Looks like desperation to me.
September 20, 2026 at 10:28 am #328503I remember not that long ago posters on here saying the owners should stay away from the footballing side and leave it to the coaching staff.
And that we had become a hiring then firing club.
How things change!
September 20, 2026 at 10:44 am #328513No it wasn’t me CMC but I was stood less than 10 foot away from the man.
And yes 64 it was very polite wasn’t it, just goes to show what a nasty person Butler is, the same man who said in his interview don’t abuse my players abuse me or something to that effect, I did however rear up and told Butler he was out of order maybe not as quite politely though.
The old man (certainly older than me) was from the London branch small guy 8st when wet just expressing an opinion nothing more nothing less at any game where you’ll hear hundreds of comments during a game, the man certainly needs an apology, hope Butler has reflected on his actions. Obviously Butler’s feeling the pressure but just can’t handle it.
Gardening leave please at the least Michelle.
I will be emailing the club about his actions, don’t expect a response mind.

September 20, 2026 at 10:50 am #328516Doubt whether any owners were there yesterday to watch that shit show.
The only player coming out with any credit was Campbell with one worldly save. And obviously MoM.

“Product transfers – we’re lopsided and over staffed in certain positions.
Get on the phone, email, text – shift some players on.
Reduce the playing bill and what appears to be ‘dead wood’ in the building.
Reduce the playing staff to 20, 22 max.”If we got rid of the dead wood we’d have nowhere near 20 left.

“Just what happens to our keepers ? Season after season inexperienced ones stay on their line whereas experienced ones control their area.”They’re all coached by the same bloke, he tried to get Matt Gilks to stay on his line.

September 20, 2026 at 10:54 am #328518I think it’s clear now just how much influence Cal Roberts had on the field.
This squad this year is basically all Butlers signings right? In the NLN when he took over he had inherited a squad of arguably higher quality. Definitely had a spine to it which we don’t have now! We have a mismatched, unbalanced squad with too many youngsters/loanees.
We lack experience and bite in key areas and we will pay dearly unless it changes.
Unfortunately it feels all to familiar.

Watching their 26, Rowe, yesterday. Embodied everything we are not doing this season. Pat Jones tried it but kept running in to cul-de-sacs.
Haven’t listened to the ABs post match. Did he really say ‘diamond’? Big Bang more like. Balls being kicked here there and everywhere to infinity.

Duvet is the last of the Dean/Hilton lot? But we retained him which is a waste of a wage
September 20, 2026 at 11:45 am #328540The Dean/Hilton lot, quality.
Something Michelle and Butler should have learnt.September 20, 2026 at 11:47 am #328541Signing players the World and his dog knew we couldn’t afford?
September 20, 2026 at 12:17 pm #328545‘small guy 8st when wet’
7st when dry?
Sounds like a giant toilet roll left out in the rain.

Yep Awaywego conveniently forgets the money angle that nearly finished the club off or says “ so what go bust and start again “, genius economics.
September 20, 2026 at 1:04 pm #328551AI has its faults but lays bare the situation pre Gang of 4 in a click.

So how did their parent clubs afford them on lesser attendances?
September 20, 2026 at 1:20 pm #328554Put a list of all Dean signings up then Alcy, it might take you all day.
