Scunthorpe United have lost out in the race for Hastings United hot shot Davide Rodari, who has joined Sky Bet League Two club Crawley Town on a permanent transfer.
Hastings United CEO Billy Wood confirmed he accepted offers from both clubs for the 21 year old, who opted to remain in Sussex and completed a move to Crawley this afternoon for an undisclosed fee.
Rodari, who was born in Switzerland and is of Italian and Dutch descent, spent time in the academy at Inter Milan and scored 22 goals in 22 games for Hastings during the 2019/20 season before the league was curtailed due to COVID-19.
