As an aside, Eriksen’s just signed for Brentford

Noticed there’s been a big increase in this. Have any clubs and officials said why it’s happening more?

Let’s all do Matt a favour now and draw a line in the sand eh? Use the forum without reference to past issues and rehashing grudges? There are more important things Iron related to be concerned about and no one needs to keep seeing all this tit for tat and division.

Maybe all curb the insults and winding each other up so much? That includes me.

I meant unacceptable stuff being associated with our Club btw, not being critical of it. Let’s not forget ‘he’ is a custodian of our club

I’m not defending booing our own players being subbed awaywego. I don’t agree with that either, but like you say, it’s been done to death. If you meant those particular fans are the ‘worst on the country’ then I get what you’re saying a bit more, even if I don’t agree with you.

I think there needs be an understanding that whilst you’re free to hold whatever views you like, some may well be unacceptable to publish on a forum and those posts that risk the site, the site owners reputation and the good name of Scunthorpe United should be immediately removed and the perpetrators issued a warning. If this happens, it would be helpful if everyone accepted that without claims of ‘censorship’ and being ‘cancelled’. Just my opinion.

‘But explaining “fair” to lefties is like knitting fog blindfold.’

This I was referring to in my last post Alcy. It really doesn’t help matters.

Maybe if everyone committed to less politicaly based posts and to starting threads on different topics, that might help? There was a time this used to happen.

Away support will always be more vocal and positive – the majority are the most committed fans so are bound to be. Home fans just moaning and griping is a sweeping generalisation but I agree, tends to happen more. However, That’s true of many league clubs, it doesn’t make home match Iron fans the ‘worst in the country’.

Trying to figure out who BA is? Best I can come up with is BA Robertson or Bryan Adams

I was thinking more of a few of our fellow fans who say it NLI.

Check out this Vale vlogger too about Scunny fans: ‘some of the nicest supporters I’ve ever had the chance to speak to’. Maybe not the ‘worst fans in the country’ after all eh?

Looking at the remaining fixtures, and assuming a new forward and CB comes in, I’d say it’s still doable. Back to back home wins next two look like a necessity and taking maximum points from most the remaining home games and the odd point and cheeky 1-0 away win. No wriggle room for error in games we should be getting points from, but there’s still a glimmer. Time for my tablets…

Can’t see why Hill would go within a month Alcy. Swann’s clearly prepared to fund the transfers he wants. I know some players need to leave first but I’d be more surprised if Hill left before the end of the season tbh.

Definitely positive signings and appears to be a step in the right direction. Hopefully they’ll help us stay up, though some may need time to get match fit and gel. I know they need to hit the ground running but it would be helpful if everyone give them time before ripping in to them with the sort of warranted and unwarranted criticism we’ve seen in the recent past.

With a good coach seemingly having a big say in signings for areas that everyone’s been saying need urgent attention, plus the never say die attitude on Tuesday, it’s the most optimistic I’ve felt for a few years. But we shall see… might phone the doctor…

It could make the difference. There may also be the argument that these players wouldn’t have come if it hadn’t been for Hill being here?

Matheson too. I think he could push on in the next few weeks. Looked on it and hungry last game. Not sure defensively yet but certainly a skilfull attacking threat.
