I’m planning for next season in NL.
The Netherlands?
Numbnuts Land?, oops sorry he’s living there already.
Should have done better in his transfer window 😂😂😂
I’m sure his favourite teddy will retain pride of place. 🐻
Will you be polling the supporters this Saturday Alcy?
Practising alliteration instead. Poo pooing polling, pulling pecker perhaps 🤔
I don’t know DM, just a pack of bloody dogs mate. 🐕😠
….or Darlington. Rushden & Diamonds anyone?
Alternatively we could be like Hartlepool. Trying to be positive. :-)
The Darlo quote was merely stating how long term football league teams can struggle or even fall further then one tier down if you are owned by incompetent people. I believe Darlo’s problems began when a former jailbird took them over and had big ideas above the club’s capabilities that involved actually building a brand new ground they could not afford and it all went tits up. The Rushden mention was referring to what happens when the money runs out and the club folds. Don’t forget GP is ripe for redevelopment and it doesn’t have to be anything to do with football either. People who build up debts due to mismanagement often look for another way to recoup their losses with all previous ventures often the victim.

Yeah maybe Cass but I don’t write off young players because of the odd mistake or odd poor game, it happens to youngsters. Grant you Millen has improved of late but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s shown the door in May. We just need better then him but of course our budget next season will be £500,000 less won’t it, so maybe like relegation we will continue to have to accept the dross that comes with it.

Shit happens ( even if it happens most weeks for the Iron ) move on.
I think as Nuttall gets fitter and plays for longer in the match he has the ability to hold the ball up, we have seen glimpses of this already. The point les makes about Burns and Nuttall forming a partnership up top is vital if we are to create more up front and take the pressure off the defence. It won’t be easy but if the quality of balls into the front two improve we could be in with a shout today for a point. Delaney has improved the back four but Keith will also need to get his tactics spot on from what is a difficult fixture.
Prefer young Matheson TBH to Millen, I think he has more energy and is more of an asset but Millen on Tuesday night was an improvement on Millen against Oldham. I just think he’s not consistent enough but I guess that’s the lack of quality issue again.

All four you mentioned MK are playing the fitness game as is Grant but they are better alternatives to the ones we shipped out, Davies, Kenyon! No thanks! I’m glad they are here and I trust Hills judgement.

Nineties TV series about an ape/human clone. Escaped from its cell and murdered all its captors and scientific types who were studying it, nice. They killed it.
I thought after the poor start we were looking to get more on the front foot as the game wore on, don’t forget Walsall also cleared an effort off the line late in the first half but the sending off changed things. We had no choice but to adapt a more defensive strategy when down to ten men and bearing in mind fitness levels are still far from ideal I thought we managed the second half well. We rode our luck at times but most teams would in the same situation we found ourselves in last night, a good battling win.

Like the majority view a terrible 30 minutes where we were so lacking cohesion all over the park it was embarrassing. Defensively panicky and just kicking balls anywhere which is just forgivable. Better after the goal, great free kick from Millen who I panned last game but as a full back he still leaves a lot to be desired. Nice finish from Rowe and for me second half he along with Grant and Burns were the standouts. Burns ran himself into the ground for the cause and to he looks a real find who should link up well with Nuttall or Pyke in time. Grant is a clever wily old fox, he won us five precious free kicks second half by controlling the ball in midfield and basically saying to Walsall ” come on come and foul me “, fantastic experience, him and Feeney look like clever acquisitions to me, bit more fitness into them and they will be pure gold for us.

Never thought I would say this Les but I do miss the Berkley.
I loved the Berkley, my favourite pub in town really. If you class it as being “in town”.
Yep, no tv or music blaring in your lugs, just a pub full of football banter pre match and a decent pint.

Is the Berkeley gonna be refurbished as was suggested some time ago?
Refugee hotel isn’t it going to be? Should cheer all the right wingers up ( not the football ones ).
Think your right les but Dickie Rooks runs him a close second.

….and your points raised regarding you only watching seven minutes of highlights were addressed and corrected by people who were there so you don’t need to remind the forum again about your previous attendance record over the years and your age, we know all this as you repeat it ad nauseam. One thing doesn’t change over the years your tendency to not read or absorb posts that are intended to inform and even possibly educate you on about what actually went on during a game you failed to attend for whatever reason, commented falsely on and made inaccurate comments on as a result. You can’t have it both ways, if you don’t attend and don’t watch on I-follow then shut up about things you couldn’t possibly know about.

The mask of honesty is still a mask.
Well I guess we will have to wait for this year’s accounts, my guess is rent free.
It’s after this year that worries me.

There you are NLI they don’t own the ground and pay handsomely to play in it,and we are playing rent free at the moment until we make profit.
….well that’s the version the Prawn is touting at the moment but you know what his track record is on delivering what he says he’ll do.

We’ve taken 2000 plus to different places in our pomp, Sheffield Utd springs to mind and outsung their fans, It’s what away fans in volume do because they are all invariably crammed into one side of the ground and if it’s behind the goal it’s usually very impressive the amount of noise generated. The atmosphere was brilliant Saturday because of them, unfortunately for us the result wasn’t.
Aye it’s always been a roller coaster ride watching Scunny but we enjoyed most of it in the comfort of our own ground. Awaits banal aimless response ” whoever owns the club owns the ground ” and blah blah blah.

I’ll join you for a drink in that Walsall saloon MK but I’ll be clutching at straws not drinking through them.

Let’s be right guys Cox got the people’s vote because he was an ex player and local lad who had done well professionally in the game as a player. We all wanted him to succeed because of his history with both town and club and that’s why he got the benefit of the doubt for so long. Keith Hill is not above criticism nor should he be but the records of the two men mangership wise are miles apart. Hill is the more experienced better professional manager, he like any good manager needs space and time and good fully fit players to improve us. At the minute the new players early on look better picks than those Cox brought in( or cygnet ) but need time to gel as a unit and above all get bloody match fit. These aren’t issues Hill can wave a magic wand at and they will disappear overnight it’s gonna take time which unfortunately we don’t have. It is what it is guys, suck it up and carry on.

Wasn’t that unbeaten run under Wilcox some kind of record, what was it, 28 games or something?
