WHAM (White, Hilton, Anderson, Mellors) made a brief reference to the “dossier” – that put meat on the bones and confirmed or at least further heightened our scepticism and suspicions that all was not well.
It looks as if the crisis will deepen.
It looks as if there is only one way out for WHAM.WHAM .. well done AA 9 OUT OF 10 FOR EFFORT AND IMAGINATION ..bet you were up all night thinking that up 555
I do agree this whole clusterfook is gonna get messier for sure .. and if i were abetting man twill end with DH chucking the towel in .. which unless another party comes in sharpish could be catastrophic for the club and town.
I take umbrage at being called vile and it appears Bru needs to be “removed”-how would work then?
While i have had total support for SUFC since 1980 surely i can still have an opinion with regard to recent events that differs from the nauseating fawning over DH on the fans fb group page of which i log in and read but blocked from posting.
FTR .. i support SUFC unreservedly therefore support Hilton and hope he stays on despite his past mistakes.. i do not however feel the need to sing his name , have his face on my shirt or stick my tongue up his arse.

The Buxton fan sites are very active today … all sorts of strange comments strangely none mentioning the severe cramp suffered by subs who had been on the pitch for a sort period of time or their player doing a spot of break dancing to get the pen off Shrimpo… now seen the footage its ajoke call by the linesman.
Even a spirites n cod head getting in the mix slagging off Scunny fans n the ref…
Are we the NLN version of Millwall … nobody likes us n we dont care !!
I didn’t listen to his explanation, because my poor english.
But if I was him I’m definitely stay.
After doing so much for the club, you can’t just leave.
There is no reason to do so.What he has to do next, creating as much income as possible.
If I live in Scunthorpe (now I live in Thailand),
I would support the club every way I can.Agree same here.
Might i ask where in Thailand ? city or rural ? 9understand if its private info) … i have my business head office based in Bkk but travel extensively across all the Isan provinces, my family home is in the North on the Thai Laos border only 50 min flight from Bkk
Sorry to go off topic
Seems the NL panel stuck to the letter of the rules … though i still think a surprising i would of bet not this outcome.
Buxton fans must be spittin feathers
Scunny fans can allow themselves a rye grin ..Let’s look at the facts. This club has again got a team to be proud of. We was hours from folding. To those with negative thoughts I ask you to go away and support another team. We have alot to thank Mr Hilton for. We all have done things which we later regretted.
Stay Mr Hilton and see this through , dont let the shit supporters ( if genuine supporters ) win. You can be the Boston Strangler for me , but how you have transformed my club in such a short time is amazing. Keep up the good work and good times and memories lay ahead. My sentiment too … im hoping he stays and the club carries on progressing…lets wait n see but i think he may resign.
IMO and not forgetting im an overseas supporter ….reading many posts on here it beggars belief that so called true loyal Scunny fans want DH to go and thus the club more than likely fold , to me thats truly head shaking…seemingly so blase at the possible demise of SUFC and over what exactly.. did he murder someone ? a few porkies are far out weighed by what he has done for the town and its football club.
If the worst happens i hope the goodbye Hilton gang will be happy when the club has gone .. sounds to me like just a shrug of the shoulders for some.
Im sure this will effect things on the field as well expect a dip in form as the uncertainty mounts about the clubs future.

He’s admitted to not being truthful about his time in prison and I’m sure he now regrets his statements he has made in the past but either way and whatever your viewpoint we need our club to move forward and I don’t think he will be staying for long from his tone in the interview, hope I’m wrong but I think he’s going.
Yes sadly i think you could be correct IA … and if that does happen the real possibility of a town without a football club.. it seems a few on Bru wont be too bothered so long as DH is hounded out.
A fairly easy question to answer, with Hilton at the helm we have a club, without him – who knows. Some of us are desperate for our club to survive, others just want to see Hilton humiliated. Do I have concerns? Of course I do, but I also wonder why you and Interested Bystander are so keen to destroy an individual.
(Reply to Ruuger’s question)spot on .. DH and have a club OR he walks and no club ..
what say you Ironeye ??
so hes
convicted and served his time
told a few porkiesand also
saved the club from the brink of going under
bought a squad to compete
smiles on faces and abuzz around the placeGood mix to be an owner ??? maybe not but no worse than the UKs politicians and more
Scunthorpe still has a football club
btw if he goes n the club folds would you shed a tear ???

