Any update on the Unity Launch at the AAGP ???

Earl fell asleep, Jerry spilled his pint and Stu disappeared into a cupboard with a blow up doll, nothing new really, lol

LMFBO at this ..alas probably quite accurate 55555555555

Was the Meeting well attended last night to set up the Group ?

Indeed twood settle my inquisitive nature knowing if it was well attended or a total non event only for the reason im intrigued to know if many chose this over the Iron Trust or along with the IT.

No updates from the 3 musketeers ..maybe Stu still in the cupboard 55555555

We are bang in form, one defeat in 13, 5 wins on the bounce, might be dreaming but if we beat Curzon, Kidderminster and Chester we can order the champagne.

Calm down calm down and have a cuppa tea

Having just listened to AB pre Warrington and much more interview i now get the idea why Law has gone to Spalding and more SO under the wing of JD who signed him when at Scunny.
    Also good news re Clunan.

Important we head into March with a run of form. A must win for me. Keeping pressure on Chester would also set up that home match to be a cracker – potential sell out with all the offers.

agree a must win .. anything else not good enough.

Wait, what? So the My Football rumour was true? Getting mixed messages from the video. Did George say they’re quite excited about going forward with it barring some details to sort out but Ian said after that they’ve spoke to someone involved in it’s earlier incarnation but that’s as far as it went? Maybe I misheard. If anyone can clarify it that would be appreciated.

Worryingly there were indeed a couple of contradictory remarks from the 2 owners on the podcast vid and whilst the unity angle was pushed i get the feeling something is not quite right…then bosh new revelations about debt and director loans surface on another SM platform.
    Another sh8t storm brewing ????

    Hilton coming back?

That would go down well …. you cannot be serious !!!!! as a famous tennis player used to say

Whilst many other clubs across the footballing spectrum have signed players either full contracts or loan deals the fact its all quiet at the AAGP brings it home just how financially strapped the club is.. never known a spell of inactivity re signings bit sad really but at least we still have a club and Stu Maw.

Still loosing 65k a month is head shaking after all the progress in the last year plus .. maybe lowering the bar and off loading some of the over paid Hilton era players could be agood idea even at the cost of longer in the NLN

So did i … also known as THE MAD VAN, Toppo and Squeak Titterton ran it i believe Nuneaton and Shrewsbury awadays to remember… after my time i think it was THE TVI

maybe a cull …. off load some / most of these high earners and build again with players on realistic wages for this level thus staying in NLN a few more years in this process.

Job done in getting nine points, but struggled all the way to get them. This is not a promotion performing team, though it ought to be!

Chester are top, and they were utter shit when we played them. But alas we were worse under AB and JS’s no-attack policy, let’s keep 11 behind the ball and only go forward in the last 10 minutes.

Just think those 2 points would have put us top!!!!!!

9 points is 9 points but agree this current bunch are NOT a promotion winning side too many 0-0 thrown away points sloppy mistakes and very inconsistent (as are many others to be fair).
My tip for the title before a ball was kicked was Chester and lets not forget earlier on in the season their fans were calling for the manager to be sacked.
Its very tight at the top and wouldnt be surprised to see the likes of Buxton Darlo be right up there end of season.

Some big games coming up Curzon , Kiddy,Chester and Darlo so my Scunny prediction stands firm a low play off place at which point twill be interested to see what the BovD decide re AB n Scoff. Scrapping up by the back door would be ok but we would struggle big time in NL like Boston are currently doing.

No, not a ‘lost’ Bob Dylan song, but a comment on Fans64’s precis of the Trust meeting, attended by the SUFC board:

    Very high wage bill,a legacy.

    Wage bill less.

7 players taking bulk of current budget.

That suggests to me that there are seven players who will all probably turn down reduced terms after this season (if they’re out of contract). Along with everyone else I suspect some of those names are Fitzsimons, Whitehall, Clunan and Roberts – and I expect them to leave.

Let’s presume we fail to achieve promotion this season…

My first question then is, could we reasonably expect to get promoted the following season without those key men? Wouldn’t we be left with (and adding more of) your Fishburns and so on?

My second question then is, if we do get promoted this season, what significant financial difference will there be to the club’s income, and what knock-on effect will that have to player budget? Will the buzzword still be ‘sustainability’ if we’re in NL and if so will there still, therefore, only be lower terms on the table for the players?

