These in the image posted are clearly from before the current wage structure began to be implemented, and the ones at the link are the ones that have been floating about in recent weeks.
Agree with the OP, even with an army of Stu Maw clones basic fundraising simply isnt gonna be enough and hopefully the club and fans can come up with a solution…
It’s going to require something like a monthly / annual / five year / ten year / lifelong membership scheme and subscription model. It needs to be properly set-up, properly committed to. I personally would sign up to something to put more money in, in this way. I’m not sure I’d expect much more in return than just knowing I was making a difference, after the last few turbulent years and the recent increased awareness of how fragile things are. Other members will want something more for their ‘subs’ and so that is an area where the Club and organised fan groups could engage over ideas.
I listened to the FC100000 guy’s BBC Humberside interview again and, in the cold light of day, to be completely fair to him he made some good points about football clubs in general. However, there is no clear proof of concept for his particular ‘new improved version’ business model. I thought as much as he showed an understanding of football clubs as businesses he showed a clear lack of understanding of football fans.

He certainly went in a blaze of glory then. If the club had let him have some burger vans outside on community day, we’d all still be non the wiser ….
We’d know on Thursday with Gareth’s face all over it.

If McCartney hadn’t had leaked it on twitter
Danny Stamp leaked it during a rant, not McCartney.
Don’t think the unity funding group given the benefit of doubt, and most of us have the best interests of the club at heart and are scunny through and through and being critical of things doesn’t change it.
There were concerning red flags there about abuse of money, though, and so people were probably right to question. As a result they seem to have got their house a little more in order, but I haven’t been paying that much attention.
I do think quite a fair point has been made on Gareth’s statement thread on Facebook, in amongst all the love-in. He got one day of what some people had to endure for much longer during Hilton’s tenure due to his and his podcast’s “dog-whistling” etc about Iron Bru. I’m sure if those responsible for the worst of what he’s had to put up with in the last 24 hours fail to apologise or don’t attempt to make it right somehow, just brushing past it smugly, Gareth and any others offended or on the receiving end will be fine with that?
Cant remember the word she used but a word that ment they were well pissed off not to be given the chance to take it forward.
Dismayed

The Gainsborough Trinity guy.
The Club statement is a carefully worded arse-covering exercise.

With Wondergoals. I have issues with the club statement 1/ It says “they put it out to see what fans thought of it” – they did not Aidan McCartney big fan got wind of something and put it out there . 2/ No deal had been agreed yet a video announcing it had been filmed ! 3/ Why was there so many NDA’s if we had nothing to hide and ‘only’ in discussion. 5/ Seems a different meaning you hear it was a possible new investor but the nab from My Club or FCa100000 said they were looking for club Acquisition. There is a big difference in the 2 words INVESTOR and ACQUISITION.
Where’s point 4 ?!
…they did not Aidan McCartney big fan got wind of something and put it out there
Danny Stamp ranted about it before that, on Facebook.

Who?
Well worth listening to, a bit of an eye-opener in some respects.
One or two characters on social media turned up their abuse to Zanetti-on-the-mic volume.

Must have missed it, what’s his link to this FC100 fiasco?
He fronted up the Club’s video announcing the FC100000 deal (filmed last week).

‘Death threats’?! Feck is wrong with people? FFS.
I didn’t see any at all online, so perhaps privately.
Now that’s piss poor Michelle and shows how naive she is, just one press of a button on Google would have shown what a shit show they’d done before.
As ever with official statements of any kind from anyone or anywhere, you have to realise that they are political moves and do not necessarily reflect the nuances or (sometimes) the actual truth of events. They are the convenient account of events, or the convenient position to take to be able to move things forward under your own narrative steam. Statements are often designed to be shields (or, indeed, swords).
I’d be very interested in a more detailed conversation with the club about the exact state of play as of Saturday with rumours of announcement videos having been filmed and the FC100000 website saying a club had been found. It doesn’t tally up.
You’re going to get the Club’s official statement (I posted it elsewhere) and that’s it.

‘wrong un’ is unfair IMO. Misguided I’d say.
Arrogant.
Honestly think those responsible for foisting that debacle on the club and supporters, particularly at the juncture should do the honourable thing and walk.
There’s a more important question: Why should he continue putting money in if his wings have been clipped so humiliatingly like this?

Anyone care to hazard a guess at the team?
Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp.
On the bench: Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp, Ian Sharp.
Sharp’s poster boy for the (now collapsed) deal.
One of the problems is that there is very little football knowledge / experience in fortress Glanford these days.
There’s a lad who lives local who’s been around, played for and managed a few big clubs. Maybe a seat on the board for him?Ditching Turnbull and replacing him with Roberts looking like a rookie move.

I thoroughly despise everything about fc100000, but what I really can’t take is this was all done on the sly. Very underhand. This is something that should’ve been consulted with fans before anything was signed away.
Whoever tried this on, whoever’s brainchild it was, needs to take a few steps back. Even better, leave the club, tail between legs.
This is the most important point for me – if this had been shared with fans for feedback rather than seemingly being dismissed as a non-story at the AGM then we wouldn’t have seen this level of outrage. The fact that it has been conducted in this manner means either incredible naivity, a lack of respect for the fanbase or they just knew what response it would get and decided to push on in secret.
Whichever it was, it doesn’t fill me with confidence.
What the ‘slyness’ suggests to me is that certain member(s) of the board are merely paying lip-service to the idea of community and supporter involvement etc. It’s literally business as usual.

And Sharpish!
I reckon that could sum it up. Fingers crossed.
Hopefully more to come – full explanations, contrition, carpetings, sackings. Even if that particular deal is off, trust and relationships are soured for good.

The wheels might have fallen off this venture
“A deal agreed in principle” page taken down and ripped up..? Although from the outside the last 24 hours have been filled with our Club’s official silence (which has frustrated a lot of people), there’s no way there hasn’t been outright panic behind the scenes. Frantic emergency phone calls, disagreements, I-told-you-sos, tears and tantrums, dummies spat, etc… Perhaps the Club has seen sense or perhaps now FC100000 have glimpsed the utter contempt for them from the supporters and bailed..?

Was the video produced by a professional film maker with a vested interest in the subject?
I remember Sharp lauding the video guys during the panel thing broadcast on Radio Humberside a few months ago, and said he wanted to talk to them about working on a project going forward. If so, joined-up thinking suggests he was possibly referring to the FC100000 launch video, or he could have been talking about providing FC100000 with the rolling behind the scenes content they seem to be suggesting will be part of their deal. Or, indeed, both… which suggests he’s been getting his infrastructure in place for a long time, and that he was lying when he said elsewhere that chats with them didn’t go anywhere.
Twas only Michelle and Roj who came in the DRE on Saturday guess he’s picked his side.
I don’t disagree. I’m saying people only usually mention Sharp (and CEO Roberts) when they talk about ‘that side’ of the divide.

Probably the best PR he could have done, standing up on the side of good versus evil which is being perceived at the moment when it comes to Sharp and Roberts against Michelle, Roj and the club.
Nobody mentions Achinghead these days during these conversations. Perhaps he deserves some of the love?
