Great that this popped up on The English on iplayer earlier. Takes me back. Not to the wild west but the late 90s, and a flourishing romance. Aye…

I had a little chat with Simon before the game and he said they spoke to someone from Swanns people this morning and feeling positive, I had heard it on the radio going and it is a good listen and will be on their website

Good to hear that Mick 👍

‘I don’t know why he has had some irritation over this’

Perhaps JI feels like he’s being interogated or ‘mocked’ as he says?

‘My interpretation is that JI accepts the scientific findings, like the age of the Earth, but sees it as guidance from God.’

Ah, that I understand. Is that a fair reflection of your thinking JI?

‘From that, Deerey, you can see that I don’t need to find an explanation for fossils centring on a Satanic scam to plant fossils and fool everyone. Personally I’ve not come across that one in the circles in which I move but I’m sure that it’s one of several explanations given’

I came across it high up in the results of googling ‘how do Christians reconcile fossils’ JI. Just a quick look as I was intrigued. I accept your point about different opinions on it within your faith but tbh, a lot of the rest of your post I struggled to comprehend. It’s not like I’m educated to a low level either, so either you’re not explaining yourself very well, or my intelligence has waned, or I’m a charlatan who conned the education system. Probably one of the last two. Oh well…

‘Does Charles fall into this bracket by inviting him around buckingham palace on numerous occasions or did he unbelievably not have a clue about who he was and what he was doing ?’

Did I say that he probably didn’t have a clue about what Saville was up to? No. Not really sure what you’re banging on about tbh. You asked a loaded question about Charles inviting him round for ‘other purposes’. That’s what I responded to. The amount of high ranking people who knew about his activities was immense. It was massive cover up. Now, you’ve gone off on a tangent about security services vetting, which every Tom Dick and Harry is aware of. My point to you was about the possibility of Charles inviting him for ‘other purposes’. What are you suggesting with your Sun style gossiping might that entail then? Actually, I’m not that arsed what you think, particularly as I’m aware I’m being dragged in to a Piers Morgan type tittle tattle gossip column. Good day to you.

‘You have ask yourself for what other purposes Charles had such a close relationship with Saville.’

Do you? Does that go for for the countless other high profile people who Saville leached up to? Letting your imagination get carried away I reckon. Lots of people suspected he was very dodgy and heard rumours but he managed to protect himself all his life by getting influential and prolific people to vouch for his character and cover up.

They’re going to do what’s best for the Swann’s above anything else. Are the long term interests of the club, the supporters and town included in their brief? Not expecting any evidence based answers btw…

They run a Royals story every day from what I can tell, even before this new book. Must be taking up more than half their rags now.

The club statement said they were going through due dilligence. Nothing needed correcting as far as I can tell. Maybe ask the club why they’ve not said anything since? Or maybe don’t bother because they can’t or won’t? He keeps saying they’re trying to get the deal over the line. Sounds to me he’s being as transparent as he can.

Could posters have some respect for Lee’s and other employees situation and refrain from posting more stuff about redundancy and liquidation maybe? I’m sure they’ve enough on their plate already.

A good owner would make every effort to develop amd nurture good working relationships with stakeholders including supporters, potential sponsors, the council and the media. They would appreciate and reply to offers of help, like Simon Elliott has on Twitter. For those not on Twitter, yesterday an Iron supporting PR/marketing consultant who helped with the Portsmouth takeover called Kirsty O’Connor, reached out with an offer of help to Simon and Ian. Simon replied:

‘Many thanks for reaching out its appreciated. If we are successful in getting a deal over the line we would love to have a chat.’

Thought that was worth sharing, as I know some of you don’t view Twitter. It’s not all bad, though a lot of it is (why I never post on it). There are occasionally good things to see like that exchange that offer glimmers of hope.

Has Lee told you that? Do you have evidence to support your claim?
