A young enthusiastic striker looking to make his way in the game and possibly prove a point to his last club is exactly what we need. Hopefully he will benefit hugely playing alongside Whitehall or Carlton at different times of the season and it’s a sign I believe of how the club will go in the coming years as they look to build a return to the football league . Welcome young man and the very best of luck.

Rather impressed with Rishi’s suicide mission surrounding the D Day anniversary, what a complete dick.

Is Poundshop Goldbridge doing a Euros special?

“This is who i think Southgate should pick for the euros. Allison, Alex..
    “Stu, Allison is Brazilian”
“Yeah, but he’s an adopted scouser la. You’ll never… Er, Up the Iron”

He’ll probably do a Trump and say he was being sarcastic.

Man U a perfect example about the money machine that is the Premiership, Glaziers must have thought they’d won the lottery becoming owners of one of the biggest names in world football. The Premiership made it easy for them to come and exploit the wealth making capacity of Man U for their own financial ends. Borrowed a lot of money in the clubs name then creamed off loads of profit every year whilst the rest went on paying back the clubs loans, no wonder the Manc fans detest them, very clever capitalists the Glaziers, make loads of money while Old Trafford falls apart around the fans ears, nice.

You can always tell it’s close season when the over sensitivity and apparent lack of sense of humour kick in.

Was that the season Duncan started as manager and Clarke finished as manager? Won at Chester on last day to seal the deal.

An evening in Hartlepool on our 42nd wedding anniversary!

Should I tell Mrs NI now or on the day?

Don’t tell her now, you might not make it to your 42nd anniversary!!!!

This issue well cleared up by Michelle in her latest interview.

I’ve not been able to listen to it all, yet, but I did catch the first couple of minutes. She also cleared up what Elliott has put into the club, financially. He paid for some training kit.

Bloody hell he’ll be applying to the Vatican for a sainthood after buying that training kit.

Where they do the interviews is an echo chamber, the interview rambled.

Basically they will all be fit – well those here will be pending 2 offers to be accepted or rejected. Certainly JD was repetitive, blamed the same things every time. Did feel sorry for him, was obviously out of his depth.

    AB is growing on me

Don’t say that, Apollo 11 will say we have a mumbling fungus running the team!!!!!

I have never seen the Iron play well with 3 centre backs but I have only been watching for 50 years.

Given that at least 80% of the time last season we faced 1 up front why on earth would we want to play 3 centre backs?

Chris Hope, Russ wilcox and Richard Logan?

Aye he’ll have forget about them plus he probably also forgot to say that in 50 years of watching he only attended 50% of the time. Lol

Fantastic news, I’m guessing there will be some more investment coming through when the time is appropriate. No more big time Charlie’s no more ” my club” crap from previous owners, the club is in it’s safest space ownership wise for a long long time, nice one.

I’d rather have a mumbler than a scratcher who probably should never have been hired in the first place, let’s give Andy some slack eh, we gave Jimmy plenty and we’ve not kicked a ball in anger yet under Butler, if he gives us attacking winning football and gets us promoted he can mumble all he likes for me.

I’m basing it on the claim made by his wife, that at least one of the offers was only a touch above minimum wage. In light of the amount of attention this topic has received I’m sure Andy would have refuted this if it wasn’t true and I don’t see any reason that Butterfield (or his Mrs) would need to lie?

“Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned”, no evidence based facts here and you well know it, you could just move on but something is obviously keeping you banging on about it, wonder what that could be!!!

Always find it strange why a person or spouse of a person would discuss actual details of their renumeration even down to a percentage cut basis. That would only, as it has here, lead to speculation based on no actual evidence to what Butterfield had been earning and what he could have lost by signing a new deal. Better just to say a new contract could not be agreed between both parties and they are going their separate ways. Don’t think Mrs Butterfield will be on social media discussing how much more her husband will be earning at his new club but you never know. Very strange behaviour IMO.

“We’re going to create a lot of chances this season, like we did last season, but with two centre forwards on the pitch, I think we’ll score more.”

Aye, not rocket science is it?

Apparently it was to JD last season.

Shame a previous manager did not think like that.

A previous manager was over cautious to the point of negativity, it cost us promotion and him his job

Speculation is one thing – but there’s been rather too much blame floating about based on too little certainty.
How do people manage to take sides so easily?

Because a lot of them are full of sh**.

Think our style of play will be different next season and Butterfield maybe doesn’t suit that brief, expect more channel balls hit early and two up top as a regular formation also another winger to go with Roberts and plenty of balls whipped in from out wide. Yes I know we have Jason Law but both him and Roberts will have time out with injury, think that’s a given.

These players leaving aren’t a mega surprise considering the money they would have been on and how we have to budget accordingly in our current situation compared to irresponsibly budgeting under the previous regime in charge. Old saying but some people literally have to ” wake up and smell the coffee” we still have a football club to support next season and that is the most important detail here.

People suggesting Hilton is coming on here and stirring the pot should ask themselves why he would waste time bothering and, more importantly, from where he’d even get any new intimate information on Boardroom activity?

I mean, he MIGHT come on here and stir it up… The big point is, where would he get fresh Boardroom information from (working on the assumption it is true / correct)?

Maybe the old brown tongued big head is passing stuff on, who knows.

Cant be that many Ironawe, the numbers haven’t increased to allow the jackpot prize to rise like they said it would do.
I joined for 2 draws saw they couldn’t be arsed to promote it more, so i cant be arsed to give them my money.

You may well be right about the numbers being low, I was just reckoning if every adult season ticket holder set up a debit for a tenner a month into the draw it could well bring in around £10,000 a month, it’s regular income for the club and you don’t miss £120 a year unless your really struggling financially in which case you probably wouldn’t be a season ticket holder anyway. In some cases the difference between buying a season ticket plus the monthly draw fee or paying game by game over a season wouldn’t be that much more.

Not sure what the current numbers are but contributing a tenner a month into the club draw would be a good way for fans to contribute extra much needed income.
