Most of us are expecting to only spend one season in the National League.

Is the fire still alight?
I think the reason he does it is measured in dirham.
£5m to £7m overvaluation if ground is not included.
Only £3m overvalued if ground and all land included. Net of all outstanding debt cleared of course.
The problem is the owner will take some time to realise property and businesses are worth what a buyer is willing to pay. The sellers valuation is immaterial.

We signed 7 or 8 last summer and look how that worked out.
It’s not how many you sign or the date that you sign them. The clue is in the name. When you sign footballers it’s best to check if they can actually play football.

I think Lesgeo was hoping to have some players in for the start of pre-season. Based on the last 3 or so years very optimistic. The owner was at least pretending to be interested then.
But is his old man still getting the club to pay his pocket money?
That’s every player we signed last summer has now gone!
Chief scout’s still here though.

You forgot young Master Cribb.
That’s the back ups sorted out. When do we start signing the first team?

Saying Foster has league experience is pushing it a bit.
Had one decent game and is probably still having nightmares about the other one.
Remember having a summer job a Brumptoms when I was 14 or 15. One day the supervisor gave a bollocking to the forklift driver. He was about 18 or 19 and fancied himself as a bit of hard man.
Ten minutes later there was a pallet full of Export Shandy on the roof of the supervisors Morris Marina which was about a foot nearer the ground.
Happy days.

Seems the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
Would be happy to have any 2 from Moore-Billam, Gallimore, Cribb or Shrimpton in the side at any one time. If it’s 3 or 4 of them we will have a problem and it’s unfair on the lads themselves.
Wilson probably needs a season as an impact sub. For Young and Foster it’s more difficult, centre backs and keepers need to be exceptional to hack it as teenagers so should be injury back ups at best. Lewis has shown enough to back up O’Malley at left back/left wing back.
“we don’t want him hes got a pony tail” response to Fox before he signed for Grimsby however.
Fox was the best player on the pitch in all 3 Cods play off games.
Not a foul never mind a second booking but the ref still had a better game than most of the England players.
Not seen anyone so clueless at his job since that fat bloke took up property development.

and now your gonna believe us…..

Saw all 3 playoff games and a couple of the Cods league games and he was decent to good in all of them. Read somewhere from Cods fans that the final pass/shot is what lets him down and there was evidence of that.
Like many players at this level it is the final piece that stops them being Championship or League 1 players and keeps them at this level.
If we have a sqaud the same calibre as last season he would play every game.
Can’t see us signing de Sousa. Would eat up half the player budget putting hi name on his shirt.
Oont know if the source is credible but at least is gives the boards anti scouse faction something to moan about.
We will get on BT Sport if we manage to be challenging in and around Wrexham, Chesterfield and Notts County.
Not full of optimism on that front.

Love is pushing it a bit but certainly a really good achievement from the new owners, Paul Hurst, the players and the fans who deserve it after a long period of suffering under toxic ownership.
Hopefully we can emulate them once our similar ownership issue is resolved.
Only kidding boys.
I don’t have a view on pundits. I am in the NI camp on this one.
Never start watching “live” tv matches until 15 minutes in so I can skip the 12 minutes of adverts and the 3 minutes of banality. Watch the second half live and switch off as soon as it’s done.
Do us a favour you two and book a room.
Only one thing the person responsible for the clubs situation can do to help the club regain EFL status.
We all know what that is but for the couple of posters that might be struggling with it the second word is off.
No but perhaps if we employed a manager or coach with a track record of developing talent and stuck by them we might get some of our players making it earlier.
Changing coaching staff every 5 minutes certainly doesn’t work and neither does giving already released full backs a debut against promotion contenders.
Having suddenly become interested in the National League about Christmas time when it was obvious we were heading there I have watched a quite few games including 3 or 4 with Solihull involved. Howe has consistently looked a decent player in what is probably the best footballing team in the division. Certainly capable of playing in the EFL and rather better than any of our centre backs last season.
Many young players do not mature and become consistently decent players until at least 23/24 and some even later than that. For every Ryan Yates who could handle it at 19/20 there are many Calum Howe’s and Jack Muldoon’s who need longer to get there.
That is what worries me about our current squad. Most of the lads have shown potential that they may have a professional career but only 2 or 3 of them (if we are lucky) will be ready next season.
Season starts 6th August

I don’t know RB. Without new owners and 8 decent new signings I think there is a good chance we will only spend 1 season in the National League.

Reminds me when my sons where boys when travelling to games we used to come up with a team of the ugliest 11 currently playing. Neville brothers often featured but never nailed on starters like Dowie and Beardsley were.
