Although, maybe if everyone turned their minds away from any problems or issues they might just go away? Now there’s a solution for everything!
One more time Deerey, there isn’t a problem, it does not exist, only yourself and a very few other fanatics keep on about it, please just remove it from your mind, you really are obsessed with it, what do you do when you go to bed, take the knee and have a good cry??.
You will not discuss anything people say, the first thing from you is to attack the poster, call him a Nazi, or a racist, do you ever get the feeling that you are the biggest racist amongs us, you are a racist against white people, you are a racist against Britain, you are a racist against anyone that is not a Labour Leftie, just do not be so bitter my friend, and enjoy life and your country, there is a good boy!!
Swann has stated why he did what he did? Does anyone on here listen to iron Bru podcast?
UptheIron99—-No we do not listen to anything that Sqann says, to be fair to us, most of us did listen to his patter for almost six years, but after nothing ever came of all his claims and so called aims, we gave up listening, and take everything with a pinch of salt, Derinitely!!!
There appears to be only yourself and AwayWeGo69 that give 100% backing to his speal, and I still think that you are really the same person.

Definitely a hint of white plumage starting to appear.
Vadar—-please do not use that word DEFINITELY pal, I am still having nightmares from Mr Keyon commentating the Scunny v Man C 21s, he used the word 257 times in the 90 mins.

Racist chanting? Nah, it can’t be true, someone on here said they’d never heard any at a football match.
Deerey you seem to be obsessed with racism, every topic you write on is the same thing, why does your mind turn everything into the same subject, most people just do not get involved, or are aware that there is a problem, bu you seem to have your mind full of this subject.
Maybe the problem that you go on about would not exist if people would not keep bringing the topic up, just try for one day not to turn your mind on the subject, it might just go away and not control your life !!!

Although I have not attended any of the matches this season, I have never heard such rubbish that has been published on the club page, when 4,000 proper supporters attended matches, I never heard any of this rubbish ever being said or sang by Scunny fans, wso now that the few die hards still attend, it is even less likely for these things to happen. It appears that the club are just coming out with this rubbish, to distract the proper problems that exist in our, or should I say “the owners club”. I am certain that there is no shortage of beer, bread buns, burgers or soft drinks, and covid appears to still be getting the blame for most of the problems.
Why no comment on injuries, also the standard of the present playing staff, why no comment on the fact that the club is going to do something regarding the fact that it is 16 games since the team actually won a match, none of these seem to be a problem that wants highlighting, but the rubbish being stated reflects blame on supporters, none of the problems appear to point the blame onto management!!!
NEXT TIME THE CLUB MAKES A STATEMENT, I SUGGEST THEY HAVE A WORD WITH SUPPORTERS FIRST!!!!!

Increasingly the posts of several make it difficult to believe that they are SUFC supporters.
Again you have got it wrong UTI99, you use the words “they are SCFC supporters”, it should be “were SUFC supporters”, many have been lost because they no longer like what has happened to their club, now I am wrong, it should read “Swanns club”.

Tuesday night was a disgrace, practically a team full of youngsters and the brain dead decided the best way to ‘support’ them was to chant about the Swanns.
For the record if I was Swann I’d have sold up years ago. Too many idiots thinking they know how to run a football club around.
So UTI99—-Do you think that the club is being run properly, please answer that question, at the same time of answering, please bare in mind that the owner has run up a debt of £11.5 million, dropped down from being a team in the top few of League 1 into the relegation area each year of League 2, have lost all their better players, have borrowe £1 million from the Football League which has resulted in stiff penalties, now are operating a team of sub standard non league standard non league players, have a ground that is run down and neglected, they have taken the ground from the club due to the debt that the board suppervised, have lost 50% of its once proud supporters, have a team that plays defensive unentertaining rubbish, and just one more, have now gone 16 matches since winning a bloody game (correct me if I am wrong Big Left Toe). So UTI99, do you think that the club is being run correctly mate, and should supporters be turning up in droves and doing hand springs along Brownsword Way on match days in order to please your mate Swanny,, you are a stupid bloody idiot UTI99, DEFINITELY!!!

