Awaywego never fails to get a sly dig in, does he ?
Will you continued to get paid in your roll as club stooge now Swannster is facing financial difficulties ?
As soon as Lavery goes we will really be in deep shit. Apter has probably lost the will to live so he won’t be a huge miss but is still a player less we can call upon.
Lavery is the only one who knows where the goal is !
Carver is absolute dog mess. Dewhurst is terrible but now with Foster out, crikey!
Nthle and Hallam as a gust of wind away from 2 or 3 months out.
Bit off topic but somebody needs to come out and shed some light on this takeover, it’s taking the pish now.
But not sure how he would win or lose going down that path.
Undoubtedly he’d win, wouldn’t he ?. The club will get wound up but he will keep the assets he signed over to coolsilk.
I wonder whether he suspected there was a chance this would happen and that’s why he did what he did ?
We knew as soon as Swann signed over the club assets to coolsilk we’d be in the shite. Swann said he happily sign the assets over but let’s face it, he’ll most likely be waiting for the club to fold to then recoup some decent money and sell the land of to developers.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he hasn’t already rounded up some prospective buyers. To give up this club he’ll want a double payment for the club assets and the club it’s self, which will make a takeover near impossible.
Swann won’t give a shite. If Swann sold the site on to a developer for say £6-7 million, he’ll be laughing his todger off.
I’ll change the above to ” which was PROBABLY largely his wife’s “. I obviously can’t say for certain.
Didn’t she somewhat hold the purse strings though ?
I don’t have any sympathy for him whatsoever. Swann has literally gambled a large amount of money away “which may have been largely his wife’s”…..spent money here he never should have spent and probably knew deep down what he was spending was wrong and then signed over the clubs assets to his company to cover the mess up he caused which has made a new takeover nearly impossible to get over the line.
How the feck can you sympathise with that carry on ?
Swann has completely destroyed the club.

I was purely working on the premise that if we were to be taken over and signed 7 or 8 quality players would there be enough time to salvage this season but maybe I’ve overdosed on Christmas turkey.
The entertaining nature of the football will never supersede the appalling decision to host it in Qatar due to its many human rights issues.
This country isn’t exactly squeaky clean. Let’s not forget we joined Americans in bombing and killing hundreds of thousand of people, under the pretext of there being a weapon of mass destruction, only turns out there wasn’t one.
Look back in history and look how much shit this Island country of ours has caused.
Money brought the football to Qatar, infantino is no better than Blatter only difference is he’ll be spreading the back hander money out to everybody in his organization instead of keeping the bulk of it himself and giving the rest to the select few.
Do you really think if Qatar were a hard up country that the World Cup would have ended up there ?
Fifa haven’t cleaned themselves up. They didn’t give a shit where it ended up, all they cared about was who put the most money up to stage it.
Said before that we should play the players where they’re supposed to be played. Rowe should be at RB. I really don’t understand our club.
understand the deal agreed prior to the Notts County game did not include the land.
That explains it then. Deal must have been just for the club and ground. I’m guessing the training ground wasn’t even included in the initial deal then ?

The good news is that he’s not asking for anything like £6 million.
The bad news is that the offer made for the entire site is nowhere near what he wants.
I can’t see it ending well as it stands.I’m sure Sharp stated that the ground was included in the supposed agreed price. I wasn’t aware he put a bid in for surrounding land as well. I thought that other consortium were the ones who supposedly bid for it all.
I stand corrected.
I suspect Turnbull would have been told it was nowhere near completion, hence why Nuttall was pushed out the door to pay this month’s wages.
Could you imagine what our offering would be ?.
3 sprouts, lumps gravy and some rubbery chicken.
Sorry I forgot about you, TwoWights.
I can now confirm that every poster on this forum besides barton and TwoWrights haven’t wet themselves.

This supposed takeover is worrying with the amount of time it’s taking. Turnbull said there would be questions answered in the next 7 days but from that interview nobody has heard a thing.
I have a horrible feeling Swannster is going to move the goalposts in terms of price and Sharp and co will end up walking away.