just chucking this in the mix , not wishing to start a shit fight but ..if DH walks away and no others come in isnt it pretty much certain the club will die…
Bearing in mind DH did step in to basically save the club , now the best squad n set up for years in a good place to move back up the football ladder …so he has done a little bit of bird ( i know many who have) mislead on occasions but id much rather have him at the helm then the club go under.
Listening to his interview sounded to me like a broken man who will walk and who can blame him.. and our club is fooked.
Im sure certain members will be along soon posting with glee .
Broken man? It was a sob story, looking for sympathy, do you think a leopard can change it’s spots?
Yes i have been skeptical of DH and it was a sob story agree ..but i dont really give a shit if its between Scunny having a football club or not.

Twood appear proper Herbert has posted re the Athletic article on the SUFC fans FB page .. and some thing about naked pictures and a kit man ????? .. expect any remotely negative comments to be swept quicker than my housekeeper on a Friday afternoon Buddha day.
Try this
Yep that works fine thanks DM … hell ova read …my eyes are bleeding but worth it.
Bloody ell that was some read … not read that much since i was in Borstal
Do we really want to play that team again ? Bad enough we have to go to their place.
We are going to come against shite refs and rubbish, defensive teams all season. They were shite but we couldn’t do anything about it. Freak weather at 2 games is unlucky but, take it on the chin, learn the lesson and get on positively with rest of the season.
If it is ordered to be replayed does that mean Scales is still suspended for 3 matches as the Buxton one won’t count ?Good points TJO … whilst i remain enthused and positive with regard to the first few games of the season i do have lingering thoughts that if we cant break down teams who set up like Curzon n Buxton it will obviously lead to points dropped and possibly a play off spot at best… take into account injuries suspensions and its safe to say WGs HMS piss the league has hit the rocks already.
Well done that man .. i shall hunt down the YT vid highlights.
Seems Carver n Barrows are both doing well away on loan .. even though the wheels have come off the Ilkeston wagon of late.. not heard much about Poulter n Robertson at their respective loan clubs but i see both are languishing in the bottom zone in the NP league.
I hope that, whatever happens tomorrow, we don’t have high tensions. Probably a forlorn hope, and we will have “I told you sos” from ironeye, defenders saying the journalist must have an agenda against Hilton and pointing to his response on Facebook as gospel truth. Then there might be the burner accounts for some more abuse, slander and death threats.
I just am told a story is being published on our situation
PLEASE …. Can anyone enlighten me as to WTF this is referring to ..
Anything could happen with the referee’s report and the Micky mouse authorities.
I’m not bitter about the result, we weren’t at the races. But how can you award Buxton the points with a minimum of 5 minutes still to play- more like 7/8 with stoppages.
Yes i too am not bitter re the result as Scunny were very very poor and Buxton came to do a job n did it well ..aided by inept officials the weather and some of the worst time wasting ive seen something which contributed to the lenghty added on time and also not mentioned by the Buxton manager in the newspaper article post match whinge.
Im of the opinion the ref just wanted to get out the building after realizing he had dropped areal bollock and his report will be softened solely to to protect his actions therefore IMO result standing no replay.Comment on the ironarmy yt vid saying points have gone to Buxton .. so result stands , of course not saying how accurate that info is
Nobody injured or suspended that would need Barrows to replace him IFA.
I thought he is a very versatile player can play numerous positions .. loosing every week at Ilkeston not good for his confidence as well.
Just read in the Non-League paper they are on their Third manager of the season already.
In free fall after a promising start .. i would be bring Barrows back off loan ASAP the way injuries n suspensions are shaping up at Scunny
The abandonment at the time was a relief but now I think the result will stand once the refs report goes in.
Yes i agree .. IMO refs report in , NL panel sit and result will stand no replay… if the opposite happens it would be a real surprise and very lucky for the Iron.
seems like when Swan is in the mix CASH IS KING .. pulled this off the Scunny fans group FB page

