I guess it all depends on what sort of legacy he wants to leave behind. Whilst the above seems a real possibility, you have to remember that Swann does have a bit of an ego. Being remembered as the person who single handedly destroyed Scunthorpe United is not something he would willingly want on his CV.
Yes, but Daz. he ISN’T the person responsible, at least, not in his mind.
The responsible persons would be us, the supporters.
So is he goingbto be bothered?
My guess is no.1 user thanked author for this post.
We can’t complain, us morons, can we?
Setting records under Swanny on a regular basis.😄😄😄3 users thanked author for this post.
I see regular word salads being given out by Swann, but I see no actions to back it up. Swann is drinking in the last chance saloon. If he doesn’t follow through on his words, he will forever be remembered as the Chairman who never followed through on his promises, drove a large core of the supporters away, and ruined the club!
And will that bother him?
If he makes a few more £millions selling the land?
And walks away?1 user thanked author for this post.
So did Wilson get a start?
Any game time?If not, says it all really.
Let’s just stick with the guys who can’t/won’t, dhy don’t we?Since Swann took the helm have seen the fans being insulted, castigated, and blamed for the plight the club finds itself in. It’s been a masterclass on how to alienate the owner from the club supporters.
If Swann actually starts to deliver on his promises of ground redevelopment. then backs Keith Hill in the transfer market, releases a timeline of when the ground and facilities will be returned back into SUFC ownership, and leads by example by actually attending the home matches, we might actually see the club regain many of it’s missing supporters.
Hasn’t he just missed his latest deadline? Didn’t he say work was starting by the end of October? Or was it November? December? January 2023?
Seriously, I read all the stuff on here about if he pays off the loan, if he gives us a timeline for giving the stadium back, if he gives us a timeline for stadium development… and I wince.
Have we learned nothing?
Believe NOT ONE THING WILL HAPPEN, until you see it with your own eyes. Some of us need to listen to the old Who classic, “Wont get fooled again”.

Why would he do that?
Your negativity is starting to make no sense.Well it was a wind up.
He takes the job, sees what he’s actually let himself in for and runs away.Sorry if you thought it was real 🙄
I wish I had the optimism of some on here.
I just cannot see it changing enough to save us.
Hope I’m wrong…

And he had the gall to say the club had been run like a hobby under Wharton.
It probably was…but to say that and then come and run it like a family playing X-Box… unbelievable.

stop spreading rumours alcoholic and stick to your whisky
Hate whiskey or whisky.
Gin or brandy, rum or vodka, but not whisky. It’s OK supporters staying away and it is your decision, but if you stay away and come on here boasting about not coming and the club folded just remember you helped with the demise, I agree with the reasons like the chairman over the last 3 years and the dire football and negative tactics but if the club folded and the club restarted we would be playing Brigg and Barton OB or no club at all and then the owner could recoup his money on development of other projects.
What’s your point?
No-one who has stopped going should return while the Swanns are still there.Otherwise, you are condoning what he/they have done.
If we fold, maybe they will b*gger off.
And we can get behind the new club as it rises up the leagues. With the support following you envisage, it should be easy?
Less than 2k home fans there today, albeit an Fa cup 1st round tie but staggeringly Low nonetheless.
Even if we achieve the seemingly impossible at the minute and put together some form on the pitch, there will still be roughly 1,000 regulars missing.
How do the club entice people back?
It will be a long and difficult battle.
Some of us on here tried to warn Swann that once supporters left, it would be very very difficult getting them back.
Sadly, the fat man knew better. He’s an astute businessman, don’t y’know, with much knowledge and experience of the entertainment industry.Seems he didn’t do his research.
On the one hand, we can spend our money and quite a lot of it, to sit/stand in a boring, draughty, ageing stadium, with poor sight lines, crap catering, filthy toilets, surly stewards and boring negative football. Oh, and a set of directors who referred to us as morons, couldn’t be *rsed to answer letters and treated us a nuisance afterthought.
Or you can spend money on anything else and end up with more entertainment and satisfaction.Get them to come back?
Aye.