Let’s all hope it’s a positive sign. Where Swann is concerned, until he’s gone he’s akin to a sloth clinging to a tree branch for dear life.
Only the best option if the money goes into getting somebody else in which I don’t think is going to happen.
Who do you think will pay the wages at the end of the month?
Mr Swann or Mr Elliott & Mr Sharp?Nuttall fee. Swann’s obviously not here but Turnbull will be acting on his behalf.
I am calm. I just think people took the news and ran too far with it.
Kane for the most part is a one trick pony and he always goes that side of the goal. A vintage Ronaldo or Messi would have just rolled that in the other corner and kept their head but that’s the difference between Kane and the top, top world elite strikers.
I know it’s a lot of pressure to shoulder but that was dreadful.
The club statement and Turnbull on the takeover “a deal as been agreed” Both on the 1st of December.
No, not exactly said a cast iron fee had been agreed but when you read such headlines, it gives off the impression it’s been sorted and we’re just waiting for it to be finalized. Matt’s also latest podcast titled “new dawn” was a further indication people just got far too ahead of themselves.
This has been a huge balls up. The club PR department need their knuckles wrapped. This should have been treat with caution when the news broke.
A bloody formal bid hasn’t even been accepted yet.

Yes he did probably come to an agreement of the verbal variety which means feck all.
I was under the impression that Swann decided to sell the club and had agreed a cast iron fee and we were just waiting for it to finalize.
It appears Swann hasn’t even accepted or declined a formal bid !
All this talk of new dawn was way wide of the mark.
How can Sharp n co be going through due diligence when a Swann seemingly hasn’t even received a formal bid yet ?
I suspect the sale of Nuttall will be used to pay this coming month’s wages in case this drags out.
1 user thanked author for this post.
I don’t think this sale is going through. No way in a million years if it was serious/close then no player would be sold never mind the top scorer.
I thought player sales were suspended at clubs during the takeover process.
Swann seemingly still holds the aces.
I’m telling you now, this takeover isn’t happening. I told you all not to get too excited.
I wonder what hidden surprised the auditors have found while pouring over the club accounts more thoroughly.
No way in a million years it’s going through. I find it hard to believe that Sharp and co would have sanctioned it which means Turnbull is probably behind this with the say so of Swann.
If that is indeed the case the money won’t get pumped back into the club. This whole carry on with the club appears very, very dodgy.
There without doubt should be a panel set up overseeing this type of carry in the lower leagues. Swann should have had his knuckles wrapped on the very first season we/he decided to spend more than what we were earning.
One point he spent around 120% more than what we were earning. A panel overlooking such matters should have nipped that in the bud very early on because that’s absolutely ridiculous.
More certainly needs to be done.
I wonder who may have been behind his change of style ?
It wouldn’t have been pressure put on him by a certain someone, would it ?
“Not knocking him just letting it be known financially for the club he was just as bad as Swann”
Awaywego, have you been on the crack pipe again ?
Look at the club accounts. Swann came we were 2million in debt, now look how much we are in debt. How the hell can Wharton be even uttered in the same breath as Swann ?
You’re an absolute maniac !
Wharton was ultra safe with the clubs money and the money did dry up towards the end of his tenure but he was nowhere near as bad for the club as Swann has been, it’s not even close.

Turnbull needs to go. When was the last time he unearthed a gem ?. Turnbull also stated last month that wages being paid weren’t a problem, low and behold the next month we are in deep shit and can’t pay wages of staff and players.
Daws is a complete disaster. Nelson is shite. Only person I’d keep is the Kit Man Stanton. Everybody is needs to piss off, we need a complete clear out and the structure that was in place when Wharton was here needs to be put back into place.
2 users thanked author for this post.
Nelson certainly needs binning off after that today, which was arguably tactically worse than Daws. O’Malley is fit so why not play him ?
I would have gone O’Malley LB, Ogle RB and played Rowe in CB instead of the inexperienced Ethan Young. I didn’t get that at all today, made no sense whatsoever and made a hard game even harder.
Why not just play players where their supposed to be played ?
2 users thanked author for this post.
Very quiet nobody complaining everything at the club is Rosey now hmm
Well the fact we most likely will still have a club to support has been the comforter in this shit show.
What do you want people to do, moan because we haven’t signed any players yet ? lol
1 user thanked author for this post.
David O’Leary or guilt trip Adkins to take it till the end of the season in a bid to achieve a fairy tale ending.
Turnbull said until everything is tied up and the ownership has fully gone through “mentioned a few weeks”, only then will we looking at a new manager.
I just hope by that time we aren’t 10 points adrift.
