because it is 4 months to the next transfer window, and with our track record with injuries they will all get a game.
I was talking to Kenyon at the Man City game and he said his was only a minor injury and would be fit in 2 weeks, regarding Hallam no idea, I hope we have signed 2 Ryan Yates, or I wouldn’t complain if they are 2 Alfie Beestins.

Wood looked decent in the preseason game here, never heard of Hackney but both have had a taste of first team football and both I believe are attack minded which with Jarvis now fit is that the reason we didn’t go for a striker, so with experience at the back and quite a few mobile midfielders it is hopefully we can start winning games and get a mid table finish minimum.
They are doing a podcast tonight.

The club would not allow Neil to say who had got Covid Sanfran, so we are all guessing it must be one of those two with the other in contact.
If you was at the game it looked handball but didn’t look deliberate, but his hand was out so though it was daft I think it was more player error than Kettle, he was following the silly rules, apart from the player having a moan there wasn’t a lot of protest, to make it worse for Tranmere their player wasn’t under a lot of pressure and didn’t need to have his arm out, personally I think it hit him rather than deliberately handle, but we had plenty of dodgy penalties last season go against us so it was nice to get something our way, I am sure it will soon be our turn to have one against us.
anyway how many penalties has Kettle given against us over the years, and a lot of them have been soft.
I was sat in the West Stand and it looked to hit his hand or lower arm and he did stick his arm out, whether it was intentional or not I thought it was harsh but how many soft penalties have been given against us last season, but these are the rules if your arm is in a unnatural position, the Liverpool one on Sunday the same kicked from close range and hit his knee and bounced on to his hand, maybe unnatural position but a natural reaction from James seeing he was trying to clear the ball.
Scrimshaw and Perry have to be the ones involved with the Covid, Turan is a baffler, never trusted or played since the Salford game when he gave the ball away cheaply for their injury time winner, though it was comical play from Clarke and Howard.
regarding rules the club must understand them more than supporters can fathom out.Plus most importantly due to the pandemic no liquid soap in the gents toilets in the main stand.
But they made sure they didn’t get any shots in, yes I do remember when we used to dominate games and possession.
They had more possession but it didn’t seem like it and they never looked like scoring and we could have had 5, unless we were playing in White.
Couldn’t have made many serious saves because they didn’t have a shot on target, but his handling was excellent.
It should have been Taft not Loft the edit not working.
I thought he played well and didn’t let anyone down.

Not far off
Also Bartonscorpian, there were 6 lads making their first ever start in a first team shirt and 3 more had game time so apart from Davis, Onaraise and Hippolyte the only other experienced players were O’Malley and Rowe so seeing Palmer played 21 minutes for City on Saturday against Norwich and I think 2 or 3 others have had first team experience in preseason friendlies they probably had more experience than quite a few of ours, our lads gave a good account of themselves but you could tell a difference, and when an opponent scores a worldy it did deflate the team for a while, and we had a goal disallowed for some reason, but we played quite well second half and they scored late on after young Collins parried the ball out to their player after making a good save, but he played well and made some good saves, Poulter looks impressive and puts himself about and will be one for the future, I think Jessop needs to go out on loan I don’t think he is ready for first team football yet.
It was James Moody and Alex Kenyon in the Radio Humberside Bay doing commentary, Kenyon has a scouse accent so I will let you guess who was doing the main bit because I didn’t hear it, I had a little chat with Alex before the game and he is a real nice bloke to talk to, he said he is nearly fit to play now.
He was also on the pitch last night putting them through their paces before the game.
But when you’re hands are tied the management bear the brunt.1 user thanked author for this post.
August 24, 2021 at 10:30 pm in reply to: Out of the second of three cups in the first round tonight. #212533Cole Palmer who scored the first played 21 minutes for the first team against Norwich on Saturday, I was impressed with their captain who was in central defence and the little number 99 was outstanding.
And yes Northumbiron I did go to the game.

I’ve been to Crewe a few times but can’t remember the fish & chip shop, the last time in one of our promotion years, didn’t there used to be one across the road from Stockport’s years and years ago, but could be wrong.
Or support Rochdale, good fish shop outside the ground.

Humberside commentary was shocking.
Newey was OK, but not the same without Mike White, other bloke was dreadful.I asked Tom Newey where Mike White or Matt Dean was and he said doing Hull City, I didn’t know the other commenter I’ve never seen him before and he was a oldish fellow, listened to Humberside on way home but apart from interviews with Cox, Scrimshaw and McCann it was all Rugby League, though I did have a good chat with Chris Sumpter and it is 18 months since I saw him, also Lee Novak was at the game according to someone near me who had been to the Bar.
You are right but I just said I don’t like it, also I think swapping Jessop for Green weakened us, I have never seen a team get so many injuries as us this last 2 or 3 seasons.

Very disappointed with the second half performance, our goal was the only one we had on target all game and we never troubled the keeper at all apart from the goal and the attack won nothing in the air all game, the new lad played OK but Green and Hippolyte had a couple of good runs then did nothing with it, either wayward pass or tripping over the ball,
I must praise Rory Watson who had a good game and also I am not keen on 3 at the back, and also substituting the left back on 75 minutes every game, also still don’t like Pugh playing right back.
We are the home team and again it wasn’t football to win the missing fans back, it was Knill side passing and Wilcox let’s hang on to what we’ve got style, I know we have a lot of players missing but if we carry on trying to win 1-0 every game it’s going to be very boring.1 user thanked author for this post.
So expecting a blooper today then Les.
hadn’t he been given the number 1 shirt before Bilson came here.
on Humberside it said he would start on the bench, regarding whether O’Neil or even Loft can play with a mask I haven’t heard it mentioned, where was Hippolyte the other night I haven’t heard what was up with him either.
Scrimshaw is on the bench, so possibly no striker in starting lineup at home.
