I know Chris Sumpter and he does it for a Sporting Agency and you see his reports on teletext and papers, so maybe someone who did it for the GT does it for BBC.

Well by the stats we had most of everything apart from goals.

Up the Iron, pity Keith Hill wasn’t here 18 months ago, sorry to say but Neil is a coach but not a manager, just a pity.

Not a bad point, but we now need to turn draws into wins.

I’m more worried about us scoring goals.

to be honest Pat I have enjoyed the Salford, Leyton and Bradford games, and the Donny FA Cup game wasn’t bad, there has been more entertainment in those games than we have seen in the last 2 seasons, at least it is value for money now and the opposition know they have been in a game and a lot has to be said about players ridiculed for being useless before now starting to look like pro footballers.

Hill said a lot of our injuries are caused by players not being fit enough, also Hill is full of praise for Kenyon because he is a leader, and talks to the players organising them.

Really enjoyed our performance today, certainly a lot more energetic and the team is playing for Keith Hill, the wind was a massive problem and I thought a few players who haven’t done much under Neil are starting to impress under Keith, we scored from a good header and it is a pity that effort didn’t go in which hit the bar, also praise for the ref for not buying their efforts for getting a cheap penalty on a couple of occasions.

I was at the game last night Cass and the only people in the press area were Tim Steere, Tom Newey and Chris Sumpter apart from the Leyton Orient reporters, had a quick word with Tom about Mike White who has the Covid and Chris who works for a National reporting company, Charlie Wilson and Paul Crute used to represent SET until they got banned from the press box and then sat elsewhere but now I don’t think the SET are allowed in the ground especially Max Bell who is banned.

I think that Hill will have learnt a lot from yesterday, the effort was there, ability wasn’t, organization wasn’t good, big gaps in defence which gave them a goal and could have given them a few more, we played with Kenyon in front of the center backs when probably you want someone behind, I don’t know whether the gaps between Taft and Manny is because they had been used to playing 3 in central defence, midfield looked lightweight, Pugh and Beestin can play a lot better, and the forward line terrible until Scrimshaw came on.

every time Orient broke forward in the second half they looked like scoring, especially after they brought Smyth on, luckily enough they didn’t have their shooting boots on, our defence were all over the place.
I don’t think any of our players apart from the keeper would get into the Orient team and basically we have a squad of bench warmers or reserves, couldn’t fault the effort but we are lightweight all over the pitch.

I agree with Cliff on this one, it was a point gained against a team that missed some sitters yet our keeper though he played well and was commanding in the air never had a serious shot to save, the chance that hit the post was comedy between our defenders losing the ball after getting each others way, Scrimshaw made a big difference but their players looked stronger than ours and agree with Hill about fitness but our defence gave me the jitters today and I can’t believe we got a draw after being overrun second half.

I was talking to Lee Turnbull at the Donny Cup game, he must be loving this but wouldn’t want the club to drop out the league.

I remember my mother saying that during the winter of 1940/41 everyone thought it was just a matter of time before the Germans landed on our shores.

We’re not done for just yet!

A lot better performance today, draw was a fair result, it was hard to see why the goal was disallowed but manager said it was for Scrimshaw being offside, their penalty claims were close calls but it makes a change decisions going our way for once, Hill sounds a very positive manager so we will see if he delivers what he promises.

Certainly the most improved player, hasn’t made any major errors this season so he deserves his place in the team.
He has always had the ability but used to let himself down with silly errors, just need others to improve their game.

it is funny with our relegation season with defenders, McArdle had a nightmare season but looked good at Exeter, Goode and Burgess had the jitters at times and Charlie did really well at Northampton, Burgess had a good spell at Salford and a tremendous time at Accrington who then sold him for a large fee to Ipswich, very strange in their last season here they all had a lot of bad games.

Just shown on my email, I’m not going, 3 home games in 7 days means 3 lots of petrol and nothing at stake tonight, plus admission prices for last Saturday and today makes it expensive though season ticket for next Saturday, also performances don’t justify the expense.

Their manager reckoned they should have won by 5 or 6 and were far superior in the second half, to be honest I thought they were better than us but only just but we didn’t look like scoring very often but missed one sitter, probably the worst Rovers team I have seen since they went out of the league and nearly went bust, so showed how bad we have become, and I have seen us play a lot worse than yesterday this season, on top of that we scored for them.
