I’ll settle for Southgates last three results being repeated by Cox for us when the season starts.
Comedy Gold Cass, you doing the Edinburgh Fringe this year?
Pity McMahon isn’t coming in as a replacement for the club clown Cox!!
Hmm!
Ten games in, Cox and Lillis sacked, McMahon given manager’s job with new U18s coach as assistant.
Method in the madness?
Hmm!
Scunny still relegated at end of season, McMahon sacked.
That sounds about right to me, also sounds familiar, sacking managers ad nauseam I mean.June 29, 2021 at 1:55 pm in reply to: For the first time in my life I am jealous of the Cods #209399TBF it’s a nice little article about values and bygone times, little rose tinted specs but full of good sentiment and intentions. In truth the model of the club being proposed is the one all lower league clubs should be urged to adopt if they are too survive and it’s not the first time this thing has been tried or mooted. Lincoln are making a pretty good fist of things and seem intent on bringing the community on board, others are following suit and have been for awhile. Whether these guys succeed at GTFC remains to be seen but the idea is right and certainly our current owner seems as distant as ever about wanting such a model at SUFC. Talk is cheap Prawn, actions count, the Grimsby guy is certainly talking the talk ( we’ve had plenty of that in the last 8 years ) but he will be judged by his actions long term. If he pulls it off good luck to him, despite it being our local rivals, every decent sized town deserves a community based football club, it’s still the heart of who we all are, it’s the people’s game, it brings us closer together.

Logistically Bradford should always have a bigger budget then us, it was only Swanns early days spending blitz that saw us outbid Bradford for certain players a few seasons back, McCall said as much on an ” open night meeting ” when he was here. No-one is going to slam Swann for putting the brakes on budget wise from his early days but he appears to have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous and it’s entirely his own fault for his scattergun approach when he first arrived. A Wharton style Chairmanship would have been a more sensible approach, you know, the old guy that ran us ” like a hobby ” but of course Wharton never jumped in with both feet then knicked the ground ownership when he had fu***d up. Good old days anybody?

TBF to McMahon he was a good defender when he was here if a little hot headed at times ( remember Rochdale away anybody? ) so if he coaches in training like he used to play, we may have half a dozen injured before we kick a ball in anger this coming season. 😂
Gilliead signs for Bradford, thought he was aiming for an higher league?
He will be after next season, no surprise if they go up next term.
Get on with it, Mick! (Double your usual stake!)
Bloody hell les, 20p might be pushing it a bit for mick on his pension.

Neil Cox- ” Hey Tony fancy filling in at full back/ right wing / midfield / etc etc this season. Think we might be a few players light “.
Tony McMahon – ” What the f**k, I came here to put my feet up like the rest of your coaching staff “!!! 😂

See the OWS is just reminding us all that season tickets are on sale, well how could we possibly forget. With such a plethora of new wonderful players already signed up for next season, how could any reasonable person not cash in and get signed up for a ticket straight away. Wow, I’m so excited about the wonderful team we will be privileged to watch next season, better get one now folks because they are selling like hot cakes. 😂😂😂

As long as there is something to report on Dull City, Humberside will be satisfied its doing it’s job correctly.
Yes, does it still have the same smell?
Reeks of pure Prawn to me.
I’m guessing Clarke will be on a pay as you play contract, his injury record is so poor no club with any sense would consider anything else. Agree with DSGM that centre back would be the sensible option for Clarke now injury prevention wise and he turned in some half decent displays when playing in that position for us. McGahey suffered with hamstring problems whilst here and that can be a long term issue for players once it occurs, be interesting to see how he gets on with that next season.
….and don’t forget NI all this under the Chairmanship of the man who stated that the previous owner had been running the club ” as a hobby “. Don’t remember the club being £11million in debt and not owning its own ground under the previous owner, just remember several promotions, a few trips to Wembley and three seasons in the Championship. Not bad for an old fella running the club as a hobby, you paying attention Prawn?

Of course it’s relegation next season, family jewels stashed away in the Coolsilk locker, no budget, no squad, no interest. Being successful on the field isn’t part of the bigger picture and hasn’t been for several seasons now.

England are in the right side of the draw now so I take Ferrites point, maybe not a bye if we beat Germany but apart from Denmark who could come unstuck against Wales the others aren’t anything to write home about. Tournament football is notoriously unpredictable however, watch out for Sweden. 😲
Where is he, he seems to have disappeared the last few weeks.
He’ll be horsing around somewhere.
Big Joke won’t have talking bollocks, not since his operation anyway. I’m guessing he/she will be a size 18 now.
Have you ever been to a football match ferrite?, Cos your talking bollocks.
Coming from you Awaywego that is hilarious. 😂

Or maybe the Prawns thinking, ” fans, don’t need as many as before now the budget is zilch “.
That lass of yours knew what she was doing NI, unlike the rest of us mugs. 😂

Paid online but what happens now as they took me to paypal and I paid but I have not given my name or anything
E-mail the Trust and explain what’s happened, I’m sure it can be sorted, I paid cash back in the day at Trust corner. That’s going back a bit now.
Not got the app?
Never knew there was one, had my bonds years and have always received winnings in cheque form through the post. Looked at reviews on Google play after your post and most say the app is crap and often crashes.
Expect a letter in the post later this week I-A!
I hope it’s from the premium bond people saying I’ve won this month’s main prize. Yippeeee.
Think the Prawn is budgeting for a 2000 crowd break even figure for next season now he has the ground nicely stashed away in his development vault. No interest to pay on the written off 11 million quid debt HE incurred means he wants no more money frittering away on players we can’t afford. He will keep his money safe now and wait for the inevitable as we tumble into non league and beyond, then when its finally all done and all fan interest is spent then and only then will he cash in.

I’ve said all along its Yosemite Sam we are signing as goalkeeper for next season, with his two six guns and that fearsome moustache no player will go near our goal. Scary stuff coming folks!!!! Yes it’s called RELEGATION.
Best display out of the three ( know it’s not saying much but… ) thought Saka played well and Grealish must start every game if fit, he’s the one player who can deliver that bit of unexpected magic all teams need. The facts look better then what we’ve seen, played 3 won 2 drawn 1 points 7, 2 goals scored, none conceded. Bet ” passionate, brave Scotland ” would have settled for that. We do get fed some shite about the Scots in the media, they weren’t bloody good enough and 5 goals conceded, 1 scored and 1 point from 9 tells us all that. Get over yourselves Jocks and close the door on your way OUT.

Well if you have some of those mentioned round your place Gurny I’ll just drop by and sample some for free if that’s ok 😂. I can bring a bottle of malt whisky as part recompense if you like.
Yeah spot on f row crew, been a lifelong member several years and yes they do some great work supporting the fans voice and getting in the Prawns face. The more the merrier and if people believe things aren’t right at GP just don’t moan about it on here, join the trust and help them swell the membership which gives us all a greater voice when they meet the chairman and ” board ” to put relevant points to them regarding how the Iron is run.
Thought you would have mentioned that in your first post, see how confusing a lack of information can be? Right so what have you said on SUFC twitter, I’m sure people on here will be fascinated to know.
