Today’s the day – 2-0 – Mark Beck and Michael Clunan

What odds on Clunan scoring .. be a miracle of biblical proportions …

Dont care who nets but be great if Beck , Udou or Mo could notch.

Waiting news on Danny Whall n Alfir Beestin .. if included could be key.

Due to atrocious recruitment, and poor striking options, I can only see a scraped draw, or close defeat. Brace yourselves lads, 0-2, 1-2, or 1-1.

Sometimes its got to be laid out straight and i dont think we are good enough to to beat Chester tomorrow unless we click and its a mega performance rather than the mediocre we are used to. ITS CALLED CRUNCH TIME and i hope the players step up and put the effort in to reward the massive fan turn out.

    That said .,.re previous post
Yes sadly i agree 0-0 1-1 is best option .. BUT i fear a 0-1 or 0-2 or 1-2 for the exact reasons you mention,, our toothless strike force and a huge loud away following may well get Chester over the line as Scunny NEVER turn p on the big occasion.

Desperately need Whitehall and Beestin back. If Wreh is injured, he needs to get himself back to at least offer a different option.

Wreh gone back to Tamworth so forget about him WGs ..

Gareth’s vlog from last night is good, seem to be going for a world record of using the F word.

Having just found time to watch Gareths cinematic extravaganza it does appear we were utter gash and the performance was very lack luster being out played in every aspect …yet im still seeing some delusional SUFCFFB members saying it was a decent performance.

We are well in the title mix along with 3 or 4 others and maybe one surprise package sneaking up on the rails ..Saturday is now massive arguably the biggest game of the season so lets hope for once we turn up on the big occasion as in the past more often than not we have not in such circumstances.

Can’t say to much didn’t watch the game, but from what has been said we appeared lack luster again, could have made a real statement for the title by going 5 clear and getting rid of kiddie altogether in the process, makes Saturday game win or bust imo.

No biggie if we win on Saturday another 4 wins after that should see us win the title anything less then playoffs it will be.

Goes without saying not happy with Butler he’s getting the bare minimum out of his squad and every game seems a trial,, not many games are enjoyable but at least we’ve being getting results mainly due to the piss poor opposition, last night losing 1-0 and putting Boyce on, and not Mo or Williams who are more creative players in my eyes unbelievable, fail to see where he thought doing that would get us an equalizer.
Promotion or not I hope he goes (though I do know if we do he won’t) if only for his shite recruitment.

Agree .. NO MO was a BLOW..

Roberts was marked out the game n bingo we are toast.

How many more big crowd , must win games are we gonna bottle ?? .. realistically are we better than any other team in the top 8 ?? average performances . late lucky goals to scramble a face saving result leads me to believe not and i think Saturday will be a tight affair, a huge following and our toothless chance taking front line may cost us .. so at best a draw is my prediction 0-0 OR 1-1

So many delusional SUFC fans thinking we are superior when in reality we are not.

    We are in the mix

Maybe Matlock then? They haven’t scored for 3 games and I believe they’ve had some recent investment.

Isnt Immingham the posh part of Grimsby without the stench of fish , flytipping, boarded up windows and super glued letterboxes so bailiffs can post a summons …

It makes Scunny look like St Tropez ..

Maybe a few of Hiltons era mega signings could be tempted to Matlock with another Willy Wonka golden ticket regardless if we go up OR NOT.

got my alarm set for 2:30am … must confess to not being overly confident or optimistic about the next two crunch fixtures .. we always seem to bottle it in front of a big crowd.

Kiddy … Im predicting an open game with us avoiding defeat being acceptable keeping the run going. 1 point incoming 1-1

Chester … not easy to call with a possible 8k plus crowd hopefully getting to enjoy a cracking game … 3 pointS incoming 3-2 just not sure who too.

    WOW!

    Farsley 40/1
    Draw 7/1
    Scunthorpe 1/9
    £1 on Farsley?

Sounds daft obviously hoping for a Scunny win but did however manage to get a tenner on a Farsley win at 40s.. sorry but just had to be done.

Plenty still critical of Beck. Is it justified?

As AB has changed the setup IMO Beck has and is improving .. shame his goal was chalked off for offside as he needs to score again to boost his confidence, twas a tight call by the look ov it.

Im just not overly optimistic we have it in us win the title and so twill be the dreaded lottery of the playoffs again thus proving just what a shit stain this league is.