He could do to lose a bit of weight and hopefully become more mobile but I guess he is what he is.
And he certainly needs to learn a few new words Iron-awe, he definitely does.
Not far off
Is that for DEFINITE Mick?????, a nice lad, but will Definitely not make a radio commentator, that is for DEFINITE, I am feeling very tired today because I definitely had a bad nights sleep last night, and woke up screaming three times.
Yes Mick, I do not have any problem with the effort put in by our young players, and it will have done them good for the experience, but if I had wanted to watch a youth match I would do so, but do you not think that eight is too many for what is supposed to be a first team game, I DEFINITELY do mate.
It sounds as if it was DEFINITELY young Kenyon who used the word every other word he spoke, some one should DEFINITELY have a quiet little word with him, bless him.
The passion is in the Boardroom Andrew, the trouble is none ever leaves there.

Please put me out of my misery, PLEASE who was that bloody commentator??????????????????????
What I am thinking Northumbiron is that it was a long 90 mins just watching it on IFollower and listening to “Definitely” during the full 90 mins, by the way who was that Definitely guy, it was said by the other commentator that suggested that he was a Scunny player that is out injured, saying that, that covers about 8 players ha ha!
Your suggestion regarding me attending that game Northumbiron, there was never ever any chance of that, but with my luck, I would have probably have selected a seat just near “DEFINITELY”, one advantage though was that I would Definitely have left after 70 minutes at the most. I just cannot get this bloody definitely word out of my mind, I am just hoping that it does not effect my nights sleep, although the guy would definitely have been practically speachless without those 267 DEFINITELY’S, there I go again, I am really hooked now.

August 24, 2021 at 9:42 pm in reply to: Out of the second of three cups in the first round tonight. #212528You are just splittings hairs forever-iron, next game is at Rotherham, who will have a better team out than the young lads from Manchester, you cannot make tonight smell like roses, 0-3 at home to make it 16 games without a win!!!!!
You are correct Sanfran, the League team will still consist of Hippo, Green, Rowe and party, the young guys will probably get a couple of ten minute periods during the season.

August 24, 2021 at 9:21 pm in reply to: Out of the second of three cups in the first round tonight. #212521There is still the first round of the FA Cup Alkazar before our 2021 season is completed, it’s only August and as you say mate we are out of two cups and almost out of the League 2.
We just need another home draw to a team like Solihull Moors to complete the season.
Lost 0-3 and a complete waste of time and £10, it was more or less a youth team match, and that bloody commentator that used the word DEFINITELY “267 times” during the 90 mins, was more than one could bare, often a few times every minute it was DEFINITELY. or YES DEFINITELY.
I feel that I shall DEFINITELY wake up in the middle of the bloody night screaming DEFINITELY.
Good to see so many young players given minutes on the pitch, but there is a time and place for this, maybe three trainees out of the eleven, but seven or eight is too much, never mind we still have the FA Cup first round to play before our 2021 season is over.

I am not surprised the foreigners have ruined fine British cuisine! They don’t know what to cook apart from off meat covered in spices! Their muck isn’t fit for purpose, so they will ruin fish and chips! There aren’t many good fish and chip shops now because of this! I hope libtards are happy with the outcome of their diversity! We used to have good chippies, now ruined because this country is being flooded with immigrants who can cut costs!
….as for you Adolph, you are just a hate filled shit stirrer, don’t think any sensible well adjusted folk will be taking much notice of your bilge as the truth.
Iron-awe—-can I detect a bit of racisme in your post ha ha!, the immigrants have to cut cost mate, because they have spent all their money on boat crossing from France, don’t get me started Iron-awebecause it is now 12-40 hrs and I will not be able to sleep wondering how many have crossed today ha ha!

