2-0 Scunny today
Att 4028Well said Rene … that sentiment echoed from me and im guessing every Iron fan around the world.
Happy Christmas and a prosperous healthy 2024 to all at SUFC owners players staff and fans … not forgetting football fans from many other clubs who came to the fore in our hour of need.

Thought Buxton did a number on us both games- dodgy ref and our off the field issues can be partly used as an excuse,
But in reality they just had our number and beat us pretty convincingly.A good barometer to see if Jimmy has learned from the previous games, tactically we must be smarter.
Always hope for the win but will settle for a point.
1-1
Agree with all that .. has JD progressed or improved tactically since we played them last … he does have the likes of Roberts to choose from now as well.
One thing ..hoping for a decent ref , strong and i can see Roberts getting kicked to pieces a long with Butterfield being mauled by a pride of lions every time he gets the ball.. a weak ref would be playing right into their hands and destroy the chance of a decent flowing game.
Coming out of this game unscathed without any injuries would be a huge result ..though its unlikely the hatchet job Buxton seem to prefer.
Way to early to know the weather in Feb and if the rearranged rearrangement will go ahead … the league table will look a whole lot different by then too, just hoping Scunny are still top of the pile n clear.
Lots of suggestions and guesswork on the SFFBP with Simon Elliot calming the speculation saying all will be revealed in January ….. i take it the Herbert Arena is now not an option as Mr Herbert is otherwise engaged for the next couple of years.

Not got a good feeling about today .. they are probably our bogey side and all be it assisted by the weather an inept ref and bad timing re where Scunny were as a club when played them they did have the measure of us quite convincingly utilizing all the shithouse tactics known to mankind that mostly went unspotted by the official .. revenge would be sweet as i believe some Bux fans are still telling the story to their grand kids and need silencing … that said my prediction is
Bux 2 Scunny 2

A must lose game.
Agree there Rene .. treat it as a run out for fringe players only loose n get rid of an irritating distraction.
Campbell
Stanton Kouogan Butler Kelly
Law Shrimpton Beestin Jenkins Wilson
ElliottCould Poulter & Robertson play?
Like that line up … send it to JD
is it likely we will see Connor Smith going back to Scotland in January
Rather lop sided view of the game from Mr Preece … especially re the first half penalty decisions.
Ar ok .. its possible Wilson and Jenkins may find it hard to get into the starting line up as their positions are some what well covered .. and thats with DSF out on loan n playing very well by all accounts. Competition for places is good and some will possibly get a bit peed off.
IF get promoted i would hope JD has noted quite a few players in this league to snaffle ..the baldy Buxton left right back was impressive to name one… re Buxton coming up next i believe would hope the players are well up for it being as they have kicked our arse twice at home already this season.
Question .. whats happened to Jenkins ?? injured , out of favour or did i miss hes gone back to parent club.

3-1 Scunny Att 3389
Good to see Ogle back would still like to see Elliot startYes agree ..
only change is Ogle so JD not shaking things up as previously commented ..
IMO i would have had Max in for Boyce and Elliot starting in place of Whitehall..Hoping for a good performance , attendance and result.

Chester at 16s is a tempter … i think its between Scunny n them for the title.
December 15, 2023 at 7:44 am in reply to: 1899 / 100 Members Consultation Event @ GP Monday 18th #278164I decided not to invest and thankfully my daughter heeded my advice and also did the same.
If i had decided to go ahead then i would be working with others in the same boat to form group sponsored legal team to challenge WHAM for a refund.. Dodgy Dave as the labour MP Denis Skinner once called out in the HOP.
Obviously hoping for a post SHM defeat reactionary home league win but this is going to a be tough game as Chorley in excellent form. IMO JD does need to change things up ab it n give Elliot a full game, Ogle back a boost and like to see Evans and Kouogun back in CD.
Prediction 2-2
Att 3,567WOW the carvery is getting some fantastic reviews well done to all concerned… whilst a Sunday roast is available in numerous locations here they are at best ok and most certainly not like my old mam used to make.
The one thing food wise i truly miss are proper fish n chips , haddock chips n mushy peas i recall Scunny having a dam good selection of chippys (Carvers , Wilsons etc ) back in the day though i must admit my fav spot was Steeles in Cleggy. So many places try to do FnC here but still to find anything remotely like those over chippy counter variety in Scunny.
Do the SG guys do FnC Fridays ??
Draw at full time
Draw AET
SHM to win on pens
Att 2,228PLEASE no serious injuries for us … twood be CATASTROPHIC to loose any key players for the league campaign.
Bit longer highlights