Yesterday a decent result and keeps the unbeaten run going (all be it too many soft draws) BUT are current performances at a level that of a title winning side …. im not sure they are sadly to hit n miss and too many average halves as in yesterday.
If i had to put a lump of money on us it would not be promoted as champions but possibly sneak it via the playoffs… which in hindsight during the negative boring spell when ABs future in in doubt most would have taken.

    As for it being a slow week, some things that might be factors;

Nothing much on-field or off to moan about
    Butler Outists quietened
    Not much club activity reported
    Not much intrigue, gossip, rumour
    Burner accounts quiet
Time of the season – waiting for the final run in
Weather improved – washing to put out, gardening to be done
Bad reception in our nuclear bunkers
    Not arsed with life generally…

All quiet on the Western front ..not a lot to comment on recently especially with ABs apparent change of heart and more attacking flowing football being on the menu.

Add to above some ov us peasants are busy working .. or got locked in a naturist ,bondage “discipline” and swingers resort for a few days.

Come end ov the season and if we have failed in our promotion quest it will be interesting to see who stays n who departs especially those signed it those crazy days of Hiltonmania .. money over any loyalty for most im guessing, its a fact if there is a mass exodus it will more than likely leave us with a mountain to climb with a basic squad of averagness.
What we look like without Fitz , Roberts, Whall, Clunan,Denton etc ..

Saying that if we are promoted im guessing some might still jump ship.

Is anyone remotely interested in it, announced the dates but no acts ffs.

Not wishing to be a Victor Meldrew but i am certainly not interested even if i was in UK and it was free i would not attend..my hot dance moves are somewhat restricted since my Tiffanys dance floor days of yore but each to their own… music, sausages, meat pies big boobs small boobs, poodle or pit bull, vanilla or chocolate, straight or gay its what makes the world go round.

I do however hope the weather is kind, there is a huge turn and its a massive success out thus so assisting the club financially

Sadly .. not got a good feeling about this one.

Hoping we can put this Buxton Hoodoo to bed.

Very interesting to see how AB lines up after the Darlo success.

Happy with a draw keep the unbeaten run going ..no not really but

Prediction – going for 1-1 OR 2-1 to Buxton can not see us winning unfortunately.

Maybe he thought we weren’t playing to his strengths?

Exactly what i thought at the time Cass when saw him subbed on Iornarmy YT Vid .. was arsey cos played out of position / different position to accommodate Wreh and less chance of scoring ..he obviously thrives on goals and maybe has his eye on the Golden boot (or flip flop such is the pitch)now Whall gonna be missing … good for the CV and his next move.

Also it was one of his less effective non prominent games so probably frustrated as mentioned after all he is the star of the show in most outings.

Terrible 2;45 am KO time but stayed up to listen the RH commentary and pleased i did..great performance against a decent Darlo side.
Beestin MOTM but everyone put a shift in and i especially liked ABs decision to play Beck and Wreh up front lets hope he persists with it as there could well be the makings of a decent strike force… like to see Beck Wreh Ubo and Mo get a few goals.

On to bogey team Buxton who always seem to have our number so not too confident on 3 points being away , lets hope its time for some pay back.

Very tight at the top .. Curson , KLT and Buxton have dropped away slighty but anyone in the top 6 could still realistically finish top with Hereford Brackley and Chorley all rocking at the mo.

Apologies, IFA. If I plagiarised – it was subconsciously.

Hey no worries Les i was just pointing out that there must be a few fans of the same mind..

    Great minds think alike 55555

With Ubo, Mo and Wreh we have quite a decent front line in the making but not if they are always on the bench at KO .. IMO AB should roll the dice at the business end of the season and try to push on.

I think Fadera might just be the guy to open up defences. I’d want to see him start every game and if it ain’t working – bring him off early.
But if it does work it will be coz many defences at this level cannot cope with pace.

I said as much on another thread Les but i reckon AB seems to air on the side of caution and as yet hasnt fielded a starting 11 with the intent to attack from the off .. hope Mo gets the nod to start and go at Darlo.
By all accounts Beck had a decent game at Oxford but IMO he aint the answer and at this time of the season we need to be throwing caution to the wind and having a proper go .. the Oxford performance was very sterile.

    Darlo in decent form
Expect them to come and be defensive n try to do us on the break..therefore i think no Fitz clean sheet this time and they will score 1 or 2…. HOWEVER IF ..thats if AB decides to change things up front and go for it we will score 3 so im going for an arse nipping 3-2 win in front of 3,268

Sadly more than likely AB wont change things until just after half time as that seems to be his blue print recently.
