We have been talking down sizing for awhile now but it’s such a balls ache just thinking about it all, I usually pour myself another glass of malt and just carry on as normal.
You would think the Mancs are due an improvement next season with all their blustre and money but it has been highly amusing watching them fail so spectacularly once again.
I usually say to cold callers on the phone, ” have you heard this one before it was number one back in 1965 for the Byrds “, then start singing Mr Tambourine Man to them. If they last the Byrds shortened version, two minutes fifteen seconds, I then stat singing the Dylan version which has more verses and last over five minutes. Nobody has lasted the full term yet
Money talks. Just ask Dave.
Certainly worked for Neil Diamond.
Jordan Hallam!!!! How many games this season? Must be the unluckiest player around, decent when fit.
Put Jordan and Luke Williams in the same category, very talented but just can’t stay fit. Think there must be a certain type of player whose bodies just can’t withstand the rigours of professional or semi professional football, always felt sorry for both lads.

Robert’s and Whitehall feeling the love!
Would that perhaps tempt them to stay?
No it’s money that will tempt them to stay, we can’t stay in this surreal moment forever reality and the numbers game will kick in very soon
Think now he’s into his stride there is a lot more to come from him next season. The look on his face when he scored the winner was priceless he appears to really love playing for the club, always a good sign IMO.
Think Whitehall along with Roberts and obviously Fitz will be gone, finding suitable replacements on less money won’t be easy but there will be some out there and you would think Schofield will be able to help Andy out with contacts, he’s been around the game forever that bloke.
Talking about work, James Moody when interviewed by Gareth on the pitch yesterday looked like he hadn’t slept for a month, he looked absolutely knackered the lad, hope he gets a break in before next season or he’ll be virtually comatose, lad must put some hours in over and beyond the call.
Gave them a day off after the semi another today, are we sure the club are stuck for cash?
but they don’t normally work on a Sunday
Makes you wonder if Awaywego ever was a shop steward, sorry shop stupid, to get his title right.
Gareth on IronArmy wished Fitz all the best in his career after his short interview on the pitch after yesterday’s match, he’s going and has been for awhile, wish him all the best and thank him for all those clean sheets.
Packing them in now Ironawe while I can.
Aye you do right lad your a long time dead, I’m away next month myself.

Don’t know what you’ve been watching it’s bin terrible... bin watching same as you but in the end he’s done what JD couldn’t and he’s done what much beleaguered RW last did, get us promoted, now clear off and enjoy your holiday you moaning old git.

… anyway Methuselah as I was just saying….
Gave them a day off after the semi another today, are we sure the club are stuck for cash?
Well your not you’ve just cleared off on holiday ya rich get
I want never gets, didn’t your Mam teach you anything?
This is how I interpreted it, too.
I think, though, that the aim will be to at least survive with finishing mid-table considered a good achievement.
I think finishing mid – table will be a good achievement, we still need the fanbase to buy into that and keep turning up in numbers, still a long way to go for our football club.
WG accusing someone else thinking their right all the time must be the most ironic post this year, lol

Reckon it could be shut today mate after yesterday’s late finish, quite right too, try again tomorrow and keep basking in that promotion glory you have till Friday with the cheap rate deal on season tickets.
Aye that incompetent young manager who should have been gone by Christmas according to some on here has just steered our team to promotion, who would have thunk it? Nice one Andy.
Well it’s all about opinions but why the hell would you get rid of Beestin?

After all that boom boom boom boom at the last two home games I think I will pass on the free tickets thanks, I’ve heard enough already, lol.
Perhaps it was a young manager in his first serious managerial role learning on the job and adjusting accordingly, the guy has done what Jimmy Dean couldn’t he has got us promoted, time to cut him some slack and just say ” thanks Andy “.

Michelle said on Humberside after the match when asked about next season that AB has a budget to see us around mid table next term. I can live with that, anybody who thinks we are suddenly going to throw mega money around and storm away at the top of the National League maybe have got a little too passionate and promotion drunk after yesterday, let’s keep it real people.
Eze scored another cracker after a trade mark Palace move catching City on the break. After that in truth it was backs against the wall for Palace as they got battered but defended resolutely and deserved their win because City didn’t create that much. Henderson pulled off some good saves aswell as the penalty stop but in truth he should have been sent off but the officials ( again ) made a balls up of a basic refereeing decision, chuffed for Palace though.
Refreshed or rusty through lack of match practice. Can’t deny the latter is a thing, but they simply have to be up and at it from the off.
…and as I said to Rene in an earlier post all this stuff applies to Chester too, best not to overthink things just for the sake of it IMO.
They will have been doing all that shite Rene stop worrying about jack sh** FFS and chill out .

The 2 week layoff is a worry for me.
Must be a worry for Chester fans too I’m guessing?
We have won games without Roberts and this is no different, yes he’s a massive miss but if we lose we can’t use his absence as an excuse, we will have either played badly on the day or didn’t turn up, we’ve done both before with Roberts playing.
Was that picture taken just after he’d driven his car through the wall on Grange Lane South ?