Attis arena!
Has a sort of ring to it Joe.Attis was fundamentally the god of vegetation and fertility, and in his self-mutilation, death, and resurrection he represents the fruits of the earth… strangely it is also a brand of skin whitening foam whip.
Who is Joe ??
I’m impressed with your research, although you’ve been researching in the wrong place.
Who’s Joe?
He owns Attis.Does Joe Attis make mr whippy skin whitening cream by any chance ??? … being a keen historian no research required this information was neatly stored in darkest recesses of my memory bank.
“a game of crochet”
Really?
No unfortunately we hadnt booked the croquet lawn and there wasnt a slot free for a game so went on a cultural mission of enlightenment in Nana n Cowboy instead spreading the word about the mighty Iron.. replaced afternoon tea with other more exiting liquids so much so my tongue was like a pub carpet this morning and not done a stroke of work today.

Probably competing with each other to see who could crochet the most number of doily NLN size.
well done Nost spotting my deliberate mistake ..

Fingers crossed the powers that be can achieve a nice big cash lump for the stadium naming rights again twill be a huge boost if possible.
Reading the comments on FB it also appears the Sunday carvery at GP is belting …loads of very positive re the food service etc and only 12 quid seems a bargain.
Solihul up next but TBH im swaying to the opinion whilst a cup run would be nice for the added income the chance of injuries imagine Fitz Butterfield or Roberts getting crocked in a cup game anyone really thus effecting the league form out weighs the benefits.
Indeed had a fantastic weekend celebrating first the GP news then a 5-1 away win to take us tpppa tha league .. my liver now in recovery mode and twas great to meet some other Asian based Scunny fans for afternoon tea and a game of crochet.
This week hopefully will be the base for the club to push on .. maybe the GP news did offer a boost to the players now knowing they will be playing in the stadium that it appeared when most signed.
Still think it will go to the wire in a Scunny/Tam 2 horse race similar to that of Notts County n Wrexham in the NL last season.Keeping the injury list down is paramount to success if promotion is to this season .. hoping Tamworth have a bad patch as well.
One last thing …Jacob Butterfield is dynamite ,,,different class.
UTI
Brilliant result that extended my GP news celebration into the overnight n daylight hours in Bangkok, .. woke up massive heedache but still buzzin and heading for a greasy full English brekkie ..
UTI ..toppa the league what a week
has left by mutual consent.
Shame i liked Chappo … lets hope some sort of cover will come in , just our luck Fitz to get injured now.
Im sure there would be a way to incorporate a stadium sponsor within also using many fans first choice The New Showground ..
example
The Rene Artois New Showground … could well be worth a decent lump od revenue going into the clubs coffers.Chairwoman just been on radio said dodgy d never paid any bills.
Well knock me down with a feather , who would of thought DH could of been lying ??? again .. suppose now GP is safe and both Swan and Hilts are out the picture the folks in charge whom i might ad actually have the clubs best interests at heart may start to reveal a few more details and this DH didnt pay BOMBSHELL 555555 shock is only the first.
Hoping the next Atheltic article isnt to long away …what you say Itonironiron ??? any comment ??
i drop into the fish market every now n then and more recently the Scunny thread has dropped off possibly due to their poor form and our improving situation… seems the cods have their own worries after the recent sacking of Hurst and appointment of a fella called Artell..
Not a bad forum some goods topics though i chose not to join in fear of crabs……being allergic to just about all crustacean not the other variety.