Ernie Beckett’s, Market Place, Cleethorpes.
Sam’s Fish Bar, Marsden Drive, Scunny.
I used to rate Carvers but when Rosie sold it to the Cypriots they put prices up by 25-30% and it’s not what it was.
Witness the lack of queues which used to be out of the door.Another good eat-in is the Wetherby Whaler in Wakefield.
Yes Alkazar, Beckets thats the one I meant, but tell them to cook it lightly battered.
I think we will turn this forum into a fish and chip shop topic, surely there seems to be more interest than talking about Scunthorpe Utd, although UTI99 would feel out of it, because he only uses the GP eatery, but that would be a good thing for us, unless there is a Swann Fish & Chip shop we don’t know about !!!
Funny thing is that I once called at the Wetherby Whaler when OI worked in Scotland, I had three pints in Leeds pub, got the fish and chips and put them on the car roof whilst taking my keys out of my pocket, there was a police car with two cops sitting thirty yards away, christ I got in the car and drove off with the fish and chips still on the car roof, I stopped and retreaved them and gave the cops a smile and slowely drove off!!, a near miss that was.I’ve been to Crewe a few times but can’t remember the fish & chip shop, the last time in one of our promotion years, didn’t there used to be one across the road from Stockport’s years and years ago, but could be wrong.
Bloody hell Mike, I thought Donny was far enough mate, but I am certaily not driving all the way to Crewe or Stockport, but it just highlights the interest in the football club when the fish and chip shop subject takes over this ha ha!, by the way, the Donny shop only opens at lunch time, and not Sun or Mon, but 11-00 hrs till three, and four on Friday and Saturday.
And Les, if you are making reference to whisky pal, I love a single malt and Bunaharban Scotch is my preference, I used to have a collection of eighty odd single malts, but now down to five, I blame that on supporting Scunny ha ha!, but remember the Quayside chip shop near Donny market car park, it is brill. Yes Awaywego, Grimsby is not bad, and at least one trip per week for me, the best one I find is the one opposite Steels in Cleethorpes, the pea bun in Grimsby market is also good, but the bloody fish are so small, but you will not find any bones in them, because they are too young to have devoloped any, you need to order yourself three fish if you are hungry ha ha!
Les—–I feel the same as you do, but as I see it, you are still attending the matches, is there a reason mate, or is it that you have bought a season ticket??
I did that the season before last, and then endured watching a season of boring defensive rubbish, I appreciate that the club are going to have good seasons and bad seasons, but to set off from Barton at one o’clock, drive to GP, then sit in the car park in order to get a blue badge space near to the turnstile, then watch 90 mins of boring rubbish (lets change that to 80 mins) due to leaving before the end, drive back home and then think to myself “what a waste of bloody time and money that was”. I have not attended the two home games this season, and results are a continuation of the past 3 seasons, but I am pleased to hear that effort has improved this season, but once again we have the usual “one shot on target” again, and the regular fans are drifting away. You will always get the odd one like UTI99, who will not have ONE WORD said about the club or owner, and blames the supporters continually, I have a feeling that he is Peters son!!!, but there again I would not expect an educated man to act so childishly and write so much shite, so he maybe isn’t who I think.
I am hoping that the club start to turn things around and I can return to the Cluggy stand, but it is difficult to see this happening, so please change things and start serving up some entertainment.Regarding your liking for fish and chips Les, I am the same mate and we have the same problem of not having any decent chip shops in Barton, they have all been taken over by foreign owners and are all rubbish, once a week I drive to Donny and go to the one near the Market car park, so if you are in Donny please try them, they are brilliant, the name of the shop is “Quayside” but spelt correctly ha ha! UTI99 will surely eat all his meals in the club eatery ha ha!!!
Post match by Cox summed it up. “This is a young squad, an inexperienced squad . They are learning” !!
How many times was that rubbish trotted out !!Yet again he selects the failures of last season, he sets up a negative formation and from what I was told the substitutions were a joke.
Probably doing the job the chairman wants, any guesses on the next home gate ???
Tuesday night v Man City——–972.

