Uplifting viewing that Heath. Thanks for sharing :(
The most disappointing thing for me was what I perceive to be a lack of humility, that we should be grateful he’s here. Doesn’t sit right with needing more supporters through the gates. Not wanting him to beg or anything but it doesn’t strike me as an incentive for the stay aways to start returning. Maybe swallow some pride and tell the fans how much they’re valued and needed? Any club thriving will be doing this. Still think there’s too much ‘us and them’ that won’t turn this around.

I don’t think like Oyston he’s staying out of spite WG. More to it than that I reckon.

Any chance of a brief summary for those of us who couldn’t listen live?
Er, I’ll try, from what I can remember, though nothing that new bit a lot covered:
Chinese takeover rumour: news to him, first he’d heard of it.
League position unacceptable but didn’t want to put a timescale on how long to give Neil, who has his full support. Seemed to be blaming injuries for a lot of on pitch problems, particularly Loft but acknowledged problems elsewhere on pitch. Happy with Rory. Not disappointed with performances but cconceding late has cost points. Not getting hammered by opposition.
Why has he been absent? A lot of commitments but is around more than some owners. Has been quiet because till know no ones asked to interview him. Knows some fans want him gone but doesn’t believe a buyer is out there. Supporters are welcome to offer buying.
Ground developments. Covid has stalled everything but hoping to start soon. Not sure I understood exactly what. Some old ground covered about the problems of the past with NLCC.
We can’t continue on 3,000 average attendance but club financially secure with no debts. He’s put a lot of his own money in. Survey going out to ask why a third of fans not going. Doesn’t think it’s just performances. We’ll see what everyone says.
These were the keys areas for me NI. There was a lot more discussed but hopefully that’s fairly accurate account. I’m sure you’ll be able to hear it soon.

It will be interesting to hear the interview with the Telegraph (tomorrow is it?). I suspect that will be prickly to say the least.

Well done guys on a good podcast and some challenging questions. And thanks to the the owner for being interviewed. Not convinced by some of the answers but just my opinion. I don’t think it was fair of him to be insinuating you were comparing him to Fenty btw. As I heard the question it was more about comparing SUFC with how the Cods are currently thriving. And no supporter would rather us be non-league either.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he complains about the flak he’s been getting on social media and issues some threats.

Has to be a wind up. Up shit creek? I know let’s bring in an ex manager who’s been out the game for nearly 10 years!
With all the planed property developments is he going to put it up for sale? I know he’s said no one is interested in buying but would actually putting up for sale make a difference? I don’t know. Just asking.

Foghorn Leghorn maybe?
Has someone hacked your account BS?
Saw him playing for NZ not the Iron. Wasn’t he another great ‘club signing’?

It’s the average time I’m afraid ;)

Neither. It’s a cut and paste from any generic customer services job description.

Yes there is. It’s a reference to awaywego wishing BS dead in another post. Keep up or jog on. And stay on topic. It upsets other posters more than what’s been happening to the club for years and years. The majority on here were happy clapping and mocking and scorning the likes of Alcy and Fansy for speaking out until recently. In terms of the likelihood of a meaningful protest happening that should tell everyone what they need to know.
Oh, and now do one, irritant.

I will agree with him on one point though. A meaningful protest that’s going to make much difference is unlikely to happen. As Max Bell pointed out the other week, Iron fans are not known for their militancy. Though I disagree with him that it’s likely to change soon. I expect nothing much more than a few shouts or occasional chants. If there was any hope of it being more than that we’d be seeing more action by now. More and more will just stop going. Most are too apathetic to take action and the majority will just find other ways of spending their money on a Saturday afternoon. That’s not say I’d like to see it stymied. Happy to be proved wrong.

Hardly derailed is it? I’ve made enough points on topic, so’s awaywego.
Ah, I get it now awaywego. You got the mental age of a 15 year old. Explains everything!
You were out of order and you know it! Regardless of what another poster said.
Edited for typos…
Maybe you’re projecting yourself on to this idea of Scunny fans being the worst? I don’t know.
Are you going to wish me dead aswell?

What a nice fun loving guy you are awaywego. It’s one thing not being happy about someone’s stance, quite another wishing them dead.
Hypothetical, but if the revenue get’s so low that staff can’t be paid and the owner doesn’t give / lend the funds, a club goes in to administration doesn’t it? If a new owner doesn’t come along it folds doesn’t it?

‘the sooner you join Cox senior the better saddo.’
Lovely that awaywego. Is that your idea of banter or are you just trying to contribute to your bollocks theory that Iron fans are the worst in the UK?

Lol, ‘Save money whilst improving the Sans Siro? Stay at home folks!’.
And you can guarantee this how?

‘If you don’t like the English football pyramid go support a franchise league’
Has anybody said or intimated that? Rest assured none of those clubs or their fans wanted to lose league status. It might be more helpful if you stopped talking out your backside.

Blackpool is the new galaxy.
Where’s UTI99? Has he or she given up trying to defend the indefensible?
