If you don’t get a positive response it can cost you your job. Ask tangoman.
From now on they will only Singh when they’re winning.

Shame it wasn’t even vaguely funny Bill.
Isn’t Rory carrying a thigh injury?
He was but I heard he dropped it.

Credit to Butler. After 5 or 6 seasons of rolling over for physical teams like Tamworth and Woking we respond to the challenge and earn the right to play our football.

Fortunately he scored instead.
Second Saturday running.

4250 with 99 cards
Visually appears a massive improvement on last year but it did cut up rather dramatically right wing attacking away end.
Also had a problem with a loose drain or sprinkler cover just off the pitch which took our esteemed chairwoman and half a dozen others a while to resolve at half time. Fairly entertaining.
900 and something – can’t remember the exact number.
Decent attendance for this most mickey mouse of cups.
Some decent football as well. From us for 40 minutes and then from Sunderland.
On that showing hope we don’t need to call on Chadwick, Dawson or Eze in midfield too often.
Apart from Campbell, Saturdays starters lasted 17 minutes.
The rule is a bit of a farce then.

For anyone who wasn’t at the the game he flapped at a couple 1st half but went on to play OK.
I am delighted about that and hope he succeeds but he was a long way short of being the man of the match.
As for delivering the best goalkeeping performance in the league I’m not sure he had the best goalkeeping performance in the Tamworth game.

Quite an achievement for a club struggling to get 2,000 morons through the turnstiles for a league 2 game in the last knocking of the Swann dynasty.

Little wonder some folks go the dodgy box route.
Best referee for one of our games for quite some time.

Just got back and have to say well done Andy Butler.
I was convinced he would go 5 at the back and try to nil his way to a point.
Brave set up to match them and it paid dividend. Fitter, stronger and harder working than the lambs.
Well deserved 3 points and a better away performance than we managed in about 20 of last seasons away games.

An almost Trumpesque ramble.
It could be a Butler masterstroke giving Roberts the vice captaincy.
Unless Frenchy Jean is a dog then Boycie is not going to start too often once Butler ditches the 5 at the back – hopefully a lot earlier than last season.
It’s not uncommon for the most talented footballer of a group to get frustrated with “lesser mortals”. Club vice captaincy which may well morph into team captaincy will surely encourage CR10 to be a bit more supportive of his team mates.
He is confident, positive in his play and he turns up every week. If he can inspire more of these things in the rest of the squad everyone wins.
If he picked your side and formation Rene your scoreline would be a possibility.
5 at the back and “nullifying their strengths” makes 1-0 to the Lambs rather more likely.

No problem with the price rise. I think they should have put up season ticket prices as well.
However, a double digit percentage rise in prices without even announcing it is beyond stupidity.
The words speak of the importance of the fanbase. The actions scream the opposite.
Roberts moans non stop at his team mates throughout the game.
This probably means they have all learnt to ignore what he says.
They can get a card same as usual. Has to be a new one – can’t have the existing one updated like last season.
That’s because of change of National League sponsor – nothing to do with fanbase.

Was there not something on the OWS inviting fans to apply about 6 months ago?
It did not specify any selection criteria if memory serves.
The club can claim the opportunity was there for everyone and I’m sure they will as soon as the criticism starts.
That same guy that picked Fitzsimons, Clunan and Whitehall every single game they were fit for.
Even though they were sh1te apparently.
We have many OK players and not many really good ones.
Pick any 11 and play them against the other 11 and it would be tight.
Whichever 11 gets Roberts would likely win it.
Rosie missing as well as Eze.
I don’t think Butlers 23 included Barrows.
Suspect the 3 still involved yesterday had a gentleman’s agreement to do a complete full time preseason.
I am sure they will have known for 2 or 3 weeks they weren’t getting a contract here. They may even have deals with part time sides already but the preseason work will help them get off to a good start wherever they end up.
Meanwhile it has allowed Butler to have 11 a side practice sessions.

No matter how many centre backs you start with Mick.
Campbell did make one very good save to be fair.
Assuming it was practice for 5 at the back at Tamworth next week but meant we just about controlled the first half without creating anything that didn’t involve Roberts being Roberts.
You were right about Rose Lesgeo – seems he went back to Peterborough as a handy looking right back but has returned as a centre back of 3 fighting over 1 forward.
Second half of Butler substitution bingo meant we looked even less organised or interested.
Pretty poor Worksop side (according to their supporters I was chatting to) had the better second half chances and probably should have nicked it.