In a direct answer to the thread header .. UP THE LEAGUE AND SAVED FROM RELEGATION.
Believe it when you see it.
THAT is definitely the rule for this club under Swann.IF they are both crocks, and IF they have been crocks for as long as, it begs the question:
What kind of utter moronic lunatic signed/offered a new contract to them?2 users thanked author for this post.
Perfect appointment for us right now, I think he’ll do really well and if we stick with him you just never know what he could deliver.
Well done Peter, now just let him get on with it and support him in January and you’ll have started to earn some credit back!!
Muahahaha.
Can Swanny stop himself?
MuahahahaRealistically think this was the best appointment we could have hoped for from the available options (Nige was never going to come back!). Hopefully he’s able to put some fight and determination in this squad and tells Swanny where to go if he tries to do any meddling!
And then “mutually” agrees to leave, a bit like Hurst did?

Out at the first hurdle. It’s the Iron way, don’t y’know.
Best advice he could get:
Any player reporting injured/sick to have independent testing and fined if not genuine.2 users thanked author for this post.
Yeah. I get the irony but with some of the folly we have seen – there has seemingly been more sense overall on here than we have seen from the previous meddling.
EFA
Three months.
He and Swann fall out, (par for the course with Swanny), and Hill walks.Still going down, guys.
😉😉😉Why is it the majority of you just cannot see that it does not matter who is Manager of this football club? get into your heads that while Swann is here we could have a Jurgen and Pep double act and it won’t make a blind bit of difference!!! How many Managers have we had under Swanns tenure? 8? 9? Ive lost count!!! You can’t tell me they have all been bad Managers and if they have how can Swann get it so wrong on so many occasions???
Cox was yet another scapegoat! the person that needs to go is Swann, until he does we will just keep doing what we have been doing since he took over, dropping lower and lower.
SOD OFF SWANN AND TAKE YOUR FOOTBALL MANAGER WANNABE SON WITH YOU!
This
If you don’t care Alcy why not drift off into the sunset? Instead of repeating the same old same old, we no where your coming from and there’s no coming back for you until swanny leaves.
I’m as entitled to my opinion as anyone, you included.
Opinions are like arseholes, we’ve all got one.
If you don’t like mine, you can jog on.
You don’t have to read it.I suspect, given the diminishing number of supporters through the turnstiles, I’m not the only one had enough of the fat man.

Going…..DOWN, going down going down.
Going down going down going daaown. You heard it here first.
That would be one way of covering the losses!
This comment was not intended to imply anything inappropriate was taking place.
Remember O’Leary was odds on and didn’t get the job, so the odds can be misleading.
Coward😅😅😅😅
Realistically?
Waste of time and money.
We KNOW who makes the decisions, whose club it is.
Let him do it…and stand or fall by it.
I’m past caring.Big and nasty striker…has Stefan Payne presently got a club?
It’s all pretty much academic, though, isn’t it?
Players now are so much more entitled. They seem to do as they please, not following the manager’s instructions.
Then, when sonething upsets them, they sulk and stop trying. There’s more than one manager lost his job because the players played to “get rid”. The HEIGHT of dishonesty, but there you go.Face it guys, we could resurrect Cloughy, Alf Ramsey and Matt Busby and they still couldnt keep this lot up.
Down by Christmas. We need to start updating our satnavs for non-league destinations.
1 user thanked author for this post.
No chance. He took over FGR on an interim basis with the club doing really well – great team spirit and competent players – so something to work with. Here we have a hotchpotch of players from the average to the downright should never play football again even in their backyard types. Throw into the mix a disinterested chairman and we should not be anywhere near JB (nothing against him but it won’t work)
Sooooo… quite likely to happen then?
I’d put that option down in the “cheap route” column.
So quite likely to happen, then?
Applicants:

Wil Swann
Will Swan

Evidently Swanny has received over 50 applicant’s already.
Hang on, just got to watch that flock of pigs flying past my house.
