I think it’s clear now just how much influence Cal Roberts had on the field.

This squad this year is basically all Butlers signings right? In the NLN when he took over he had inherited a squad of arguably higher quality. Definitely had a spine to it which we don’t have now! We have a mismatched, unbalanced squad with too many youngsters/loanees.

We lack experience and bite in key areas and we will pay dearly unless it changes.

Unfortunately it feels all to familiar.

He would be a great signing. His distribution is top and experience should help direct the defensive unit in front of him.

Butler wont be going anywhere anytime soon, as others have said i doubt we can afford to get rid. And the thought of JB taking over doesn’t fill me with confidence or optimism. He’s a great player and not long started his coaching so probably too soon for him.

I know it’s still early in the season but this is very worrying. We simply cannot even think about dropping down to NLN again, it would be a disaster. Valid point re the keeper situation. How lucky were we to have the likes of Roberts and Fitzsimons in NLN? Cheat code players for that level and now were a level up we have less quality. Madness.

Maybe if we ask the council nicely they can help facilitate a move to a new modern stadium. They can then redevelop the whole site as well as the car park. Worked well for Hull.

Anyone struggling to get a ticket it’s worth giving them a call or email if you can pop down to the ground. James and Glynn doing late shifts to work through the back log, great work and hopefully not many will miss out. I think they’re allocating tickets in the Mortz corner but not visible online.

He’s obviously just uncomfortable in front of the camera. I’m the same, hate being on camera, having to present things to people and get all twitchy/nervous. I wouldn’t read too much into it really.
