More importantly, is this a hint that Swanny’s going to be doing ‘My Way’ in the centre circle before he goes?

” Tears of a Clown ” would be more appropriate.😭

All fair points JI but there is a

    d) don’t attempt a new style of security strategy without running it past the people who run the club, or you may find, as in this case, you are told to not use that method again.

At this moment in time nothing has changed except Swann stood down as Chairman.
Turnbull is an employee of the Club that Swann owns plus owning everything else.
Got out so he does nt have to face the consequences of his policies when we get relegated in a couple of weeks.
Relegation will not be on his CV !

It will be on his CV as far as Iron fans are concerened, when Fenty stood down as Cods chairman but still remained the owner he received even more vitriol than before for sulking in the shadows. This guys legacy wont be forgotten and he will escape 0% of the blame for what has happened to OUR club.

I’m guessing Lee is taking charge of chairman’s duties till further notice which lets hope means new owners are waiting in the wings. Bulldozers moving in come May will show where the latest North Lincs housing estate is being built.

The players should be ‘attacking the DRE’ (ha) in the 2nd half, so it should be quite noticeable when it happens.

The cameras will definitely be facing the Railway End in that case!

Don’t think the media cameras will and Humberside will deffo be talking about it which means Burnsy will be discussing it on his Monday show live to the county.

The security firm should refuse to cover any of our games.

Yep correct they should be binned by the club, there is no need for handcuffs unless the Police deem them necessary and in football grounds they have never needed to be used and don’t need using now. The club sets the agenda for the firm’s they employ as matchday security and if the firm employed cannot conduct themselves as instructed they should be kicked out and get some proper professionals in to do the job as requested properly.

Mr Wharton will be appalled at the toxic atmosphere surrounding our football club,I know he can’t turn back time but I’m sure he bitterly regrets selling the club to the current owner. What would Steve’s late father think of it all I dread to think, they are and were Scunthorpe United through and through, this guy is nothing like them in deed or spirit.

Don’t care who he is or what he’s been if a member of his staff handcuff another fan in the ground then the club should kick them out due to not carrying out their duties in the way the club has requested. End of.

Well Richard Short let’s hope you have heeded the announcement of the people who employ you and your staff on match day at Scunthorpe United FC who have stated on their own website that such an occurrence of a member of the public being handcuffed within the ground will not happen again. If it does happen expect your contract at Scunthorpe United FC to be terminated as you will be in breach of the club owners wishes. Your company may well face prosecution as a result of such action IMO.

It is a FACT, chopping and changing managers on a regular basis has not worked and coupled with Swann’s budget cuts is the reason we are in this mess. If Hill stays as he said he will and Swann is happy with this and at the moment he seems to be then we should all get on with it. Moaning and groaning about changing the manager again seems pointless and extremely negative when we consider what’s happened manager wise since Alexander’s departure and where we are now compared to then. Eat it up and swallow it down guys, Hill needs supporting I hope he stays for as long as it takes to start turning things round. My hope is Swann is gone ASAP and the new owners back Hill 100%, I just hope Hill will remain if new owners come in.

It’s progress MK that a black guy is allowed to become successful through his talent and acquire wealth as a result but black or white are not above the law, if they are then that is a regression in acceptable behaviour.

Apologies for going off piste, but did you think Will Smith actually connected with Chris Rocks face, very John wayneish Imo.

Unless they dubbed on the slap noise later, after all it is the film industry we are talking about. Spot the difference, ordinary Joe attempts a punch ( we are led to believe ) misses get gets thrown out of a public place in handcuffs. Mega celebrity slaps another celebrity in public place, walks off stage then returns twenty minutes later to receive an Oscar for his excellent work in the film industry.
Same old story, one law for the poor another for the wealthy.
Smith should have been arrested and taken into custody by the Police for assault, instead he got an Oscar.

The players sold in the window were sold to bring money into the club plain and simple. Hill would have known this on arrival and he did say on radio at the time it was in the best financial interests of the club. Look Hill won’t be happy about about how certain aspects have panned out since his arrival and I’m sure he did not what Loft or Hippo to leave but it’s the direction financially the chairman has been steering the club since his budget cuts began three seasons ago so he has to get on with the situation. Hill has said he is planning for next season and rebuilding the side and whilst all fans are unhappy with where we are heading, the financial situation under this chairman meant we were going out the league long before Hill arrived. He’s an experienced manager compared to the last guy and we need to give him time over the close season to try and rebuild a squad to be competitive next season and time next season to get on with the job. Yes we are all disgruntled but calling for an experienced manager to go without giving him time with a reduced budget next season to do his best is not where we need to go right now. We are down guy’s and that’s all there is to it, Peter Swann has seen to that not Keith Hill IMO.

There will be a reason marty303 why ex managers have not spoke about their situation whilst managing the Iron, mostly financial and the clauses that were put in place to secure their final packages upon leaving. Most people will in truth just count their money, say stuff em and move on with their lives and next job. We should always remember we as fans are passionately engaged for life with our football club and what goes on and how it’s run, to most former managers and players it was just another job in their careers, despite what they spout to the website and media whilst they are here.

We are going out the league anyway, he won’t be on thin ice over that and I’m not sure that’s what S11D meant, that’s why I asked him.

Yep correct, the buck finally stops with the man running the whole show, UTI doesn’t want his Dad to accept responsibility. Wonder who taught him that when he was growing up?

If the board disapprove of the use of handcuffs being used then why wasn’t this message delivered to the stewards\ security staff before the situation occurred? They should have been aware they were being carried, plenty of supporters knew. Ridiculous situation on Saturday, only Police should be carrying handcuffs as they are the only people who professionally know when to use and also fit them correctly to avoid injury, not sure our shower of green and orange vested stewarding crew can do that. Some of their actions over several years haven’t exactly inspired the home following with confidence in their ability to carry out their duties fairly or professionally. Think the board have only announced this statement because the clamour over Saturday’s events were only going to get louder and more public.
