Aye, get the popcorn ready for conference footage! Will she forget the script and start wanging on about pork and cheese again?! Probably not far off this parody…
A bit of common sense
You’re very good at telling your detractors to check their facts Bucks. Thing is, when we do, we mostly find you’ve got it completely wrong. Unless you’re basing much òf your supposed facts on opions of Telegraph / Spectator journalists and climate change deniers like that loop the loop Phin poster who haunted these shores for a brief period some years ago? Yes, the pound has risen today. You’re surely not implying it has anything to do with confidence in your leaders and little to do with the bailout are you?
How soon before she throws Kwarteng under the bus btw? It’s the Tory way.
Like Liz, you’re really getting desperate Bucks!
Double down double dozy Liz doing the local radio rounds – yet another bizarre escapade and performance
Where’s the Nutall moving news been published?
I thought I’d posted about Tufton Street not whataboutery.
Maybe BS. But as Les says, why take the risk when you can still be critical without saying it? Anyway, said my bit. Your call.

Simon Hoare, the Tory MP for North Dorset, tweeted: “In the words of Norman Lamont on Black Wednesday: ‘Today has been a very difficult day’. These are not circumstances beyond the control of govt/Treasury. They were authored there. This inept madness cannot go on.”
‘Inept madness’. We’re saying the same words on here as the Tories are saying about themselves. What an utter shambles. Makes Swanny look competent ffs.
September 29, 2022 at 8:17 am in reply to: The Tory, Oops, I mean Labour Conference is Going Well #245735The Tory conference, oops I mean pork and cheese conference starts Saturday – it won’t go well. Get the popcorn in!
Certainly not bullying or insulting. Most people without an ulterior motive (i.e. tax interests) and a modicum of politics and economics knowledge, can see what’s going on
You might want to refrain from accusing him of lying BS, and anyone else for that matter. Just to be on safe side. Not berating you, but I believe it’s libellous?
‘Actually, I didn’t say that anyone had insulted me, so at very least get your facts straight. I simply pointed out the complete lack of constructive argument and insults, which are there in black and white.’
Just fact checked. We’re all good thanks. 👍
Though I’m not sure from that quote if you claim there were insults or not? Seems contradictory. Anyhow, always the case with you Bucks, pointless getting in to a constructive debate with you. You’ll no doubt resort to straw manning and gaslighting at some point. You forget, some of us are past masters of playing that game with you. Anyhow, been good to hear from you.

T’was ever thus.

September 28, 2022 at 5:48 pm in reply to: The Tory, Oops, I mean Labour Conference is Going Well #245711Bizarrely, he’d have furthered his cause better by hiding his light under that bushel a bit more ;)
Are you tired? Fear not, many are just finding out what goes on at 55 Tufton Street and will soon realise it’s an absolute racket. The rich few steering and shaping government policy. Total stitch up.
September 28, 2022 at 5:42 pm in reply to: The Tory, Oops, I mean Labour Conference is Going Well #245708And apparently the IMF is a left wing institution according to a leading Tory clown. You couldn’t make it up! How long before they realise that increasing numbers of people are getting savvy to their accusations of being ‘woke’ and left wing / neo-Marxist in a feeble attempt to deflect justified criticism? I’m afraid piss taking can only stretch so far.
September 28, 2022 at 5:30 pm in reply to: The Tory, Oops, I mean Labour Conference is Going Well #245703‘But the plain truth is that this would be a Labour government I could live with, nationalisation or otherwise. I might even be in favour of some of that. Sorry to disappoint you.’
Okay, couple of points of order:
‘I might even be in favour of some of that. Sorry to disappoint you.”
Wrong end of the stick again. Frankly I wouldn’t give a damn whether you’d be on board or not. But hey! The more the merrier. I merely pointed out re-nationalisation as an example of how your ‘Tories in disguise’ claim is so wide off the mark. That’s before we even get on to realistic plans for the NHS and the inevitable income boost to local authorities, particularly those red wall ones your Party has starved and shat on, and other traditional Labour seats.
‘A Labour government I could live with’. So you’re suggesting if it didn’t meet your approval, you’d do what exactly? Leave the country? Is it the tried and tested ‘my way or the highway’ approach again?
September 28, 2022 at 5:17 pm in reply to: The Tory, Oops, I mean Labour Conference is Going Well #245702‘Labour thinks it’s won the next election already’
No no, it doesn’t. I can assure you of that. I’m sure that’s a convenient thought for Tories to hang on to, hoping complacency sets in but it’s far from the truth. Good progress is being made though and it feels like there could be change in the air because, let’s face it, people are only going to put up with so much. They’re not going to protest enough to change much but they’ll vote at the ballot box and a general election is more imminent by the week with your mates in charge

You might want to take a look at where Swanny’s attitude to those who aren’t interested on taking ‘my way or the highway’ has got him and the institution he’s supposed to be a good custodian of, contrast and compare to how your Party are running the country off a cliff edge. It’s not rocket science and thankfully the population are coming to their senses. Change is in the air. I think you know that already but fair play for flogging a dead horse in the face of reality.
‘Tell the IMF to take a running jump’
Absolute madness. So, any institution that doesn’t agree with the crazy attitude of the Tories needs to do one? It’s that isolationalist attitude and approach to national and international relations that have got the country in such a mess, not you and your mates never ending stream of nonsense and your policies designed to protect and better the few. ‘Let’s be clear’ doesn’t validate anything you claim btw.

I already pre-empted your baseless accusations of ‘insults’ on another thread Bucks. Didn’t pre-empt ‘usual suspects’ though so you got me there! The logic of the Tories is in a tailspin snd looks like you’re on that plane. This clip would be funny if it wasn’t so bizarrely true:

September 28, 2022 at 2:30 pm in reply to: The Tory, Oops, I mean Labour Conference is Going Well #245688You clearly haven’t heard the thinking on re-nationalisation if you think the current Labour Party are Tories in disguise Bucks. But that’s not why you’ve resurfaced is it, to stick to the facts? Plain as day from your goading of Gurney what you’re up to: a desperate attempt to give your Party an ounce of credibility and mud sling. How long I wonder before we get all that crap we thought we’d left behind about being bullying, abusive and insulting? Which day have you got the straw man arguments and gaslighting lined up for? We’ve moved on from that since you went away, who’d have thunked it? Suggest you move on from all that too – save us all the tedium. 17 points behind in the polls and increasing by the day. Sweat on lad!
Lol, Bucksiron to the rescue! Do me a favour. You can pontificate and spin as much you like mate, and no doubt you will because, my, things must be bad for you to wheel out or be wheeled out in feeble defence of a wretched Party that thankfully swathes of the country are realising is corrupt and clueless. No one believes your Party and its supporters lies any more Bucks. Give it in as a bad job. Save yourself the bother.
Southgate has to learn from the way he set them up and instructed them first half. Unless the players just couldn’t be arsed? Got to start on the front foot, get at em, commit men forward, keep shape, etc. No defence for Maguire, ffs. Pickford should be back for the WC so that’s a plus
..and we voted to secure our borders with the Brexit vote, but the Tories didn’t implement our wishes because the “Establishment”were adamant Remainers ,and were determined to go against our wishes.
Is that it? Seriously, is that all you’ve got?
Great news, Monday’s over and Tuesday spells more optimism. The rate that Laurel & Hardy are going at, their snake colleagues will oust them within 6 months and unwittingly instigate an early General Election, by which time Labour will be even further ahead in opinion polls with a decent manifesto. The best the Tories can hope for is a hung parliament, at which point, coalition time and good night Jacob.
And it’s still Monday!
