like what York did they got Rochdale to allow “York” to sell their tickets so they could sell them to individual season ticket holders.
I know our staff were on a day off.
This modern world hey.
Don’t our club realise there’s phones and the new thing the computer and tinternet.April 29, 2026 at 7:05 pm #320070Not going down well on tuther side, plenty of season ticket holders not got the link 4 just from 1 family alone.
Whoops, dropped the ball again let’s put the blame on Rochdale, its not like our club haven’t got form.
And it’s not like someone on Bru has been saying about the club for a longer time than I can remember.April 29, 2026 at 7:31 pm #320072Let’s not make out it’s an easy situation to resolve. Absolutely fair that one season ticket holder can only buy one ticket.
Of course that means me and my mate who attend home and away games together will not get a seat together. That would upset our most (financially) valued supporters.Allowing ST holders to buy 6 tickets probably veers to far the other way.
Don’t slag off the club unless you’re proposing a fairer way of doing it.
April 29, 2026 at 8:18 pm #320075So easy one season ticket one ticket when limited numbers, not rocket science.
They once got it right for the last cod away game not only one ticket but only one ticket per category of season ticket no buying an adult ticket if you had a senior season ticket.
They even organised a singing section for that game if you remember.
As for sitting together it’s a free for all in non league was at notts county was at Rochdale this season, will be Sunday the singing section will be the nearest to the home seating end and there will be no sitting down.
Get the odd numpty who wants to sit in their allocated seat, but most are politely told where to go.Do you really believe I should have got a ticket when plenty of season ticket holders won’t get one, especially when clubs sell them with the advantage of getting priority tickets for games.
Like I said last night was my first home game of the season.April 30, 2026 at 6:55 am #320091“What do all you Marxists on here make of this greed?”
I can’t speak for any Marxists but can categorically state it’s Capitalism working as it’s designed to. Create a demand then put up the price.
Remember ho we’re told in our services how capitalism will drive down prices due to competition? They put up prices when supply is low and demand is high then put them up again when demand is low as it effects profits. Look at how Phone companies reacted to leaving the protection of the EU we had ,once BT/EE jumped on the roaming bandwagon they nearly all followed suit to screw us over.I am sure the right loved itApril 30, 2026 at 8:00 am #320095Like I said last night was my first home game of the season.
Wow
You have such strong views of everything Iron, live in the town and don’t attend?
Is there a section on this clunky forum where only opinions of people who attend can be read?

You’re not obliged to post on this ‘clunky forum’ that wasn’t coded to your satisfaction many years ago you know. Other platforms are available.
April 30, 2026 at 8:52 am #320104Indeed, and the first post you’ll see is from PD obviously he doesn’t (can’t) have a take on the situation.

That’s EXACTLY what I was trying to find, thankyou.
But YouTube just kept asking for money before it could show it me.April 30, 2026 at 1:18 pm #320136Like I said last night was my first home game of the season.

Where everyone thinks they have a right of entitlement!
May 1, 2026 at 8:57 am #320188Wasn’t it Dale who decided on up to 6 tickets max?
An explanation as to why Rochdale have control over the way we sell our tickets might be appropriate.
May 1, 2026 at 11:04 am #320189Unless I have missed the Club have made no comment about the ticket allocating shambles.
It’s no good them saying they were not involved because they have previously made a statement saying they were in talks with Rochdale and Fanbase.
This is not the way to treat thousands of fans who are Season Ticket Holders and Fans who do not have Season Tickets but just as important to the Club.
It’s too late for Rochdale but at the very least they could and should make a Statement and also a Commitment that nothing like this will happen in the future.
The Fans who they have upset are the same ones they will be coming begging for money again in the future !3 users thanked author for this post.
May 1, 2026 at 11:57 am #320190They think they’re Royalty “never complain never explain” they did ought to tell Butler though.
Their silence on the almighty f up and it was almighty is deafning.
Even Cass finally came back after his support of taking so long till the tickets came out, appears they are magician’s though Cass they let them tickets disappear far quicker than they should have.
May 1, 2026 at 12:32 pm #320191I still think the ticket release was a reasonable timescale. You, of course, would have had the staff working through the night. The terms of the ticket allocation is where I see an issue.
May 1, 2026 at 12:34 pm #320192They’ll just keep quiet and hope it all gets forgotten like everything else has.
They haven’t even said “sorry Rochdale have had one over on us we shouldn’t have trusted them” .May 1, 2026 at 1:40 pm #320193‘The Fans who they have upset are the same ones they will be coming begging for money again in the future !’
There’s the rub.
May 1, 2026 at 2:11 pm #32019620hrs has you say to announce they go on sale at 6pm would hardly constitutes someone working through the night.
What do think the thought processes were that wouldn’t allow an announcement at 9 am, do you think Rochdale offered up something else and that the Scunthorpe officials deliberated but eventually threw out and opted for the 6 tickets option, that being the best offer on the table.May 1, 2026 at 2:35 pm #320198Don’t forget the fiasco last year where they were going on general sale at a certain time but ended up not sticking to their announcement
Maybe they learned from their “mistake” last time?
May 1, 2026 at 4:12 pm #320205But they didn’t my daughter had purchased ours at 5,50pm not the 6 o’clock start time, sister didn’t get her email till 6,15.
Twas a re run of the Hereford fiasco where Stu didn’t get one. It’s not really hard is it, announce a time at dinnertime sending emails out at dinnertime start selling 6 hrs later, giving everyone time to email or ring the club if they hadn’t received said email. Could have gone even further not selling any on the Wednesday just the rules then start selling on the Thursday.
Just give everyone a fair crack of the whip that’s all fans are asking for, I mean it’s not about me I shouldn’t have got a ticket. Of course I’m not going to turn one down given the chance which I did and grasped with both hands.
Having said that last season I was the one on here offering to get bruers tickets when I was a season ticket holder. -
