Awaywego does his best to encourage women to attend Deery.
Is Northolme up to National League standard?
Not been since I last played there nearly 40 years ago.
Would be quite ironic for the club he tried to feck up and the club where he succeeded to feck up to do a ground share.
Bit harsh on Bernard. He was a sexist, racist bigot but very occasionally he was funny.
Not much point playing Hackney, Matheson, Sinclair, Burns or Pyke from here on in.
Or Delaney unless Keith is planning to give him a deal for next season.
If Watson is going probably time to have a look at Collins.
Let’s see what Wilson and Poulter can do up front. Can’t be any less of a goal threat than anything else we have seen this season.

Thanks for that update Mick. I think we all need to be realistic and allow Lee Turnbull to draw at least a dotted line under how we got here. We will only get a solid line when the club has different ownership but he cannot do anything about that.
Given the current owners track record of getting deals done holding our breath on that is probably not a good idea.
It’s a long and difficult road back to credibility for this football club and team. Hopefully Lee has got a map which is something that has sadly been missing for the last four years.
I was so embarrassed by our first half capitulation on Friday I decided not to attend any more matches until new owners were in place. On reflection I refuse to give up on my club becauseof the stupidity of one man who doesn’t give a shit and will be there against Stevenage and Hartlepool. Might even go to Bradford. I will embrace the inevitable defeats, cheer the young lads on and see it as the start of a long and painful climb.
This is rock bottom (he says hopefully),

Would need someone with a lot of time on their hands to put that together.

If you are going to play kids at least play them in their usual position.
It’s reasonable to expect a seasoned professional (if only we had any) to be able to play multiple positions but not teenage debutants.
At least he didn’t make promises he won’t keep.
We’ve had 9 years of that and look where it got us.

Disagree slightly NI. I think it’s been in the making since March 2018 when mein fuhrer decided he knew about football.
Sacked Alexander, told Bish and Murphy they weren’t worth a new contract and invented the recruitment committee. Picked managers on their ability to say yes sir.
Direcion of travel has been rapidly downhill ever since.

It’s been tough for the youngsters coming into a difficult situation and a very poor side.
Moore-Billam, Gallimore, Lewis and Cribb have have shown enough that they can make it in professional football so we should keep them. Shrimpton, Wilson, Young and Collins have not yet had the opportunity to show that they are good enough but wouldn’t write them off.
Jessop has had a few opportunities but never looked like taking them. Poulter scores goals at youth level but neither Cox or Hill seem to think that’s important so not had a first team chance.
I would keep Rowe and O’Malley who are still youngsters but in this squad are relatively experienced.
Leaves us the “experienced” players.
Watson and the club need one of these new no blame divorces. It just hasn’t worked for either. Millen had had a difficult time with injuries but not good enough to keep. Taft thanks but no thanks. Grant – good player but the legs may have gone. Feeney I would probably keep. Always been a good footballer and will do things in a decent team. Beestin again would probably keep. Was one of our better players last season and long Covid has obviously held him back this year
Nuttall has had his chances and not taken them. If your manager picks Pyke ahead of you then you are probably not good enough.
Bunn, Jarvis, Hallam and KDT have not managed to convince Hill or Cox so off you trot.
In summary then we are a dozen decent players short of achieving a National League mid table finish.
Good thing our new head honcho made his reputation finding good footballers on the cheap.
Busy few weeks Lee.

What we need now is the dream consortium to step in.
It would consist of Simon Elliot and Nigel Adkins.
Oh and of course some silly biggar with loadsa money and very little sense.
It sounded like a pre prepared script by Mike and well done to him for saying it.
The best bit was he immediately asked Max Bell to comment and for once the super shy Max was speechless.
Will you all just feck off with your political bollocks. Depressing enough that it’s a match day tomorrow.

Nor the head of recruitment. I bet Turnbull would love to hand him his P45.
Trouble is he would get one of his own shortly afterwards.
Surprised they paid that much without the ground. Although of course they are a League club.
Suspect they may have a ground purchase option and of course building land in Crawley is a bit pricier than round here.
I am no property developer but I suspect there are not many towns in England with a lower price for building land than Scunthorpe.

Even with the soon to expire planning permission on the apartments I doubt the club and ground would be valued at even half the suggested £10m.
Except perhaps by the landlord.
Would be nice to be on the verge after four years in the gutter.
Maybe one day we’ll make it as far as the road to recovery.

Manny was Daggers MOM in his first start and made the Vanarama team of the week on his second.
Both clean sheets as well.
Strange how players can shine away from the Sunken Sands.
Shame he didn’t leave the decisions to the cut out version.

Taft has been poor ever since we gave him a deal after an impressive loan spell. It speaks volumes that a teenage midfield player is keeping him out of the team.
Gallimore and/or Rowe can carry on for me. At least they might be here next season and both show some desire.
O’Malley is better than Thompson for me. Neither are yet great defensively but O’Malley offers more going forward and seems to be the only player at the club able to deliver a decent dead ball.
Have been supportive of Watson this season and he has definitely improved but agree a change would probably benefit both parties. His time at the club has coincided with 4 seasons of having a very poor team in front of him so there is now a lot of negative baggage.

Would not be so much of an issue if this was just one random poor season. We have been utterly shite now for the last four of them.

Peter Kay?

I think the front door is ripped off it’s hinges Les.
Only 3 things brought a smile to my face on another sad day at the Sunken Sands.
Moore-Billam taking the ball forward and trying to make something happen – well done young man. Looks like there is a footballer in there.
The tennis balls – well done the Donny Road end for doing something that required a bit of planning and effort.
The time it took to repair the goal net. “You don’t know what you’re doing” sang the Mansfield fans. There are quite a few at the Sunken Sands that applies to. The main one being our absentee landlord.
I think you are well aware any and all protests are aimed at the current owner.
Don’t see why it would bother a potential new owner. Might distract them from noticing how bad the team is that they will inherit should they go ahead.

I stand corrected.
You can’t give a stand to the away team that includes hundreds of season ticket places you dickhead.
Shouldn’t be a problem next season though.

Something we may have to get used to. Some well supported teams in that there National League.
At least the possibility of a couple of protests gives us something to look forward to on a match day for a change.
