It has to be good enough to make fans walk past several food opportunities and buy at the AA.

    Butler was experimenting against Chesterfield.

Too late to be experimenting IMO, his preferred first XI should have been established and started this game.

It would seem that AB has failed, thus far, to tap into the huge amount of knowledge and experience available on Bru. Come on Andy, sign up and learn.

How about 3-4-3 with Roberts, Whitehall & Carlton as a front 3. That would pose problems for most opponents you’d think.

Sorry for repeating myself but I still think that “pick your best 10 outfield players and use a system that plays to their strengths” easily beats ” pick a system and make your players fit into it.” Of course we’ll all have different opinions as to the “best 10” but surely there’s no doubt that Roberts is in it.

This being the last pre-season game I would have expected the anticipated 10th August team to have started this game. If they did then we have big problems. Does AB still not know his “best” line up?

Might hold off on that £20 at 15/2.

Why would the price of ‘his’ season ticket be of concern to somebody that says he only goes to away games.

“Despite offers from further up the pyramid, Jono Greening is delighted to add Cam to his squad for next season.”

Yeah, right!! Didn’t fancy Arsenal then?

At the AA? Not seen anything on SM. Good choice, just the home kit?

I still think, with the players we have, that either 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 are better fits than 5-3-2 (3-5-2)
    Opinions again.

The club are only leasing the training pitch at the Attis at the moment.

I think Roberts has to be a starter somewhere in whatever formation Butler uses. His salary as well as his ability must guarantee that surely.

We’ve beaten a team from a higher league, one where Pugh doesn’t start. Why such pessimism?

Agree with less about Braithwaite, he is looks a really accomplished player. Good athlete and decent turn of speed. Looks composed on the ball with a positive range of passing. Lives locally, he won’t want much in terms of wages and is only 20yrs old. Butler is keen on him too.
    No brainer.

Butler indicated an intention to build a partnership between Whitehall & Carlton.
How many minutes have they played together so far?

If any team at a realistic level need to match Fitz’s wages then they will probably not be looking to pay a fee. Would we let him go on a free to save the money?
Unfortunately Kelly is the one from whom we’re not getting VFM but that’s hardly his fault. Too expensive for back up in NLN I reckon. (I’m only guessing he’s on a decent wage as he arrived as one of the best LBs in NL.)

I wish I could post a link but I’m not bright enough. However I refer you to a Mac Davis song, freely available on youtube, which seems appropriate.

Butler has indicated a willingness to play Beestin as a striker which he is comfortable with. Already having Whitehall, Carlton & Fishburn I reckon another forward might not be his priority.

What a stupid game this is!! I went on holiday and predicted quarters, semis and final before I knew who was playing. I scored better than I did by using my extensive football knowledge to predict the qualifying games.
Thanks SST and well done BFB.

Don’t forget the sky’s going orange/ red when Lysaghts slag ladles were being tipped, often coincided with a home goal going in.

I misread that, I thought you said LADIES!!

I’ve been extremely suspicious of iron414 from the 1st day he/she posted. All you’ve done is bash the club post in post out, bit of a questionable mindset of a supposed fan.
Is there anybody at the club you haven’t had an go at ?
I confused as to what your game is because it doesn’t add up.

It could be a memory lapse on my part (not unusual) but didn’t 414 arrive at about the time that SNOT departed?
