Kiddy game at ours also moved forward to Friday 30/8/24.

Says 3:00pm kickoff which also sounds a bit strange and would mean Monday and Friday games that week.

Broadband cables and phone masts obviously don’t count otherwise you wouldn’t be able to have your discussion.

Lineker, Barnes, Beardsley, Waddle, Platt, Pearce, Wright, Walker, Campbell, Gascogne, Sheringham, Shearer, Redknapp, McManaman?

Reckon we had comparable talent around then.

When you look back at their records, England managers have been much of a muchness. So maybe our expectations are too high.

Southgate’s win percentage was a tad under 60%. Very similar to the records of Hodgson, Erikson, Hoddle and Greenwood.

I was surprised that the well thought of Sir Bobby Robson and El Tel Venables who both got the team to semifinals scored below 50%. So it would seem that it’s not so much about winning as about performances.

The two managers with Scunny connections were pretty pants. Capello scored highly with 66.7% wins.

Then of course there’s Fat Sam with 100%!

If it’s going to be another English man I’d put a sneaky bet on Lampard.

    Bloody Hell!

    Even Sunderland don’t want Lampard!

I think we can forget the idea of Palace “doing a Leicester”.

Olise gone to Bayern and with Liverpool courting Guehi and Eze rumoured to be keen on a move to Spurs they could be without most of last season’s key performers.

Always been the same. The big boys will flash the cash and heads will be turned.

Pretty much why the top six doesn’t change that often.

Flanks exposed playing three at the back and wingers who aren’t wing-backs.

We may be a National League North club now but that was a Premier League video.

Loved the bit with Lillis “planting” the corner flag!

Great kit too. Back to the early years at GP.

Methinks Warrington is better positioned geographically than we are to have “local” derbies!

Not one to complain but I wish the Official web page would put tonight’s team up.
Anyone know who this Abraham is, full marks though for at least naming the trialists instead of just giving them a number like last season.

The shirts (training kit?) didn’t have numbers on them, so that wouldn’t have worked!

Might as well start off with the toughest game of the season.

    Bit like last year.

    Corbett gone to Aldershot

Thats a real shame was hoping he would return to Scunny… was an attempt made by LT / the club to get him ??

    My guess would be NO.
Corbett is a solid Tesco product. Not quite Waitrose or M&S but might push Tesco finest.
We are shopping at Aldi… in the reduced to clear section.

My friend had a printing business. His company had the contract for the packaging of both Tesco Finest and Aldi Specially Selected.

He told me that there is zero difference in the product apart from the packaging.

Things are not always what they seem!

4 million is a lot of voters.

On this occasion proportional representation would have been a bit of a disaster!

Our constituency, Hexham, has just returned its first ever Labour MP. Had been blue for the past 100 years.

    Marvellous!

The Labour Party will make our lives unbelievably different

    Oh no!

We’ll soon be living in that Totalitarian, Atheist, Socialist State you’ve been warning us about!

Cashless payments, mandatory vaccinations, gender neutral humanoids under the control of alien reptiles from Alpha Centauri.

Arrrrgh! It’s the end of the world!
