The sun is shining, the clocks go forward on Saturday night and Spring is in the air.
Time to get out more!

Missed all that while I was in the Exec Lounge supping my free coffee!

Watching a 6’7” guy get out muscled wasn’t great viewing and that bit where he got “pushed” over and lay on the ground holding his head was embarrassing!
We did just fine without a centre forward for 70 minutes.
Does it matter?
If we’re not up for it on Saturday heaven help us.
“Come as you are, as you were
As I want you to be
As a friend, as a friend
As an old enemy”Was Kurt Cobain really Jesus?
Why didn’t he just take a photograph?
Was it because cameras hadn’t been invented in the 2nd century CE?
Win ‘em both and the odds will improve. Win neither and we’re back in the blender!

“We’re doing this for your own good”.
Said Donald Trump to: –
The Ukrainians
The Palestinians
The Greenlanders
The Canadians
The Mexicans
The EU etc etc etc.Bloody hell where’s that thinking coming from that we can afford to rest players! Give your head a wabble.
Better tell AB to give his head a wobble AWG.
That’s exactly what he’s done!
Carlton Uba-Naboo the Shaman!

Call me Bolo, but “I gotta bad feeling ’bout this!”
1-0.
Two late goals against Alfreton today have sent them top!
Going to take some overhauling!
Just noticed their stats: 21 wins, 10 defeats but only 4 draws.
If they finish above us then it’s pretty obvious what the difference is. We seem to have settled for too many draws. If there was ever a case for “going for it” Brackley look to be proving it.
Hard to summon up the same enthusiasm when your next game is against Leamington rather than Sheffield United, Sunderland, Blackpool etc as in the not too distant past.

Are you his agent?

What a great week for speaking home truths.
Shame the whole world bar Russia and half of the US disagree with you!
A good wide man can do both, ie put in a telling cross or cut inside.
But we’re in NLN so perhaps we shouldn’t be expecting too much.
Having said that there are PL internationals who find the skill difficult to master (Saka & Grealish eg).
Perhaps it’s down to coaching?
Chester play at Oxford on Tuesday. How they do will be a good indication of just where we are.
On par with Chester, clearly!

New Year’s Day 2005. Iron 0, Darlo 1. Butler red carded.
We finished that season as Champions and I think the only two home games we lost were Darlo and Chester.
We’d lost 0-1 the previous season too when we hung on to our league status by the skin of our teeth.
Deja vu tonight methinks!

i can’t be the only one who thinks that Rose is OK, but nothing special.
Which makes him Roberto Carlos in NL(N)!
Fear not Gurney, as Bill keeps telling us the real threat to the world is from the Marxist Left, not the Fascist Right!

True though isn’t it?
Just been having a mutual “should have, could have” moan with a Mackem mate!
Didn’t Donny tell the good folk of the USA that if they voted for him they wouldn’t ever have to vote again!
Some people must have f-all to do with their lives!
