Given York City have a decent chance of entering the National League from the positive end I suspect they have a better team than we do.
I have been through my now usual end of season deliberation.
Do I continue to go and watch the shite on offer and continue to fund the cause of the problem versus letting the cause of the problem stop me supporting my club?
Neither are great options but same as the previous 2 seasons I have gone and paid my £190.

I think I would settle for not having an even worse team than the season before.
It’s something we have not managed to achieve for 5 years but the bar is about as low as it could possibly get for a supposed professional football team so we might just achieve it.
I appreciate Turnbull and Hill’s hands are tied with regards to binning Cygnet but surely they don’t have to listen to him anymore.
You could stay at your mates hotel Awaywego.
If he ever finishes it of course.
Forgot to add Deery he was probably one of the few Swann era players we made a profit on. We certainly got value for money from him and you can’t say that about many.

Great player. Always played full on with positive intent and kept going even when things were not working for him.
No surprise he has continued to do well.

Looks like a team capable of lower mid table National League North.

I Googled it earlier to make sure my memory was not playing tricks with and by sad coincidence the guy who started the pie company passed away a few days ago. It was certainly the best pie I have ever had at a football match by some margin.
Is it Kiddeminster that do the fabulous pies or am I mixing them up with some other team from that neck of the woods

Not sure I follow your logic Awaywego.
Train journey to Chorley and back in excess of 6 hours. York and back about 2.5 hours. Chorley ticket about twice the price.
Use the savings to get a taxi via the pub or do you just like trains?

It’s all we are saying.

Bit harsh on Micky IA.

On current evidence we have no National League level forwards. Cameron Wilson is the nearest we have and we should be planning to get no more than 10 games and 10 sub appearences out of him.
Hallam plays about 3 games a season (based on quite a bit of evidence) and Nuttall has not played any yet. O’Neill has a level of pace I can match in my sixties with a dodgy knee. Bunn will surely get offered more than tuppence a week somewhere else.
I think we need 4 forwards on that basis. Even if Nuttall comes good (and I’m not totally writing him off yet) we still need 3.

Or if he had a last chance no wonder the lad was nervous. Strange decision either way.

Always a sad part of this day is young players that have been with the club half their lives having to move on.
Keep the faith lads and go again. 2 or 3 will turn up at Glanford Park in a few years scoring goals or making saves. Hopefully in the football league.

Read the article in the Guardian again and it says Northampton plan to raise a complaint. Apologies, Mrs MK calls that a “man look”.

Well done to all 3. Once again I did a fair imitation of my favourite teams performance level.
An astute businessman wouldn’t do that.

Time for Lee Turnbull to do a bit of multi tasking and pull 6 or 8 decent players out of the hat.

I don’t rate him and he has been our best attacking threat this season.

On a positive note most players and managers that leave the Iron do better elsewhere.

Only real surprise is Pugh who did well enough for me in a poor side.
Plenty of dead weight still hanging around. Taft, Perry, O’Neill and Hallam all unlikely to get much game time. Can they be encouraged out by payment of 50% of their contracts?

I see Northampton have lodged a complaint with the EFL and the FA.
If the Cobblers want to know why they didn’t get promoted they should look to their away match at Scunthorpe.
The only half decent side in the division who looked as if they thought they only had to turn up to get the 3 points.
Consequently they dropped 2 points. The rest of the top 7 got their regulation 6 points from us.

See where your heading Cass.
Worth shipping 7 to get an extra £10k?

Totally agree Cass.
So who are these players that set the terrible culture?
We can probably let KDT off the hook because he only appears twice a year.
We can ignore Hallam unless he spreads negativity from the physios table.
Am assuming the youngsters are exempt.
Leaves us with Taft, Millen, Perry and Jarvis unless I have forgotten someone. To be fair we have had a lot of forgettable players these last 4 years.
As for responsibility for the culture – if it’s not the manager or the owners fault the who the feck is responsible?

Watson
Rowe
Delaney
Young
O’Malley
Feeney
Grant
Beeston
Hackney
Bunn
NuttallThat team still probably gets beaten at Bristol today but they would not have embarrassed the club or scarred a bunch of teenagers trying to make their way in the game.
I really feel for the likes of Lobley and Foster. In my opinion Hill has put the juniors out to protect his own reputation and shows no respect for the youngsters, for Northampton, for the integrity of the game or for Scunthorpe United.
Supported him fully since he got here but he should be at the Job Centre on Monday.

I don’t do religion but thank the lord that shit show of a season is over.
Unfortunately the shit show has been going on for four years.
Only one man to blame but I think we should clear out the lot including Hill, McMahon and Muzzy.
Get Crozzer in and start from scratch.

Not sure it’s doing much for the kids either Mick.
Just protects Hill from criticism of the shite he brought in to the club in January.
