‘the old chesnut of someone says they will come then their agent will find another club for them who wants to pay more’. In that respect, very much like an estate agent IA. Are there any out there who can sell the club for us?

Ooh goody, are you going to re-post the same squad minus or plus 1 player every time someone joins or leaves? Fasten your seat belts!

Sounds like he has poor options though.

It might have meant February 7th 2023? X-)

It might have been put back to the 12th…of never!

‘Was promised to reopen several months ago, guess it’s a Scunny thing.’

Promise or intention? Seem to recall it was the latter. And how would Swanny have any influence (as you said in a previous post) on whether the non-footy side reopened again or not?

How come the Cods haven’t offered him a new contract?

‘The side should be more or less in place over the next 12 days.’

Definitely just seen a pig fly past the window.

Just to add a bit of fuel to the fire Taft is on holiday with macatee and a few of the Grimsby players, not sure who there though

Oh great, how many times has Taft had to sit through Mcatee playing clips of him leading cods fans singing ‘Scunny get battered, everywhere they go!’ On his phone?

It seems unless they have match reports or pieces from Max Bell there’s nothing. So either the club aren’t sending them press releases or they are and the Telegraph aren’t publishing them. Either way, it’s rubbish.

How much is the dearth of SUFC articles in the Telegraph still due to bad relations with the club?

I had £3 on the Cods getting promotion at 18/1 – it numbed the disappointment slightly.

Better odds than one of your other big bets I suppose.

Telegraph online-just looking myself earlier. Can’t believe how long ago the last feature was. Weren’t relations with them supposed to be on the mend? Or has that stalled now Simon Elliott has gone?

One of the now biggest critics of Swann on here threatened to grass me up for a comment I made about him on here about 3-4 years ago. Irony is, he now comes out more potentially libellous comments than I do. Whatever. The post above has just reminded me of that episode. How times and mindsets change.

How many ex-Iron forwards do Stockport want?? It’s getting silly now. 3 ànd counting, including Kyle who’s just signed a 3 year deal. They’ll be able to regale each other with tales from the abyss with us. Contrasting fortunes? Damn right. Oh well, pleased for them, they’ve lived to tell the tale and are on their uppers. Looks like one of the best things that’s happened to them in recent years was leaving Swann infested SUFC.

Absolutely deserve to be where we are. All about perceptions though. My comments about some clubs perhaps wanting to beat us more than others is more about opposition teams and fans under the illusion that our club and supporters think they / we are bigger and better than them, which is far from the case. Those clubs that haven’t fallen from grace like us will definitely raise their game though. Going to be tough.

If we signed Harry Kane (unlikely I know) there would be some unhappy posters so, yes, I’m sure you’re right about groans vs cheers.

The Arsenal Iron fans maybe? Seems to be a big thing supporting a Premier league club and the Iron. Don’t get it myself.

I can see some opposition warming to the idea of thrashing a side who was in the Championship not so long ago and whose supporters may think they’re too big for non league. Big scalp? Kind of.
