Defo needs to worry less about others and let them worry about us, ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK.
It’s almost as if Wilcox is still around.
Argue all you want about minor detail but you can’t escape the fact, it’s been a very long time since a win, we don’t score very often and the footballs been boring for years.
Anyone going to The Sands is going due to loyalty or habit because they certainly aren’t going for the enjoyment it offers.
No amount of bickering is going to change that.August 11, 2021 at 9:53 am in reply to: At what point do we consider the manager is the problem? #211753
The only reason I said a bit early was it’s a new squad who have played two games, however I agree the end point will be the same Cox will go although I expect the chairman will persevere in an effort to preserve cash.
I think it’s more likely Cox will walk of his own accord due to lack of resources.August 10, 2021 at 11:33 pm in reply to: At what point do we consider the manager is the problem? #211725
It’s still a bit early although he is starting to look like a common factor but there’s no chance he will go as theres probably no spare money to pay him off.
Based on past performance with Watson in goal it means we have to score at least two for a draw, or three for a win which is unlikely.
Wasn’t the U23s heralded as the future ?
Does this indicate that next seasons signings will be has beens and journey men ?
That’s all a bit radical CT !
At one time it was normal to have hand me downs from the Cods and Hull, but that was before agents.
I suspect we recruit from an agents catalogue now without even seeing the player perform and that we only deal with one or two agents. I think we should be asking for our money back on some of the duds we bought this season.
I think naivety applies to a number of the players, they know they aren’t getting new contracts apparently but they aren’t exactly putting themselves in the shop window with their pitiful performances.
I expect their agents will be telling them they can get better clubs but in reality those we release will finish up in non league or part time.
What a damp sqib, we are clueless, no attacking threat whatsoever.
Not suprising really, at least theres no pies going to waste this time. Another Tuesday night game to look forwards to. One game less that our new midfield general will miss.
Surely this is just a deliberate leak to phycologically unsettle the cods, we can’t be this badly organised, can we?
I think you’ll find NI’s tongue is firmly in his cheek.
I know it is.
Like he said we were going to have a new stadium to play attractive attacking football in the championship.
Dont believe anything in football until it happens.
Sounds absolutely awful, I’m afraid we we are on track for the National League.
Listening to the prawn on hullberside after the Walsall game didn’t inspire any confidence and I doubt we will see any new players.
Lack of interest from our players is not a new problem, it seems to be a recurring problem year after year, they start OK but then fade away and can’t seem to get away quick enough, just what happens to them when they get here. It something that has happened under succesive managers so it’s not a manager effect, perhaps its something else in the club they aren’t happy with! Maybe it’s something to do with promises made to lure them here which didn’t materialise, how many times did we hear players say they had come because we were having a new stadium and were targeting championship football only to get here and realise it was all a pipedream.
I think today was a mental thing in that given Southend’s position and recent results the players thought they had three points in the bag before they even started, their reaction when they came off at HT suggests this with all the headshaking in disbelief they weren’t in front.
We need some strikers who know where the onion bag is this lot cant hit a barn door !
Its hard to believe we bagged five at Harrogate.
BUMP, back down to earth, normal service resumed.
Barn door syndrome again.
Cox on the radio, he’s in complete denial, really iss out of his depth.
All this raving about 7 from 9 points before tonight, well its 1 from two home games now and that’s shocking.
Cox is clueless why mess with a formation that’s working absolute crap for a home game?
We also have NO threat up front.
Cox has a lot to answer for.
If we aren’t allowed back in sinking sands stadium again this season I’m afraid a lot of us may never see a league match there ever again, we are going down faster than a sinking stone with no hope of return with this leadership.
