The BBC hammer all administrations if they fall short, and so they should. The Blair government was remorselessly challenged when appropriate, Harold Wilson hated the BBC.
It’s just that this present administration is notoriously thin skinned. It would really like to fully control the BBC.

The decarbonisation of steelmaking means eliminating the use of coal, therefore direct reduction. That would require the closure of the coke ovens and sinter plant, and possibly the ore blending plant.
It’s hard to swallow but is the way forward.
The production of hydrogen could an area where British Steel could expand.
