I really don’t understand this issue people have with trying to differentiate between fullbacks and wingbacks.I personally expect full backs in a 4-4-2 to vecapable of going past the midfield and putting a ball in.Footballers nowadays are far too micromanaged

Marples chinned a player in front of the Burnley fans when we still had fences up,1st game of a loan spell.

If I remember rightly the year Marples got sent off we dragged Nigel batch out of the pub at Barnetby he was running in order to play our 1st game of the season away at Gillingham ,he certainly got sent off

The days of unearthing gems are long gone for most smaller clubs . I’ve found it incredible how many people I know with kids have them signed on or training with clubs .It’s this scattergun approach by bigger clubs that is skilling the chance for the Iron to unearth someone . It’s sad for the kids too as they have little chance of signing terms for these clubs and then leave football disillusioned when maybe they could have had careers lower down. When we left School two lads went to SUFC ,one made the 1st team. Now it seems all kids are at clubs

Odd last night, we appeared to go to 4-4-2 then sort of disintegrate into an unrecognisable mess after apromising few minutes

He does his job , that’s it , he’s no super keeper. Not worth being our best paid player or one of. That was not his 1st blunder either.
