Just got my ticket from the club office for Saturday, according to the young lady behind the counter Peterborough Sports have purchased 30 tickets so far, let’s hope a few pay on the dayers turn up in the away end or else it will be very quiet in there 😴

The plan I believe was to turn over the wage bill ratio to favour the playing squad rather than other staff, so you’ve answered your own question in a way. Sorry Ferrite I was replying to your question but AA jumped in first.

As we know, goats will eat anything.
What’s on the match day menu?

Doesn’t matter, most fans will eat anything too 😂

Agreed JI, Pele and SNOT have a similar way of informing us about absolutely nothing while making out it’s earth shattering. In my book if you’ve nowt to say or you reckon you can’t say then stay stum and see if anything develops, which actually is all we can do anyway. It’s bollocks for bollocks sake IMO.

So we do have a reserve team after all?

Yep it’s called Ilkeston, see Patrick for details.

Let people take their own steak & kidney pie sandwiches, cheesy salted prawn crisps and flasks of bovriloxo.
It’ll not make any money but think of all the hassle saved.

Should stop complaints about the food, unless everyone else is shite at making sandwiches too.

Apparently when Nick toured he insisted on using just the one acoustic guitar and as his songs varied from one tuning to another this involved quite a bit of time retuning between certain songs. This in turn led to quite a bit of frustration in the audience and he used to get quite a bit of heckling at times which upset him as he was quite a sensitive soul. Strange, whenever I saw Neil Young live his acoustic set compromised of half a dozen different guitars on stands in a half circle shape around him, plus a banjo and a piano and pump organ either side of the stage, never missed a beat Neil and he had plenty of banter and stories to tell too which were always well received by the audience. It is an entertainment business after all.

Can’t believe it will soon be fifty years since we lost Nick Drake, super talented but ultimately a very fragile individual. Played in various tunings and I’m convinced he rarely changed his guitar strings because he had a very dead string sound to his music, beautifully crafted, beautifully written and performed. Such a tragic loss at just twenty six.

Hilton also said in that interview he couldn’t go into too many details because of the impending court case so we can make suggestions all we like, it doesn’t add up to much really. It is a very sad state of affairs for our football club which I’m sure we can all agree on.

Yep in Peterborough Cathedral, as far away from Henry as she could possibly get, in the circumstances.😂

I would hope any judge would take all considerations into account but in the end he will make a decision on what he believes is legally correct. It’s worth pointing out that does Ernest want to take possession of the ground and land just to let it stand empty for any amount of time to prove a point or has he got a buyer lined up or even has he already sold it? Either way it would seem a sensible outcome if the ground and land haven’t already been sold elsewhere in a deal that will come into play once the club is kicked out, that the club stay on paying monthly rent until a certain time as the whole site has been sold. A suitable notice period could then be worked out before the club vacates, either way does Ernest want to cut his nose off to spite his face? Seems rather silly if he does

Well that’s good news, I’m sure he mentioned he was his wife’s primary carer and I got the impression he wasn’t in the best of health himself. Wish the old lad well, though he’s probably my age.

Will the judge ask Hilton about his so called contingency plan if we get kicked out, if he hasn’t got one will the judge think twice about wrapping up a professional football club just into a new season and putting all those players and staff on the dole. It’s a big call whoever comes out on top.

England second best throughout which is disappointing after they overwhelmed China in the last game. Nigeria very powerful all over the pitch but their big game inexperience let them down particularly at the shoot out. Lauren James bang out of order and desrevedly sent off, hero to zero in ninety minutes, thats footy for ya.

Actually on reflection it was the early eighties, think John Duncan must have been manager in Mike Angus’s time.

Remember going in the early seventies to watch us grab a 1-0 away win, Mike Angus got the goal I believe, think he came on loan from somewhere and yes London Road was a bit of a throwback to an earlier age for football, haven’t been to Peterborough for years.

I remember Rochdale fans invading GP not that long ago after scoring a goal and I can’t remember if their club got fined, I just hope we can keep our noses clean with the authorities this season because it’s been a very tough time for our club, particularly in recent months

What the hell was all that about? Hacked or gone nuts? Either way, it’s done now. Blimey.

We certainly live in interesting times DM, despite our differences and the odd faux pas that comes all our way occasionally, I think we all have a certain amount of decency and respect for one another. Best to draw a veil over certain proceedings that were posted tonight from, I presume, a former forum member. Blimey indeed.

I’m not name dropping Siderite but that someone was me and I have asked insider several times to go to the press but he never responds he just evades the issue and yes WG well said he should go away and support another club or maybe he does already and that’s why he spends his time spreading his poison on here.

Being grossly abusive to the owner just about sums you up ironinsider on a day when our club kicks off its new season with three points. The majority on here since three this afternoon have been discussing on field matters, good and bad but just generally generating a massive sigh of relief that we still have a club playing football and that is down to David Hilton. You said our team wouldn’t wear a new kit, no new players would kick a ball for us and we wouldn’t play a game at Glanford Park, well, wrong wrong and wrong again. Why don’t you take your vitriol about our club and it’s owner and do one.

See how we do playing on grass next Saturday, a win is a win and it will take time to adapt but it’s a good start and plenty of food for thought for the management team. Well done guys 👏👏👏
