As long as he can defend and can get forward to deliver a cross or two into the box from fullback now and again I don’t give a toss if he doesn’t score. Well we were still a championship ( division two then of course ) club , didn’t drop out of the league a few seasons later and still owned our own ground after selling Barrie Thomas so I believe there is no comparison between the disdain felt for Mr Wharton senior and the current owner.
