The unions have still got massive support and sympathy actually and as for the Government, they lose more credibility by the day due to their intransigence. Mega shit coming down the line in the New Year.

Togger was knocking about when I was a kid in the sixties and we used it occasionally but when my mates came round it was usually ” are you coming out for a game of footie ” or even ” a kick about “. Honestly, hardly ever heard football referred too as soccer, must be an age thing but I know the Yanks always use it, that’s enough for me to rule it out.

So sad to hear about the abuse he suffered as a child, I didn’t know about that till today. He did wonderfully well to lose himself in music but the treatment of some people when they were younger leaves them terribly marked for life. What the hell is wrong with the world?

Soccer has only become used more widely as a term to describe football ( footy ) because they call that oval shaped ball carrying game that they play dressed in body padding and helmets in America ” football “. Football came about because it’s a game primarily played with the feet, how American football can be described as such has always amused me but of course when America says something the rest of the world seem to obligingly fall into line. Personally I think when Americans refer to football as soccer during discussions or during commentary they should be told to either call the game football or shut TFUp. Button it Yanks. 😂

A real shame, there were many fine songs but Ghost Town was epic and so relevant to its time. Our Lips Are Sealed was another personal favourite, thanks Terry you will be missed.

There were a few in here that estimated the land value to be much less than £10k a few years ago. Not sure what evidence they had of that though. Think it was all guesswork.

I’m guessing it will go hand in hand with new investment. I’ll rephrase that. I’m hoping it will go hand in hand with new investment, which wont happen till u know who has gone.
