I know we are in a decent position for the playoffs but make no mistake its gonna be a very difficult whoever we play in them.
So why are at this point .. with this squad has HMS piss the league floundered , ran aground and ship wrecked ?? answers on a postcard …. but IMO
Meeting the freak perfect storm in Tamworth
What ever it was (still dont know) but the off field drama at SUFC must of effected the teams mindset in that terrible spell after New Year.
Too many very dikky decisions by refs etc perfectly good goals disallowed (SMT), numerous stone wall pens not given etc etc and also games being called off when should have been played which resulted in the team we were playing being stronger and in better form that at the first time of playing (SMT)
Some of JDs tactics n team selection/formation hasnt helped at times
anymore ?? feel free to add.

any decisions made re where to host may have been lead by general interest and ticket sales ..was it a sell out? no point in booking a place like the Baths hall if not enough takers and vice versa a venue that may have been too small.
First guest speaker could be Wondergoals he could explain where and how HMS piss the league ran aground and was ship wrecked (only kiddin WGs) .
It would be a costly mistake giving Dean next season. Aside from the odd great performance – the season as a whole hasn’t been good enough – I look at the fact we have lost 10 times to these teams when we have a squad on paper that should’ve done a Yeovil. Over the season not good enough – can we risk Dean involved in player recruitment. loans will be vital and his use of loan players has been abysmal
Cant argue with any of that IA .. IMO if we win the playoffs the Board will give JD next season as just cant see them sacking him after hes has achieved the goal set when brought in, i just hope its on a decent easy to terminate contract that wont cost the club an arm n a leg to off load if n when it goes tits up we are struggling as the NL league be a whole new ball game one im not sure JD could survive in.. do they have month by month contracts ????.
Also suppose it depends on just who could would come in and replace him ???

Nah, field the strongest line up possible and get the job done. Substitute them if and when necessary to save their legs.
I agree that would be the best approach but even sitting them out we’ll win !
Indeed i think JD should start his strongest 11 and sub early if things go well to protect against injury and silly red cards , also this Lincs cup final fixture isnt at the best time…
WGs i wished i shared your optimism and IMO Blyth wont be the push over you and it seems many other fans are predicting yhey desperately need a win to avoid relegation
over the years supporting Scunny ive learned to expect the unexpected.
But the scenario you describe IFA, is feasible!
Indeed it is …its a funny old game and stranger things have happened… very interesting to see how JD sets up this Saturday be nice to see a 442 line up , but doubtful.
Hopefully no injuries and or red cards in the last 2 fixtures
OH and PLEASE no stupid sendings off or unnecessary injury risks as both could cost us for the playoffs.
Lets not forget Brackley are in the best current form in the top 7 places of the table and more so they have already done us in a winner takes all FA cup encounter earlier in the season when arguably in worse form then they are now.
Hoping JD gives Corbett a start this Saturday.

Yes nearly being the key word … IF Scunny loose against Blyth and Glouster and Brackley (3 pts behind) win both they will finish second .. and Chorley (5pts behind) win both they would also finish above the Iron… of course this wont happen ..WILL IT ???
UTI
Apologies quoting myself but im not sure the table i saw had been updated or was correct .. so quite possibly my post above is bollocks.
Possibly an evening with anyone from the sporting world … be nice to see Neil Warnock do a gig or Darren Farley.

Im just hoping Whitehall doesnt go Daft Vadar n get sent off in next 2 games ..i take it suspensions carry over and he would miss the playoffs .. he was close to marching against Hereford going by Gareths Ironarmy vlog.
Great idea … dunno about her football interest or knowledge but an evening with Mia Khalifa would surely sell out ive heard she is a staunch Scunny fan !!
Seriously i reckon much as they do on match days some of the past Iron greats would make for a decent evenings entertainment…possibly something o along the lines of an after dinner speaker and include a nice multi course meal.
Maybe the new FnB team might be interested , surprised Glyn not thought of this hes usually on the ball re sponsorships and money making events.
Just going through my phone contacts trying to find Ms Khalifa number.
Is Clarke out of favour?
Disappointed that we have only one up front but – as long as JD switches over quickly if his scheme ain’t working …Just dont get why JD seems so anti to start 442.
Clarke for Pugh IMO ..and Corbett should be in playing alongside Whall
Todays staring line up and its not 442
https://www.facebook.com/sufcofficial/
Corbett can get a sniff like the look of him.
A very strong squad and selection headache for JD with a fully fit circa 20 to choose from and this fixture purely depends on how he decides to tactically to address it.
i would like to see 442 and go for it from the KO as im sure Hereford will come to attack as they need points to get into the play offsFitz (obviously no one else)
Ogle Kouogun (Boyce or Evans??) Denton
Butterfield Scales Roberts Corbett
Whitehall ElliotBench DSF, MacAlinden (Boyce or Evans,Kelly Pugh.
If we attack play with pace and i can see us winning by 2 … 3-1
If its the slow sideways style .. 0-0 or 1-1Final prediction is a tight 2-1 win for Scunny
Att 3,956Fitz
Ogle Evans Kouogun Kelly
Butterfield Scales Corbett Roberts
Whall ElliotJust dont get JDs thought process… who everchooses n decides who comes in it seems rather strange…
Corbett looked excellent at SMT si ce cannit get a sniff
Clarke ??
Macalinden ??
Youmbi .. best not even go there
now this Leesley fellaHiw many same position player do we beed not to play them ..
I reca.it took a fair while fir Connor Smith ti get in the side as well.
I thought Jds starting line up yestrtday was an Aprils fools joke with no Butterfield or Corbett.. i said as much on tha fans group FB but all you get is this 4 games in 9 dsys bullshit…its obviously JD doesnt know his best stsrting 11
The 89th winner in no way clouds my opinion as to just how crap weve been against KLT n noe Southport.. playoff win is pie in the sky on these performance levels
MOTM .. ??? Stuart Maw

