Martin Fry bought me a bottle of Holstein Pils in the green room bar at Tyne Tees TV Studios.

Why did he do that and why were you there NI? Were they performing on The Tube or summerts? Were you an ABC groupie back in the day? Think we deserve the truth, no matter how sordid.

‘He has continually said that he will give the ground back, and he has reiterated that again via the forum.’

Biggest laugh I’ve had all week. Thanks!

Watch him flourish once he leaves our cesspit, I tells ye!

Have no fear shrimp, once he leaves us he’s bound to flourish. A lot do, and some fans say it’s because the club is rotten to the core. Some of our own even say we have the worst supporters in the country and that players are driven out. If Rory joins you I can guarantee his quality of life will improve. And he’ll save some shots for you.

Are you able to explain why you think it’s ironic awaywego? Might be helpful. As far as my knowledge of the use of ‘irony’ goes, I don’t think that works.

‘Not sure what you can read into that, but Nuttall seems to be the one who’s lost his way.’

Perfect fit for a club that’s lost it’s way?

‘Maybe I’m just fed up of race seeming to be the front and centre trigger in every issue and discussion at present.’

In hindsight, do you think that’s a wee bit more than an exaggeration Just Iron? Gleaning the threads on here over the last few weeks, this is the first time ‘race’ has entered a discussion. I understand where you stand but let’s not distort the picture further eh?

‘9 goals in 20 games on loan at Brigg!’

No disrespect to Counties footy NI, but having watched a fair bit recently, there’s a gulf of difference between levels 3/4 and 9/10. Point taken about Grant and Dagnall though 🤣

    Which are you?

What does the future hold for SUFC?

    1. None. Snorkeling upside down through the brown stuff left by Swann

    2. Champions League in 5 years

There is a big difference between investment and speculation.

I suggest our absentee landlord did very little of the former and multi million pounds of the latter.

The speculation was all based on a misplaced confidence in his own judgement but he would now like his money back.

It’s not likely to end well for Mr Swann or for the Iron.

    That’s what I’m talking about 👍

Nothing wrong with a little overspending, or additional investment, if it’s executed professionally via a good owner, a good team of staff behind it, sound strategy, etc, but not overspending on the scale we did, with none of the other bits involved necessary to be successful, and some blind target of getting us in the Championship. We need some investment over and above a household economy type budget or we’re National League or worse for an indefinite period.

“Yep bang on Deerey you frequently mocked and scorned our attempt at Harrogate to protest. You are part of the problem.’

Ha,don’t make me laugh! The only people I took the piss out of (post event, not before I will add) was you and your cohorts for your failed attempt at encouraging fellow fans to leave the ground. It’s even more laughable when you keep bringing up being a shop steward. You are actually part of the problem, deriding posters on here thinking about other forms of protest that aren’t your idea and being a frequent Swann apologist. Spat your dummy out I reckon 🤣

‘maybe it’s because scunny is a Tory seat, but more likely no one as even noticed our predicament.’

Haven’t noticed, and even if they have, couldn’t care less. And as someone pointed out recently, we’re hardly a hotbed of radical action are we? No one agrees on anything, hardly ever a general consensus and most speaking up or out have been frequently mocked or scorned. This is the reality of our situation and why most outside the club and area don’t care much about it. Why should they if the majority haven’t been shouting about it? That’s how I see it anyway.

I enjoyed a drink and a chat with some Leyton fans after the match in ’99. Got as far away from Wembley as possible to have a drink without Millwall fans in 2009.
