Nobody is getting a free pass just because the law does not see your examples quoted as worthy of investigation. You probably got your angle on them from a certain style of media you regard as accurate, that is your prerogative but just to remind you JI the FBI is headed up by a Republican and I’m sure if he felt there was reason to investigate others you have portrayed as worthy of that then his agents would have done so. Just follow the facts not right wing media, you know it makes sense that any serious wrong doing by a Democrat worthy of investigation would have been done. That’s how the law works I believe. Follow the facts not the conspiracy theory.

In between the leg pull and banter JI that the majority enjoy on here I think you will note that several facts about Trump and this particular incident about him being served with a search warrant to enter his house in Florida are actually true and a matter of law enforcement. You mention a political angle yet produce no evidence, this in itself has more than a hint of conspiracy theory from you. Just be honest about the situation but your last response is your traditional place of refuge on several things discussed over the years when you cannot really argue against facts. This is happening to Trump for a lawful legal reason and if you had taken in the tone of his Presidency and his reaction since losing power legitimately then you would be honest enough to admit the current situation surrounding him. Some guy from the right wing of politics in the USA has f****d up big time and it appears to be as a result of his own ego and never wanting to be proved wrong. Surely this is apparent to you? Go on be genuine about things.

A second win on Saturday means we have won our first two league games with a lightweight squad that won’t see out the season without more additions and soon. Nothing more nothing less can be gleaned from winning the first two league games IMO.

Now Trump pleads the fifth amendment in the case of his business dealings in New York today as is his legal right. However the Donald has stated in the past that he doesn’t understand why people ” take the fifth ” they should just answer truthfully, could you make it up? Actually the Donald can but on this occasion declined, I wonder why. 😂

The guy currently heading the FBI was appointed by Trump and you have not a shred of evidence to back up your claim that what is happening to Trump is just politically driven, if so then produce it. Nobody knows what the outcome of this search warrant executed at Trumps gaff will produce, if anything but the FBI will have had a very good reason to investigate based on information received. Don’t forget that Trump is fighting on several legal fronts right now based on fraud, attempting to get Georgia to overturn its election results personally ( that telephone call which if you have not heard is deffo worth a listen ) and his tax returns have finally been given the green light to be investigated after a massive legal fight by Trump to stop it. Just to remind you that Trump is the first president ever to not release his tax returns since they became the subject of public scrutiny many years ago. It’s all about transparency and when you are at the top you have to be seen to be that, plus if the guy has nothing to hide then what is the issue? Regarding Hunter Biden, who has never been president and never run the USA, I’m not sure of the point you are making JI, if the relevant authorities think he has commited a law breaking act and have evidence to pursue him on that evidence then they will act but he is a member of the public not a member of the USA goverment.

Yes but more interesting for me is that it’s another first for a former president who is fighting legal cases on several fronts whilst still hosting rallies for his cult following and telling multiple lies live on the tv channels that still choose to broadcast them. All very interesting and for me another example of his narcissistic personality which appears to control his entire life, wonder where it will all end up for him?

It was a great start but we need more players to sustain it, more importantly we need new owners and the old one gone ASAP, nowt long term will change until SWANN IS GONE.

That is excellent by the club, let’s hope CCTV ( if they have it ) will provide enough evidence for prosecution and hopefully the ultimate sanction of a lifetime ban from the Blyth ground for those window smashing morons.

I did not follow it so long ago but a lot of political speakers in the US say it goes as far back as Reagan, that’s when the real rot set in for the GOP and at least when Nixon turned out to be a crook back in the 70’s, the Republicans in Congress were on the verge of booting him out till he resigned. If you see some of the Trump supporters being interviewed at some his rallies, the ignorance and lack of a basic sense of right and wrong and just common sense and decency is quite astonishing, yet these are the people he will not have time for in reality.

It’s a bit too conspiratorial for my liking. Some of the stuff is nonsense, but I don’t think there’s a fiendish plan to distract. Fox News, and similar awful outlets, see it as a money maker.

Well thats putting it mildly and yes Fox is all about making money at the expense of decent journalism. The Trump fanbase is such a cult now that anything he says or does is fine by them and Fox until recently supported him still regardless, that has changed in recent weeks with Ron De Santis and even Mike Pence getting more coverage at the expense of Trump. How long that will last is anyones guess but Trump is fuming with Fox because they are ignoring him more then he wants, he hates being ignored, it is not the narcissist way to be ignored.

After the acceptance of the fan led review in its entirety do you really think the government would turn tail at the first crisis? I don’t, fair enough if there was no buyer out there but there is. Let’s not forget they’ve been there before for the people of Scunthorpe when Greybull walked away. Ps they also gave a non existent club a million to help them out. They are not the big bad bogey man FFS.

Hope your right Awaywego, i am just a little hesitant based on the track record of the outgoing PM who has told so many lies and performed so many u turns that I will wait and see what his replacement is like.

….or just democracy in general since the odious lying Trump appeared on the scene. America is in danger of becoming a future dictatorship unless the GOP get their fingers out and start concentrating on promoting policies instead of conspiracy theories. You need to have a good look at how some of the media in the USA operate to see how unbelievably bad the situation is becoming. Land of the free? Maybe not for too much longer if certain factions get in power and stay there.

Not that long ago when the cods and Blunderside fell out and the cods ended up on the awful compass fm. They managed to get back in again eventually so it’s either mega arse licking or just some simple common sense on both sides needed. Football and the media need each other, it really is as simple as that, just get on with it and put differences behind you.

WG I was responding to the point raised by marty303 about the desire for a local rag back in town, no doubt the Max Bell affair is a good bet why the Telegraph has spat it’s dummy out over not sanctioning a new deal. It’s a sad situation because every local link the club can forge with the towns contributors is worth pursuing, unfortunately in this case the divide appears vast in one particular camp.

Not enough sales in Scunny to justify two offices, if Scunny had a combined population of 135,000+ like Grimsby/ Cleethorpes then the paper would be based here. Just another sign of the times in modern day Britain.

Ah Dear Prudence, will she ever come out to play?

The Beatles or Siouxsie and the Banshees?

    Beatles, no contest IMO.