You do realise the players we can afford is dependent upon the amount of fans/customers that attend games? The ONLY way to improve the position we are in at the minute is for fans to stick by the TEAM so that reinforcements can be brought in.
You are cutting off your nose to spite your face.
UptheIron99—-I have supported our club for 70 years through thick and thin, do not think that all seasons have been top quality, but never once did I not attend matches when I was available to do so, but I have never felt like this in all those years pal. Being a season ticket holder for 13 years since retirement at 67 years of age, I missed just one match at a time that I left my ticket at home in Barton, but the way our club is being run these days, with no entertaining football or enjoyment, I have just made up my mind to stay away till or should I say, things do change, it looks as though many others are doing the same, in fact I know of 11 fans that have said the same thing. I still think that this is being done delibaratley, because once again it is 15 games without a win, and nothing is being done whatsoever to stop the sickening decline in our club. And what is the point of paying more cash into the club, when it will be thrown down the drain.
I have also not missed a Speedway meeting during past 13 years, but continue to attend because of the entertainment provided, this has stopped at GP for the past 3 or 4 seasons, each of which gets worse than the previous one if possible.
With not being at the game, and it not on IFollower, I am not in a position to make comment on this match, but all I can say is 15 games without a win, how long is the Chairman prepared to go before he decides something must be changed???. I would think that the 2,424 gate will give him a bit of a pointer on what the once loyal supporters are thinking, and why they no longer wish to watch any more of this, and regarding the 9 corners that Hippo took, Tom Newey co,,ented that they were very much wasted. So Les do you not think a 4 rating could have been used for Green and Hippo???, and good to hear that Watson had a good game, people should give him a break after the last two matches.
Another point, but taking one point from home games will result in relegation, which if people wake up, will see that it is looking us in the face, it makes me think that some people want this to happen to OUR once great little club, yes 2,424 suggests that many fans are thinking this.
Les—-I am a bit baffled regarding a couple of things that you have said mate, firstly in your first statement that introduced this topic, you were saying that 90% of rating marks would be covered by 6, 7 or 8 marks and that an odd 5 thrown in, and that this range of marks should cover all ratings, then later you then say that you have issued ZERO marks to three refs, so which one is correct????. Just to add, in my opinion it is not out of the question for a mark of 4 to be given, as an example my two 4 ratings for Rowe and O’Malley, because they both had very poor games against Walsall, and on occasions I feel that a player having an outstanding game should qualify for a 9, just my opinion, but I would think that many football fans will agree with this!!!!.
MK Iron—–I think that the view of matches on IFollower are pretty good mate, and often better than sitting in my old I32 seat in the Cluggy Stand, when having to peer round RSJ roof support columns, surely the cover is good enough to assess what is happening, plus the added input from Mike White and Tom Newey, I am normally in 98% agreement in what they are seeing and saying, they are first class in their views.
I don’t know what the hell happened there ha ha!, but just to complete that statement, The News of the World reports that they published on a Sunday, I often wondered if their reporters had actually been at some of the matches, so in my opinion, it is nice to read the supporters different views on their teams and players performances.
So what conclusion do we arrive at, same as Heath says, we are not professional newspaper reporters, as is the fact that these reporters are not professional supporters of the teams that they are reporting on, going back to when the News of the W
I have done rating marks on Scunthorpe matches for a few years, and consider them to be fair in general, and probably 90% of my marks fall into the scale talked about by Lesgeo, but in my opinion different supporters have slightly different views on players than other fans, so although it is impossible for all to give the same rating marks, it would also be pointless doing it in the first place.
For example I gave rating marks of 4 to both Rowe and O’Malley in last nights match, simply because they both had very poor games in my opinion, I class 5 or 6 as average marks, but their performances last night fell lower than average, so a 4 in my opinion suggests that there is room for improvement, so if you do not agree, just please pass on, or issue your own rating marks.
It is in my opinion very difficult to just use marks of 5-6-7 and 8, I often give a 9, and some times a 4, last night I had two ratings of 4, and just the one rating mark of 9 for the Ref who I thought was outstanding on the night.Interesting to read the views of other supporters.
Well the game has ended in a fair result, after watching the match on I-Follower, to be honest I really enjoyed it.
I just cannot see why we take free kicks that we got in the Walsall half, and play the bloody ball backwards, I hate to see that!!!. Young Pugh had a good game, but he to for some reason, played almost every ball in the last 20 mins backwards when we were losing 1-0, why???
My ratings for tonight were:-
WATSON—7–Played well and did really well.
ROWE—-4—He had a really poor game, and is certainly not League standard.
DAVIS—-8—Was a very good defender, and his passing was first class.
O’MALLEY—-4—Also had a very poor game, and is not good enough.
PUGH—8—He is getting confident with game time, Cox should pull him about back passes.
PERRY—6—Quiet game and not involved as much as he should have been.
ONARIASE—7—Strong as ever in the centre of the defence, no problem with him.
TAFT—6—Did ok without being a stand out player.
BEESTIN—8—-My MOM tonight and worked really well in mid field, plus good to see his goal.
GREEN—6—-Covered a lot of ground, but better when on the wing, cannot see him scoring.
BUNN—8—The first time of seeing him, looked good, and some really good passes by him.SUBS—-Young Wilson played well, and a possible start of a match and maybe 65 mins playing time.
REF—9—A very good ref that let play go on where possible, yes very good performance.
COX—7—Did what he could with this poor squad, but last season supporters were saying that he had taken over some one elses players, well this lot are the team that he has been partly involved in bringing in, so he cannot have is all ways, tonigh was against a very poor team whoes record is nearly as bad as ours, and it is very difficult to see where we are going to get enough points from to survive, maybe Oldham, Walsall and maybe a couple of others will be as bad as Scunny.