Latest email from the Iron Trust regarding Glanford Park and “the owner’s intention to Sell notification” 👇
We need to update Trust members on the situation regarding Glanford Park and its status as an asset of community value (ACV).. Earlier this week the Trust received a letter from North Lincolnshire Council telling us that they had had notification from Mr Swann informing them of his intention to sell Glanford Park. The main content of the letter is copied below.
“ASSET OF COMMUNITY VALUE – intention to sell
The Sands Venue Stadium, Scunthorpe United Football Club
I write to inform you as the nominator of the above property as an Asset of Community Value of the owner’s intention to Sell notification
received on 31 August 2023.
I must advise you that because the property is on the council’s Assets of Community Value list , the following moratorium periods will now commence:
Initially there is an interim moratorium period of six weeks during which an eligible ‘community interest group’ can submit a written request to be treated as a potential bidder for the property.
The written request should be marked for my attention and sent to the address above,
This interim moratorium period commences on 31 August 2023
and ends on 11 October 2023. If such a request is received then the next stage commences, but if no such request is received then the owner is free to sell the property.
The full moratorium period of six months is triggered if a valid written/email
request is received. This period is intended to give the community group
time to assemble a bid and, if successful, complete the purchase. However, the owner is not obliged to sell to the community group. The full moratorium period will end on 28 February 2024
.
There is a protected period of eighteen months during which the owner is
free to sell the property without further delay if no community group has submitted a written/email request and/or pursued it through to completion of the purchase within the relevant moratorium periods.”
The Iron Trust board is meeting this coming week to discuss this letter and we will then contact all members again to set out our our thoughts on the situation. It is worth reminding ourselves that Mr Swann didn’t have to activate the ACV process when he sold the club to Mr Hilton as it was sold as a going concern.*************
Abandoned according to Dean so now waiting on a ruling to see if the result stands or if it’s to be replayed. A panel decides that. The penalty Elliot took was a joke, you could hardly see the ball and it was sat quarter way up in water.
If as you say it goes to a panel youve got to think they will let the result stand being so late in the game , will they even take into consideration the conditions when Eliiot took the pen ?
Weve already seen some very bad officials in NLN this year but this guy was utter gash on so many fronts ..totally clueless and inconsistent.
Surely Buxton will appeal the abandonment and any decision will be in the hands of the NLN top brass…my prediction is for what ever reason they come up with they will confirm the result stands no replay
Crazy game .. in so many ways.
First n foremost a terrible Scunny performance
Yellow cards like confetti , a straight red with more overlooked
2 penalties one given by the linesman
a medical emergency in the crowd (hope the guy is ok)
freakiest weather
diabolical officials were dire on so many issues
Buxton time wasting player falling to the ground for no reason.IMO not solely basing this on yesterday but Elliot should not be taking pens ..ridiculous run up is all to predictable and he will have more saved then he scores…
Game should have been halted and restarted or abandoned earlier well before the Elliot pen.
If the abandonment stands ..we got out of jail and very lucky as Buxton came to do a job on us and did it well … it seems Scunny simply cannot find a way to break down teams that set up and play this way ALA Curzon now Buxton and this needs sorting out.
This also highlighted just how much we miss Clunan , Scales and Beestin.

Bloody ell thats crappy news ..
I was expecting Roberts to be always injured and see very little action …. but IMO its Clunan thats the biggest hit hes club captain and a massive influence in the midfield.
No mention of Beestin , hope hes back sooner rather than later ??
Bit of good news ..just renewed my UK passport in Bangkok yesterday and ready for a trip back, my son is gonna tag along .. last went to a Scunny match when he was 3 yrs old ..now 23
