Good job we’re in T3. Some of the above would be an embarrassment to the club if they were allowed back in.
Cambridge fans’ jeers for knee protest ’embarrassing’ – Mark Bonner
Batter Colchester get zero points. Dire again tonight three points. Funny old game!
90th minute winner for Iron? Makes a refreshing change!
Uh-oh!
Looks like the dreaded wing-backs!
Either that or Hippo at LB?
Moving it out of the office would be a start!
We must be near the top with training ground injuries!
IITB, you were one of a number of posters who say it should be “All Lives Matter”. I’ll explain why it isn’t.
As in a previous post I’ll refer back to the Suffragette Movement of the early 20th C. Their slogan was “Votes for Women”. It was not “Votes for All”.
Two reasons for this. 1. It was highlighting one particular demographic, the one that was suffering injustice. 2. Men already had the vote. It was about raising the rights of one group so that it was on an equal footing with the others.
We have had 300-400 years of “Only White Lives Matter” or to put it another way “Black Lives Don’t Matter”.
Many white people think that everything is now hunky-dory in our modern, enlightened age, but incidents home and abroad prove that it isn’t. That is why we need to show solidarity.
Never heard of the curse of the managerless club?
I’d argue it’s not working at Man Utd LK. Lot of mumbling and grumbling from fans.
Another one who doesn’t understand what the campaign is about.
No wonder it’s still going on!
Could have done without a midweek game, that’s for sure.
really I just don’t care.
Aye! And there’s the rub!
Too many people “just don’t care”, because they have never suffered the same injustice.
It’s still happening, and it’s happening closer to Scunthorpe than you think.
If Eisa & McAttee are wanting a big money move, then they’re going the wrong way about showcasing their skills.
I’ve never seen a player who runs hot and cold as much as Eisa. He makes Hakeeb look like Mr Consistency!
Jarvis does look no better than National League standard but I think there’s a player in Devarn Green, but he needs a run of games in the same position.
Too many other unknown quantities also. Hippolyte, Mooney, Dunwald-Turan (I’d even add Taylor to that).
Catch-22. When Cox can field his best players we look okay. But through no fault of his own he can’t and the second string don’t look good enough.
Bartonscorpion, it’s a good job no one is rating you on English and Maths. Otherwise it would be an F.
Cox is without Van Veen, Olomola, McGahey, Clarke and Brown. Do you think the XI he put out were the best available? Yes or no.
Today’s side showed two enforced changes from the one who beat Orient last Saturday (Rowe & Bedeau) and he reinstated Loft, McAttee & Eisa.
Or should he have kept the same forwards as Tuesday?
Do you ever read your posts before hitting “submit”?
Thought not!
Aye, wouldn’t be surprised!
Looks like the best possible lineup given the absence of Clarke and McGahey.
Attack them like we did the other Essex boys is all I ask.
O’Malley needs tying down too, as does Rowe.
Anyone heard any more on Karacan?
Been out today with a couple of mates including Sunderland and Bradford fans.
My Bantam pal wants McCall sacked and Parkinson reappointed. And my Mackem mate was bemoaning the fact that Johnson has done nowt and is no better a replacement.
It’s the old managerial roundabout of course and who’s to say manager x will do better than manager y? That’s why I’m prepared to give Cox more time.
Basically Colchester did to us what we did to Carlisle. You win some if these and you lose some.
This ^^^^^
The fact is that this Cox guy thinks that he knows best.
This “Cox guy” is getting paid to do what he thinks is best.
He has shown that given a fully fit squad he can get us playing decent stuff. Unfortunately, for various reasons he hasn’t been able to do so for any length of time, and the back up players are not doing the business as yet. As MKI states above, many haven’t had the game time to prove themselves. Others have and proved they’re not up to L2 standards.
If Neil keeps us in this division in such bizarre circumstances. He deserves to be in charge for 2021-22.
Another racist.
This stupid, and I mean stupid, tit for tat bickering does nothing to eradicate the ongoing problem of racism.
I refer all of you back to Greylag’s excellent post on the subject.
A pity some on here weren’t born a hundred years earlier.
They could have poured their scorn on the Neo-Marxist actions of the suffragette movement, and said “I’ve never heard a woman asking for the vote!”
I haven’t smoked a cigarette for at least 30 years, but there’s still people dying of lung cancer!
that’s why the problem won’t go away…..I haven’t heard a racial chant at a football ground for at least 30 years
Aye, there’s no racism at football grounds any more!
PSG v Istanbul Basaksehir: Both teams walk off pitch as match temporarily suspended
I think a few of us have alluded to this.
That our second string players are coming up short. I fully understand why Cox put Loft on the bench as he’d run his socks off against Harrogate and Orient. But to change both strikers? Maybe McAttee should have started in place of Taylor.
Any news on McGahey? Don’t want him out for any length of time.
Will be interesting to see how Green plays.
Taylor & Jarvis looks weaker than Loft & McAttee. With five subs available Cox has plenty of options.
And that’s why it won’t go away anytime soon. Because of tit-for-tat whataboutery like this.
I sometimes wonder what century we’re supposed to be living in.
Millwall players are not going to take the knee tonight…
… instead they will link arms.
Conveniently forgot that bit did we?
The profoundly politicised ‘knee’? – I’ll turn my back
Got your number then!
I never see racism taking place at football games or Formula One meetings, so what actually wants changing???
Hand sanitiser, face mask and blinkers then, eh?
As I keep saying, some of you just don’t get it. Or refuse to.
It’s not just about abuse and discrimination in sport. It’s about injustice EVERYWHERE. How can people who work in manufacturing, service industries or the armed services make a gesture?
Sports men and women are taking the knee on behalf of all. That is because their actions are visible. If the staff of M&S took the knee every day before opening the store, who would see it?Some of you need to give your heads a wobble and wake up to what’s happening outside your comfort zone.
On the other hand we won’t be losing Myles Hippolyte to Real Madrid!
