Depends if they’re going to get paid what they’ve been promised I suppose. Wonder what sort of wages they’ve been offered 🤔

Should we chip in a bit more player sponsorship to include petrol money?

Good points Cliff. Perhaps the Trust will release a statement once there’s clarity on plan A or B?

Why does it take SST to find out what’s actually going on? He could have told Barra about Gainsborough and it needing to be ratified with the NLN this weekend.

Borrow? If only. How much is the rent? Are they training there or Ilkeston? Stop a random bloke on the street and find out.

It’s a tumultuous time for the club NI. Can’t always be hearts and flowers. The buck stops with our current owner and ex owner. They’ve precipitated all this conflict and division. The current owner is in a position to help unify the fans a bit more. Instead he’s making it worse IMO

‘Must admit I don’t enjoy logging in as much these days. Even missing Bucksiron and Alcazar!’

I wouldn’t be so sure Alcy’s not still around NI.

And Hilton and his acolytes wonder why there’s so much division? Joke.

Agreed CMC. Hilton hasn’t told us about Gainsborough or nln ratification needed. We’ve had to find out from someone else. It’s a circus. Not good enough

IB, it’s that weekly lowering of expectations again I think. A lot of fans are probably at the stage of being hopeful of seeing nln football at all next season?

Lol, Siderite’s post just reminded me, my first user name on one of the first iterations of the board back in c.2000 was ‘The Grammar Checker’. The only other handles I can remember from that time were The Ref, Fans64 and possibly Pele? I’m sure there were others but can’t remember them now.

This is why we don’t have any burners on Bru (touch wood); because it’s password protected and new members have to give an email address when they set up a new account. Much easier to track and trace the perpetrator on a forum like this. Much more difficult to do that on Twitter (if not impossible?). That’s why the burner accounts are set up on there. Apologies if I’m patronising you WG, but I get the impression you’re not aware of this.

‘AA is a dodgy burner account’

You do realise the definition of a burner account is one that’s set up to intimidate and abuse and is usually deactivated within hours or days to avoid detecting the perpetrator? I guess not.

Come on wondergoals, AA has said enough about affairs of the Iron and Scunny in general to assuage the most dedicated of doubters. As for this:

‘Wasn’t he/it the same poster who told us about that daft hit piece regarding Hilton on the code fishy forum to read that stupid article about Hilton insinuating he was some kind of criminal mastermind/gangland boss ?’

Before AA signposted to that article and attachment on The Fishy, I and I suspect numerous others on here had already seen it and were anticipating some sort of mention or reference to it on Bru. AA was just the first to do it.

‘That’s not good to read, Deerey. The burner accounts are a strange phenomenon clearly linked to Hilton’s circle and need stopping immediately.’

Yes, like I said, I can laugh it off, particularly as it was one of the less threatening ones, and folk who post on Twitter have had far worse as you may know. Whoever’s behind it will read this post no doubt, and it they’ve got anything to do with Hilton, my suggestion would be to pack it in – you’re doing nothing but causing more division than we already have. If you want us to pull together and get behind him and move forward, with a bit more backing and unity, just respond to the critics in a sensible and rationale manner, without the abuse and threats. It’s not rocket science. And also, we’re football supporters, we take the piss a lot, particularly Scunthonians. It’s how we were brought up!

I doubt anyone knows who II is LK but they’ve every right to post on here if it’s not libelous stuff. As you said, ignore it if you’re not interested.

Tbh I-A you do keep repeating this ‘daddies little boy’ line and with all due respect I find that a bit boring. But hey, each to their own, enjoy the sun and some nice single malt 👍

No, I wasn’t aware of who it was aimed at MKI, and neither was Ferrite by the look of it. What I said in my post though could be applied to II or IB. Am I right in thinking you don’t view Twitter? Some of the content from these burner accounts that crop up frequently is very out of order, and in some cases, disgusting. Nobody knows for sure who’s behind them but if they are indeed friends of Hilton as they claim, I can understand why anyone would be wary of speaking directly to him about anything beyond lite. I don’t even post on there myself but this week one of these posters was claiming they knew that an Iron supporter on Twitter was ‘Deereyme66’. He rightly denied it. The burner accountant then went on to claim this guy must be Siderite or Iron Age. Again, rebuffed. I was alerted to it and laughed it off, but it’s not good is it? We’ve never had this level of abuse and threats with other owners in the past. I think you said to me previously if I don’t like what I see on there, don’t view it. Well, kind of hard not to if someone on there is trying (mistakenly) to find out my identity on here via Twitter. I’m hardly his fiercest critic. But if the perpetrator thinks it will stop me airing my views on here, they can think again.

Just an afterthought, he seems very interested in social media and must have seen many of the tougher questions and concerns floating around here and Twitter. Perhaps he could release a statement clearing some of that up? Reasonable isn’t it? Would get more supporters on his side and pulling in the same direction. Any idea why he hasn’t done that?

I haven’t no, and based on some of the content of his Twitter account in response to fans with reasonable questions (his brief dialogue with SST regarding 1899 scheme for instance) and historical tweets before he took over SUFC, plus the abusive and threatening tweets from people claiming to be friends of his, I’ll be giving that one a wide berth thanks. If he reacts the way ive seen to reasonable questions and concerns, I suspect my questions would not be received very well at all. I think that’s reasonable MKI – do you? Should I be ashamed or something?

I-A, you definitely not on Twitter? This sounds a bit like you:

‘Nothing worse then imagining the worse scenario in the depths of what you think could happen, have a few beers a bag of crisps and play some good music, you need a day off from worrying 🫠’

    Only joking ;)