If so, how could we expect to survive up a Division?

I have posted a few times precisely this .. expect to loose most of the Hilton high earners come the end of the season or their contracts, Im surprised Roberts is still here.

Great idea to Keep Fitz at the expense of the club fossil Muzzy , nowt against him hes dodged so many bullets his time has to come.

With this predicted exodus we will either be stuck in NLN much longer or if promoted this season struggle in the NL

    I have no answers.
I don’t expect to see us return to the EFL in my remaining lifetime – approximately 15 years.

    again IMO
3 to 5 years to get out of NLN (sorry cant see it being this season despite current form and standings)

When finally into NL expect another 3 to 5 years just surviving mid lower table possibly even flirting around relegation hopefully building and challenging at the top in year 5 and on wards

So going on that 6 to 12 years in non league before getting back to the EFL.

Things may change regarding how promotion and relegation places are currently decided ie top 2 automatic up and 1 via playoffs to fall in line same as the EFL.

I personally thought Beestin did well in that role. Still think we need another defensive midfielder as Clunan is the only one at the club. Whatever formation we end up playing, we’re going to need one for the sake of balance.

We could recall Shrimpton, but he’s not playing at Spennymoor and Brogan is more effective further up the pitch like Beestin is.

The whole point of Shrimpton n Brogan going out on loan was to get them game time .. in Shrimps case i note hes not getting much if any as on the subs bench which is strange as while their before he played every game and did very well by all accounts.

Not a massive fan of Clunan but hope his injury isnt long term coming to a pivotal part of the season… also hoping Roberts remains fit he is getting clattered “targeted perhaps” quite often

I see Ian Sharp is also attending the Trust AGM tomorrow.

Something is definitely brewing behind the scenes. I just hope to god it isn’t this My Football fan owned scheme which is going to come to fruition because it sounds terrible.

Agree WGs i get the feeling something is in the air …

I did notice recently the Bovd and CEO are all out n about more on match days , in the DRE and pitch tunnel at the end of games ..nowt wrong with that but they were MIA for quite a while recently.

It will all come out in the wash as my old gran used to say !!

Hopefully an Iron win and the added bonus of giving Dickman another reason to whinge and moan post match like he did at their place .. proper wuss packet wouldnt wanna be on a desert island with him.

They are pretty potent up front so reckon they will score against our sometimes sloppy defense so a tight 2-1 to Scunny would be my prediction.

Love to see Beck and or Charlton Ubu get a goal.

Lowest home league crowd of the season I believe last night, well it’s to be expected with three home games in a row I guess.

Also more or less zero away fans also (17 i think) which is understandable fair trek mid week working day.

Michelle made it quite clear that she’s done her bit in her July interview and about has far as she can go and wants more time away from it all, hence the CEO to take up a lot of her work.
Michelle will always have her place in history saving the club.
And if someone else comes in they can never take away from she herself did.

How you can put Ian in there sanfran I don’t know, in one of the dark times he was found wanting and only ended up on Michelle’s coat tales.

Bang on AWG … as you say in previous interviews Michelle stated she had done her bit and needed help , quite possibly this isnt hostile at all and she actually wants her life back .. offering new owners whoever they are and more investment thus a chance to full fill the clubs and fans ambitions.
Cant see Roj wanting to step aside he also has worked tirelessly.
Michelle Harness will forever go down in history as a legend and the person who saved SUFC.

imo no need for the word hostile … a tad premature perhaps.

Both goals were defendable particularly the second but I don’t think the subs were to blame, agree with DM’s synopsis.

Their second was offside … very poor officials by the sound ov it.

“Where were you when Banjo scored” Only just trickled in but in it went, got a great reception from all the players, well pleased for him that’s the monkey off his back, now for Uzbekistan to score.

Im guessing Mr Beck is a tad relieved this morning and hopefully confidence now boosted he can net a few more .. Comorn Charlton your turn next !!
Would like to see Rowley n Scales knock one in and we over due a Boyce goal

(i wont mention Clunan scoring as more chance of the tide coming in at Cleggy)

Yeah probably too soon we will be settling for a play off spot.
Just not good enough are we.

YEP just way too inconsistent to get auto promotion .. its only a matter of time until that though has gone and fans are settling for a play off spot.
