    Isn’t bad. Isn’t poor – there’s an endorsement.
Its not Butler who cant pass the ball or score with a decent chance or makes defensive mistakes.
Butler just puts them in the wrong positions and formation.

reality is the players (Roberts apart & gone in Jan) and the management team are all average. Caused by years of poor leadership, management and poor signings. Just because we have the biggest crowd doesn’t entitle us to win. We need a way of using the crowd to our advantage not inspiring to the opponents. Sadly the dull crap Butler has decided on sends us to sleep or keeps us away. Hoping to get a 1-0 worked for Tamworth it doesn’t work for us. We need to impose a threat that teams cant stop and gets our crowd driving us forward. Teams are not scared of us, rightly so on Butlers current approach. Until he realises we wont defend ourselves out of the league we will be here next season.

Unless he’s gone backwards along way in ability at least he can pass a ball. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him replace Roberts, (going for a fee in Jan no doubt) now he’s proved his fitness

How many more bumps before anything changes – same players doing the same things getting the same results and yet they are picked week after week. As Butler signed the players who are who not getting in or stepping up when they do – then what was he doing wasting the little money we have? We are a big club in this league – sadly the players don’t match the billing. And at present neither does the manager.

We need to build on the second half from last Tuesday and first half on Sat – WB have to be on the edge of the opposition box not sat on the edge of their own. Beeston and Roberts in midfield are a serious threat and cause problems for our opponents. Thays how we make team worry about us

Sorry but AB’s selection was set up not loose again, and ……
Boyce for Nicholson only logical change. When are we going to start imposing ourselves.
Curzon had no difficulty disposing of Chester yet we went to Chester looking for a draw. Not looking like Champs with this mind set

or the wing backs also go forward as well sit back and, are seen crossing a ball or even are in the opponents box receiving the cross. If Burrows/Denton wont/cant do this then replace them or the formation

Team today showing no imagination from Butler, seems he has fixed views on his players as well as formation. Well they better deliver on his blind loyalty! i don’t see it, all to comfy for me.

not sure how its a tougher league – small clubs coming up and teams coming down on a downward spiral. Weaker squad lets see them play first. I would suggest better mangers and Asst. Better feel at the club. i remain optimistic :-)

the problem last season was not the players – it was the manager. Hence two teams who on paper we had a better players than were promoted. The players at this level are much of a muchness. It comes down who has a plan than works, players that are fit and carrying out the plan, know how to work the poor refs we have each week. It helps that Butler seems to know this. The plus is that we still players who are a decent for this level. I remain optimistic

Is anyone saying keep JD as he is a good manager?
Those wanting to get rid – Awful pointless tap tap football, 45 mins of effort per week, not plan B even most times his plan A of 1 striker didn’t work, no game management – subs were poor, signings often not seen beyond a sub appearance, we had the best players yet it was like watching over 50’s walking football
Those to keep – we cant be horrible, who’ll come here (a lot would), be grateful it was only partial failure we came 2nd and still in NLN. Any one wanting to say any football reasons?

yes it is time to thank you and good bye. We all knew Beeston should be in central midfield. He’s the only midfielder who ever drives forward and gets in the box. Perfect eg just before he’s subbed he drives forward into the box from a central role, passed to Whitehall (could have chosen Roberts). That’s where he should have been playing from the start not Scales or Butterfield. Could have then at least one left footer on the left. But despite the evidence JD rather than take Scales or Butterfield off for McAlinden and move Beeston inside, he keeps it safe. Nice bloke but this job is beyond him.

Rare thing today a ref took their time over a decision and rightly didn’t send Whitehall off. He didn’t touch the players face despite him holding it. Linesman flagged for a tangle nothing more. Ref not great but for that decision full credit to him.

Another team that will rise to the occasion of playing the mighty Iron, the ref will no doubt support their efforts. Will our players put the effort it? Yes then we get a point and the JD Spennymoor interview, if not we get the JD Darlington interview. Don’t see us winning and Chorley pull further away.

whatever the financial implications of sacking JD (put him out of misery) they may be greater if we lose 1000 fans (£10/12 000, conservative estimate) over the remaining home games. I have ticket for Sat but if i didn’t why would want to come and failed to be entertained again. Not may from the Tamworth match will be back again. We have a club be grateful is a diminishing argument. JD is not maxing this team performances.

sadly i think you’re right – can only see defeat on Sat and crowds will not go over 3000 home fans again. Results are bad enough but the football is turgid

no one thought Beeston out wide was the right call and even worse to leave him on after the sending off. We gave them the initiative with that sub. Bring Whitehall on for Beeston or Wilson and go 4-3-2 show them even a man down we want to win this. Sorry but he isn’t winning play off either.

Why. Not unreasonable to expect more when we have a squad of FT professionals mostly taking on PT players, who when we play them at their place mange to raise their game and take points of us. Or surprise us by parking the bus at our arena. To date JD and the players have got off lightly

agree – someone blamed Covid for all our problems, which just gives everyone an excuses. Now its lets be grateful we’re in business, which doesn’t excuse performances like Sat or 2nd half v Boston. We are FT in a mainly PT league. Our players careers are from leagues above. Lets get focused and set out to dominate not react to our opponents. Sadly JD seems overawed by managering us as are the teams we play who are have their biggest game in years!

i doubt they will look for a draw but wont worry if they get one where as it looking like we’ll need a win if Sat results go against us. Really cant see Darlo stopping Tamworth.