Having a day at the beach to cool down its 40 degrees here so an early prediction.
JD pre match interview will include ” its a tough game”
Not sure re Southports attacking options with Carver n Bennett both not playing expect another defensive set up to counter attack… FEELING THEY WILL NICK A GOAL…that said so will we for a score prediction of 1-1..
(hopefully we knock 2 in for a 2-1 Scunny win)

Sadly im not confident about gaining promotion via the playoffs especially as it now looks like we will more than likely not retain second spot.
I predict us getting 7 or 8 points max from our remaining fixtures which could see us in third or even drop to fourth depending how Brackley get on.I base my lack of optimism on ..
Being very inconsistent
Always fail to turn up for big games
Terrible in front of goal failure to take our chances
Teams know how to set up against us as seen numerous times throughout the season.
Seems no plan B when things need changing in game
Does JD even know his strongest line up ?I still feel there is some thing not quite right in the back ground … possibly some know they wont be here next season .. anybodys guess.
Read one comment on another platform where a fan is saying there is only one footballing brain at the club n thats Jacob Butterfield .. going on results etc since the NY whose to argue JB is one player the club must try to keep which ever league we are playing in next season.uti

Best player last game or two was Corbett – no look in today.
Mind boggling Corbett didnt figure .. and Scales should have been on from the start .
JD starting 11 was a terrible mix … i get 4 games in 9 days but the players that played so well at SMT should have started then subbed as the game progressed yesterday.
Very poor performance all round and honestly playing that that at home wont cut the mustard in the play offs .. Chorley moving in for second and us sucked into the general play off melee more likely.
Great attendance going home feeling let down …AGAIN.

Re York … if we dont go up could find ourselves in NLN with them next season and they may possibly be well backed financially where as we will not.
Im guessing all current NLN clubs would want us to stay down .. possibly weaker next season but still well supported which means added income for them ..OH plus the glamour of playing the once great mighty Iron OBVIOUSLY

Not an easy one to call this but im going for a score draw .. 1-1 or 2-2 , KL on a good run and too many sides as well as raise their game when playing us also have our measure… obviously i hope im wrong and we thump them 3-4 nowt.
Happy Easter one n all ..just had a delivery of hot cross buns ready for tomorrow ..
im guessing many have enjoyed the extra income traveling Iron fans have generated this season ..
im sure Alex Cheshire Cheese landlord will be torn between promotion and being promoted..There are of course numerous reasons why we must get out of this nasty league .. York City is one and my piss is still boiling from the ref at SPMT .. in truth just one of very very poor referees throughout the season this Taylor guy has to take the prize for worst decision ive seen.
Playing better which is obviously good but the play offs are a lottery and Scunny are consistent at not turning up for the big games so they do worry me.

Not that i partake but do get feed back from my daughter and shes offered mixed reviews on the food on matchdays but raved about the Sunday carvery
One has to assume TSG interest may wain and catering for the remaining home games may be some what iffy ..some stuff not available and using up stock before departing…after being installed by Hilton was always going to be the possibility of a one off season for TSG just hope for fans sake a decent alternate comes in.
As for Mr Stamp who can now stop the SUFC burger flipping (and listening at the board room door 555) has supported the club in many ways during his tensure so good luck to him in Burringham , i was a barman at the then Ferryboat Inn at just 18 yrs old a long time ago !!…great memories.uti
JD just has to go for it .. hopefully more options going forward with Corbett on from the start n Roberts off the bench ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ..could be a few goals in this one just hope Scunny score one more than SPM…IMO IF can win tonight its down to 8 points and Tamworth may get the jitters .. anything other than a win and its done n dusted, just our luck to be meeting SPM in a dodgy called rearranged fixture when they are on a unbeaten run with a couple of their best players now available…pleased that young loanee lad Shrimpton cant play hopefully be a big miss for them.
If its not called off AGAIN
Prediction is 3-2 (either way)If i recall correctly Warrington were a half decent strong physical side and a tad unfortunate to loose at GP earlier in the season so im sticking with my 1-1
If you are out on loan at this key stage of the season… then I’d guess you ain’t in the managers retention thought process?
Quite possibly true for ..
Carver .. agree should be gone
Bennett ..agree should never have been re signed
Barrows ..dont agree want him back at Scunny ASAP.
Wilson ..Jury still out for me let him go elsewhere.
* Poulter and Robertson .. not seen enough to commentIm guessing Shrimpton my be the one currently out on loan who will figure in JDs plans for next season AND SO HE SHOULD ..if JD has a next season at Scunny obviously…
* IMO regardless of the outcome this season if i were a betting man i would put a few bob on JD still being manager next season just get the feeling the board will stick with him ..all be it with a very different group of players to work with .
Foreign manufacturer, they should either not include our national flag on the shirt at all but if they are going to include it, it should be the right one.
Incidentally, I wouldn’t buy one whatever it has on it.Bang on ..
1-1
